Anylizing Data in Forms Central

I am wondering if I can have a team member approve a form, and then have that form then be shared with other teams members?

Hi,
Can you give me more details in what you mean by having "a team member approve a form"?
If you are referring to a document-approval-workflow then FormsCentral does not support it.
On how to share a form with other teams members with different access right you can refer to this link for more informaiton:http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2462
Thanks,
Lucia

  • If you cancel your Forms Central Subscription do you get a final cancel invoice?

Since the Forms Central Service is being discontinued in July, I have cancelled my Subscription because I needed to find a new service. Did not want to start something and then have half my data on Forms Central and the remainder on the new service.
I am being billed for an early termination fee (even though this service will no longer be offered) and for the prorated monthy charge for March.
Is there a final Invoice that is sent for these charges?
I have to reconcile my expense report for these charges with my Corporate Credit Card statement.
This service was cancelled around March 6th, 2015.
    Thank you.

    Thank you again.
Yes we are going throught it now.

  • Setting an automatic future Closing Date for forms

    Hi
Is there any way to set an automatic closing date in Forms Central? For example, setting a time-limited survey for either a set time (eg two weeks) or a set date and have the form automatically close for responses.
If not, is this a feature that can be added in updates?
    Regards
    John Robinson

    Hi,
This feature is not available in FormsCentral. You can only close the form mannually.
    Thanks,
    Wenlan

  • Why not keep Forms Central as a separate product to stand and sell on its own. I use it for client information to process their data-ptocessing in my mailing business; do not need or want electronic tabulation. I would be happy to pay several hundred doll

I use a Forms Central form to ask questions of clients to return with their mailing database; tabulation is not wanted or required. From the answers and boxes marked, I have most or all the information to process data in accordance with the United States Postal Service. After, I return the data and paperwork including eDoc worked so that my company wins, the US Postal Service and my client (and possibly their client) wins! If Forms central was simply an interactive forms builder used for direct B2B or B2C information, it would be a winner. If I wanted SurveyMonkey, then would get it but I and others like me do not need or want tabulation services as I assume Adobe looked at Forms Central as a cash cow; it isn't that at all for me.

    Hi,
In this scenario, you can share the document with the clients to and provide co-author privileges.
Co-authors can edit the form design, options, responses, and summary report (everything that you can do).
Note:- They do not require a paid subscription to view the responses, free subscription users can become co-authors.
Please refer to the following thread to know how to share a form with others:-How do I share a form I created with others?

  • How do I change the date format in Forms Central from mm/dd/yyy to dd/mm/yyy?

I'm using Forms Central on a Mac and need to convert the US date format to the one used in Australia ie from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy. I've tried Field properties and can't see any other options. Is there a quick fix somewhere?

This is covered in the free documentation provided by Adobe for Acrobat JavaScript.
    Acrobat JavaScript documentation
    Use date objects
Convert the date string to the date object, then use the util.printd method to reformat the date object as needed.

  • Is data analysis possible with Forms Central?

Does FormsCentral have an internal feature that you turn on, wherein it gives you an average rating of specific collected data? For instance, if I am doing a survey, does Forms Central have the capacity to give me a statistics report of the collected answers to one question?

To answer your first question: yes, you can construct an Enterprise Data Warehouse using the Business Objects product stack.
BO Data Integrator XI (now bundled with Data Quality in the Data Services XI offering) is very well suited to design enterprise-strength ETL processes to load, transform and cleanse your source data. When you aren't building a very complex solution, you may even create your data models from within Data Integrator XI although I would normally prefer to use an external tool such as Sybase PowerDesigner, Embarcadero ER/Studio or ERWin (if all else fails).
The Business Objects XI suite allows your end-users to access the data in your EDW environment using whatever product or combination of products is most suited for your needs - Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Voyager, Xcelsius, Explorer.
The choice to use SAP BW or an external (RBMS based) Enterprise Data Warehouse completely depends on your specific requirements, data sources, infrastructure, etc. Your BI Strategy and Roadmap should give you a clear insight.
Attempting to implement an enterprise-wide BI solution without a proper business-driven strategy would not be recommendable if you want your BI solution to deliver tangible value to your stakeholders and deliver on any ROI promises made to generate business buy-in.

  • How do I add a functional "submit button" to a pdf form in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI ? I created the pdf form in Adobe Forms Central.

