Anyone captured an RLDP trace

I have not been able to get WiSM controllers on 4.x code to detect a wire-side rogue with open auth (Cisco AP and Apple Airport Express). It did find the open Airport AP once when running 3.x code, but has not since the upgrade.
Has anyone succcessfully captured the Rogue Location Discovery Protocol in action (and has a trace they can share)? Anyone seen an LWAPP AP associate through a Rogue and report it back to the controller?
Thanks,

In order for an AP to be detected as a rogue, the following conditions must be present :
-the AP must be 'seen' at least 2 times (through beacons or probes)
-the AP's mac must also be seen on the wired segment
-the AP must be sending beacons or probes
-the AP must be on channel & band that is being monitored.
you may refer to the configuration guide for more information, hope this helps :

  • Capturing errors in trace file

If I intentionally out a error in report and run it through report bulider, the trace file shows proper errors.
But, If I try to run it from command prompt, it produces the trace file but dosen't give error information. I have tried giving TRACEOPT = TRACE_ALL. and all other trace options. Do we have any other way to capture errors in report.?
My reqirement is to log the errors produced in the report to a table, and find out the successful execution of the report.

    Hi All ,
MY database is oracle 11G , SParc OS 64 Bit , i got the same error on my primary database.
Please find the exact error below :

    KQRCMT: Write failed with error=604 po=3ebb848b0 cid=13
diagnostics : cid=13 hash=d906a6b flag=2aThat is the only error in the trace file.

  • Anyone captured print jobs using RS-232?

I've had a couple of earlier posts with good responses, and I thank those who've responded so far. I have a print job coming out of a handheld controller thru an RS-232 port. I need to capture the data and save it, but the data is corrupted under my current setup and just prints numerous pages of garbage instead of a small plot.
The ideal situation is this: I grab the data coming via COM1, save it to a file, then print it later by forwarding the file to the printer on our network. I do NOT have the option of plugging the printer in directly (unfortunately).
Attached is a screenshot of the vi I'm using. I have disabled the string search option and am looking for the end of the file using the waveform chart. I've
also unwired the TCP printer stuff for the time being until I figure out the data corruption.
    Thanks!

Yes, I'm using the chart to see the end of bytes transmission. I forgot to strip out the array - I was using that to go to the last array entry and see the termination char sequence. The data file is corrupted without the array being in place.
I'm wondering how to get the loop to acquire data only when the buffer is filled and ready. It seems to be acquiring when I don't need it to (hence the whitespace), and I don't know how to correct it. I do understand why there is leading whitespace, but need help with the inbetween stuff.
A data file I just acquired is attached with no modifications, along with current pics of my vi. Note the interesting spikes to 16 bits when there should only be 8 bits available. That doesn't happen each t
ime, but it did on this run.
    Thanks Dennis!

  • Anyone capturing SD video using a firewire card successfully?

If so, can you please tell me what particular firewire card you have been using. I have just ordered a Belkin Firewire card (Texas instrumwents) on account of my existing firewire card not being able to capture. I have tried changing over to the Legacy driver - still does not work. My specs are:
    Adobe PPro Cs 5.5
    Windows 7 64 ultimate
    12 gigs Ram
    i7 930
    gfx 470 graphics card.
If anybody else has been having this problem and resolved it, I would love to know. Thanks in advance.

  • Has anyone captured HD with FCE 3.0?

Is FCE 3.0 HD compatible? I had to download an HD plugin for Quicktime to play HD! Is that normal? Is there a plugin I'm supposed to download so FCE 3.0 can recognise HD?

    Hi(Bonjour)!
HD20 shoot in HDV (the consumer format for HD) , so all material you capture in FCE HD is captured toward Apple Intermediate Codec as stated earlier.

  • I found a bug in Power Query. Anyone know why this occurs?

It took some time to isolate the cause of this.
One of our SharePoint sites couldn't successfully be connected to with Power Query for Excel 2013.  We would receive this message: "DataSource.Error: OData: The feed's metadata document appears to be invalid."
I made a site template and started making copies of the failing site in order to test the cause of the error.
I narrowed it down to 16 lists that, if present on the site, would cause the connection to fail.  Those lists' names were simply numbers.  For example: "1", "2", etc.
I noticed in the Listdata.svc feed for the site that only the choice columns were included in the metadata and not the single line of text column names.  In Listdata.svc, it appends a "c_" in front of the both the list and choice column
names if the list name starts with a number.
After many tests I believe I have confirmed you cannot start the name of a list with a number IF you have a choice column in that list.  Anyone know why this is?

    Hi,
Thanks for reporting this issue. Would you be able to capture some Fiddler traces and send them our way so we can take a closer look at the underlying errors?
Feel free to send them via "Send a Frown" in PQ for privacy.

  • What is needed to do a remote trace?

I am interested in logging events from Microsoft-Windows-HttpService on a remote machine. I'm in a corporate environment and all the computers use Windows Auth. I have access to the remote machine. Are there certain permissions that I need  in order
to remotely trace? Is it even possible? I'm not sure how to troubleshoot. Right now, I just get this error when I try to start tracing:
    Start Trace Error
Failed to start one or more trace session(s) due to the following error(s):
    Unable to start the ETW session Trace-Session-1-{8b6b4b20-33da-487e-b95d-ff240a2cdcc9}
    OK

You should be able to use this method with Windows 2008 R2 and higher.  http://blogs.msdn.com/b/canberrapfe/archive/2012/03/31/capture-a-network-trace-without-installing-anything-works-for-shutdown-and-restart-too.aspx
    Run it remotely via:
wmic /node:<hostname> process call create "netsh trace start persistent=yes capture=yes tracefile=c:\temp\nettrace-boot.etl"
    When you're finished testing, run:
wmic /node:<hostname> process call create "netsh trace stop"
Then copy over the trace files and view it locally in Network Monitor or Message Analyzer.

