Has anybody harnessed the Content area API of portal version 308.
I am laying down the specs to write a command line utility for item upload.
I was wondering if i am pioneer or we already have pioneers...:)
also if pioneers are willing to share their experiences.

I have the same problem, although mine has not been solved by ESET update, finder settings, PRAM & SMC resets or anything else.
Don't get it, my external hard drive still works on both my housemates computers - one macbook pro (with snow leopard) and one dell, just not on mine with mountain lion.
Any ideas for me guys?

Can somebody point me to the documentation about Content Area APIs and also the documentation about the views of the Content Areas ?
I have not been able to find nothing else that what is available in the package specs.

A brief search. Or even glancing at the "more like this" list to the right will show that this is a known problem and there is no current solution. Workaround includ saving to the desktop and importing from there or opening in Quick Look and adding to iPhoto from there

I've been having the same problem since iCloud appeared and complicated an otherwise trouble-free system. Doubling frustrating is that iCloud duplicates my .Mac account so I get two of everything in my Inbox. I turned off iCloud and now mail at least goes out but I can't delete the duplicate account.

Using Content Area API's

Hi,
I want to use public API to add items to content areas. However this API ( wwsbr_api) seems only work when user is Portal30. When i try to run this API with other user it fails.
i've run the script sbrapi.sql to add some grant to the user.
This is the command that i'm trying to run with a database user that is diferent from portal30

My Mac is becoming slow and is incompatible with many softwares and websites. Does anyone know of any problems associated with this upgrade? Clearly there are some applications I need to remove and no doubt my HD could do with a 'spring clean'. My Mac 'Safe Booted' when I turned it on this morning.
I use many different softwares, some web-based. The decision to upgrade to OSX Yosemite is because I was unable to attend a Webinar this week using GoToMeeting downloadable software. GoToMeeting have upgraded their system and my OS is no longer supported. Other websites like VImeo no longer support my version of Safari. I tend to use Chrome if Safari isn't compatible.
Problem description:
I'm thinking of upgrading from v10.6.8 Snow Leopard to OS X Yosemite. However I have noticed that my MacBook Pro becoming ‘slow’ over the last 3 weeks and therefore might have some issues that need to be resolved before I even consider installing OSX Yosemite. Have you added any software recently? Say, anything that shows up in System Preferences> Others, which might suggest a problem trying to load some system-level extension with permissions issues? Or a third-party softwar einstaller that asked for an administrative password?
Depending on the OS version and the third party software you have installed, you may be able to fix things by running Disk Utility> Repair Permissions on the hard drive (ignore the "we are using special permissions" reports).
(Your can use the My Settings link under your user name in the box on the left of the Discussions pages to add such useful info as your OS version, RAM, CPU speed, and the like.)

TS3276 Difficulties using Stationary in Mail: Cannot save to send separately to multiple email addresses or groups. Some recipients do not see the whole email- bottom is cut off. Anyone else wrestling with this?

How can you save to resend to additional emails or groups? When you hit SAVE where is it saved to? SAVE AS is not an option.
I have received complaints that only Half the message was received. Is Stationary not compatible with all mail programs or operating systems?

What does the Array() mean anyways? Moving on, then I typed:
sudo pear upgrade --alldeps Mail
and it upgraded successfully. Now the code is working and I am sending email again! Thank you so much for your help in leading me to the solution (--alldeps). If you find out how to get the error reporting to work again let me know, and I will do the same if I figure it out.

Content Area API in 9.0.2 (wwsbr_api) is there a workaround?

The end goal is to have a button in a region that takes users to an add item form. I want to have the button right on the page, without having to go to edit mode.
So, looking at the PDK I see wwsbr_api.add_item.

Unfortunately, 9.0.2.2.22 does not support this API. Additionally, this document references a view, WWSBR_ALL_FOLDER_REGIONS, that does not exist in this release of Portal.
Does anyone have a suggestoin for how to do this in 9.0.2?

11g XE is actually based on 11.2.0.2.0. It actually includes some fixes and changes in addition to that patchset.
That means the problem either exists in all post-11.2.0.2 releases or is due to some XE-specific change. If you experience the problem in any post-11.2.0.2 or 12c release, let me know. I can file a bug and have the problem identified and fixed.
With an XE bug, it can't be fixed until Oracle's next XE release, even if we identify it now. That will likely be around a year after Oracle releases DB 12c R2.

I am unable to uninstall itunes (to install new version as well). It says I don't have sufficient access rights yet I am the Adminstrator. Anybody else with this problem? Is there a fix?

I have had a problem updating iTunes on my PC using Windows 7. It will not allow me to uninstall the current version of iTunes (10.2.2). The first Windows Installer box says: "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation."
Then a Programs and Features box comes up and says: "You do not have sufficent access to uninstal iTues. Please contact your system administrator."
Well, I am the Administrator yet it won't let me do this uninstall. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmmm. Nothing instantly springing out at me as looking wrong there.
Let's try reregistering the Windows Installer service.
First, launch a command prompt as an administrator. In your Start search, type cmd then right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".
At the command prompt:
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Any better luck this time?

I work with CS5.6 on RAW pictures shot with a Canon EOS 5 Mk II and have problems saving. Mycomputer is 32-bit with 4 Gb RAM, Windows 7.

Its saying exactly what it means you do not have enough memory to save the file. You can either change the properties to save a smaller image
Or update your computer. In order to use the entire 4GB of RAM your computer needs to be 64bit not 32. 32bit can only access 2GB of ram and some apps can access an additional GB of ram. But if you do upgrade your computer get 6 or 8 GB of Ram, you will be happy you did.

HT4528 When trying to install free apps, I get a window requiring verification updates before purchasing. I am requested to submit certain credit information. What's up with this? They are FREE apps?

I have recently attempted to install free apps. Every time I try I get a message requesting verification for credit purchases, and a need to update my info. Why would this even come up for a free app? If this was a Windows phone I would immediately think I had been hacked!

The iTunes account requires that payment information be set up and verified before using it.