How do I add a functional "submit button" to a pdf form in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI ? I created the pdf form in Adobe Forms Central. It's for an online Diet Questionnaire. After people complete the form I'd like them to click "SUBMIT" and the completed form will be emailed to me.

This can be a bit confusing because Acrobat 11 comes with the desktop app that allows you to create simple PDF forms without having a FormsCentral account. Some people find this helpful, but you need to understand that when you generate the PDF form, it is Reader-enabled by Acrobat. In order to edit the form further in Acrobat, you have to create a non-enabled copy of the form. You do this in Acrobat by opening the form and selecting: File > Save a Copy
and opening the copy. It is not opened automatically.
You can now add a button and set it up to submit by email, either using a "Submit a form" action or the submitForm JavaScript method. You can set it up to include just the form data or the entire PDF, and will want to use a mailto type URL. Submitting the form to the FormsCentral server has a number of important advantages over email (much more reliable, more secure, etc.), so you might want to consider it.
If the form needs to be saved with Reader versions prior to 11, then you will need to Reader-enable the document. In Acrobat 11 you do this by selecting: File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools

I created a pdf form and then imported it to Forms Central for distribute. It is now loaded to my website and setup so a person clicks on the link to open the form. At this point they then have to go to upper right to open form using a different view. I would like the form to open directly in Adobe Reader form to make it easier to enter information. Thanks, Ike

If you created it in Forms Central, you have to edit it there. I believe Forms Central is similar to LiveCycle Designer in that the form created is no longer able to be edited in Acrobat. I might be wrong, but that is my understanding. You add the submit button in Forms Central. Within Acrobat, you should be able to go to the forms menu and Manage Data to save the data to an Excel file. Others better with forms should be by to clarify things, but this should get you started. In the future you might find it better to post a forms question in the forms discussions.

  • Printing a fillable .pdf originally created in Forms Central, but not submitted properly?

    HELP!
I created a scholarship application for High School Seniors, but most of them found the submit button didn't work for them, so they just saved and attached the fillable .pdf to an e-mail.  So, now I have these .pdf files that because they were created in Forms Central, cannot be uploaded to Forms Central for data manipulation.   Also, it seems I an unable to easily print these files with the filled sections visible.  I also tried converting them to .docx and .xlsx, but the filled data didn't convert.   I need to distribute these applications to my committee somehow for voting!   If I can't print them, nor can I distribute them through Forms Central... what can I do???

This FAQ explains why the Submit button may not work.
    http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2653
They need to be filled out using Adobe Reader. The students filled them out with a PDF Reader that doesn't properly support PDF forms.
Do you have Adobe Acrobat? If you open those forms in Adobe Acrobat and do a save as it will fix the issue.

  • With Forms Central can I set up a form to send out an automatic PDF document like a quote?

With Forms Central can I set up a form to send out an automatic PDF document like a quote? In other words when my customer fills out the form and puts their email address on the form it automatically sends them a PDF quote on a piece of merchandise that I have. If not is Form Central compatible with Web Merge?

    Hi;
At this time FormsCentral does not have the ability to send the PDF in the "Email Reciept", you can set up Email Reciepts to send the form filler a reciept with the form data, but it does not attach a PDF of the form.
FormsCentral is not compatible with Web Merge.
    Thanks,

  • Responses for Imported Form are not showing in Forms Central but in Tracker?

I imported pdf fillable form.  Added Submit button to lower right. Changed Form State to Open in Distribute tab.  Then Saved Submission Enabled PDF.  I then Downloaded the PDF to my computer.  I went to the PDF saved on my computer and Distributed the form using the Distribute command on Forms menu.  Responses are showing in Tracker but not on Forms Central.  Anyone know why?

Don't do this step: "I went to the PDF saved on my computer and Distributed the form using the Distribute command on Forms menu. "
That broke the file. That Acrobat distribute feature pre-dates FormsCentral and will break our workflow.
You can distribute the form anyway you want - you do not need to use Acrobat. Just send an email or post to the web yourself.

  • Saving and distributing from Forms Central

After I create the fillable form and identify each box value, save it on desktop, then go to Forms Central to distribute, I'm not given the option of distributing. I have to send the saved form out several times to several different users, and cannot re-create the form each time. How do I save it and make it allow me to distribute again and again at later date?

It is unclear to me if you are trying to create an HTML workflow or PDF. Can you please clarify the exact steps you use to create the form and your desired means of distribution?