  • Trace for a Oracle Callbacks

Does anyone know how to TRACE the 'sessions' that are performing the callbacks? I need to report the performance statistics and usages involved with using the PL/SQL callback.
I have tried putting the instance into trace mode (alter system set sql_trace=true) and restarting the instance but I can not find any evidence of my callback procedure being called in the resulting trace files.
    Thanks
    Russell

    Thanks for the responses.
'Callback' is a term used by Oracle, within the context of AQ, for notification of automatic notification of new messages. For your education, it can either execute a PL/SQL procedure, generate an email or make a HTTP request.
I am attempting to trace on a v10.2 database, but the process for trace is typically the same across versions (excepting some old versions).
re Dan: thos sort of reply is not at all helpful, could I suggest if you do not know the subject matter then do not reply. In that way volunteers can save a lot of valuable time
According to Metalink (Note:305662.1) these processes can be traced by the following method :
    QUOTE>>
    1. For CPU consumption issues sql trace the QMON process in question by doing the following
Determine the pid of the qmn process (by viewing the OS processes), call it X
    sqlplus "/ as sysdba"
    oradebug setospid X
    oradebug unlimit
oradebug Event 10046 trace name context forever, level 12
    --Generate trace for 20 minutes
oradebug Event 10046 trace name context off

  • Capturing OnLocation to a SAN drive

Is anyone capturing through OnLocation to a network drive under a SAN?
I'm talking SAN, Storage Area Networking like Fibre or iSCSI, and not NAS, Network Attached Storage like some cheap ethernet box.
Why do I ask this? I recon that this may be the best forum to launch into some network storage issues when recording in a studio or at an event.

Any luck on this subject. I want to use a raid server to capture approx 20+ hrs of video for a dance competition with the ability to use the server to copy files and produce DVD's on site for my customers. Others in the industry use OnLocation but do not produce on site.

  • ABOUT TRACE

    hi,
has anyone used STKONTEXTTRACE (Context trace). Please explain me what is it and how to use it.
    Thanking you,
    Vinayak Deosthali.

    Hello Vinayak,
The description of the code lying uder the transaction is " *& This program activates the usertrace for this particular context.   *
*& Specify the desired traces and a tcode. After the transaction       *
*& returns the trace is deactivated. Of course the user needs the      *
*& appropriate privileges to start the desired transaction. "
So, this tranaction is similar to st04, st05 (all now under  1 roof )in the sense that it provides an analysis of the performance of the code, in terms of time that it spends in processing and in terms of database access etc.

  • How I can trace my lost I phone 5

    Hello
I have lost my I phone 5 is anyone know how to trace it as I tried it through
iCloud but it will only work when other person will use the Internet and I have so
Some important data in it so kindly help me out to either trace or block my phone.

The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords, especially your Apple ID/iCloud password NOW!
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, and running iOS 7.0, then phone cannot be re-activated or the passcode removed without knowing your Apple iD/Password. It will be nothing but a useless paperweight.
If not running iOS 7.0, the phone can be forced into recovery mode & restored.

  • Trace Messages

I am investigating issue with authenticating with WinRM (CredSSP) and I've followed the procedure described in this blog:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/jonjor/archive/2009/01/05/how-to-capture-a-winrm-trace.aspx
However, I do not get any meaningful information in the records, the only thing I can see is "No Format Information found"
    Stoimen

    Hi Stoimen,
Based on your description, I understand that you follow the method in
the article to capture a WinRM trace. However, it seems that don’t provide any helpful information.
Would you please let me know whether that both two methods in that article didn’t help you? Both just show
    "No Format Information found"?
Meanwhile, would you please let me confirm whether have repeated the process of
creating WinRM trace session for both client and server? When start the trace sessions, have you reproduced the issue which you want to
investigate? Just for confirmation, thanks for your understanding.
In addition, you can find the Windows Remote Management events were logged in Event Viewer. Please follow the
    path:
Application and Services Logs-> Microsoft-> Windows-> Windows Remote Management. Check if can find some related events.
If anything I misunderstand or any update, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,

  • Capturing 3CCD footage using single chip minidv camera

    Question:
Has anyone captured footage shot with a pro 3CCD camera using a less expensive single chip mini DV camera? I do a LOT more capturing than actual filming and would like to cut down on wear to my good camera. I'm thinking there should be no loss in quality since the info is there on the tape from when it was filmed, and the cheaper camera's single chip never comes into play anyway. Is this right?
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Gene

it could have no chip you're only using the camera as a vtr tho I'd wager the more expensive transports will hold up better. as long as the transport and electronics will play back the format you are shooting it'll work fine. take a test tape from your camera to best buy or whatever and make sure it'll play what you shoot

  • Any way to trace a stolen laptop?

I know the answer to this is probably no, but I was wondering if there is any way that anyone knows of to trace a stolen laptop?
I'm in the UK. I have the system disks, box (and therefore serial number). I also have the MAC address.
Its quite distinctive, as it has a few defects. Does anyone know of any noticeboards or anything?
    Thanks

Sorry, but it's almost impossible to trace a stolen laptop, particularly if you didn't pre-install one of the utility/service combinations such as LoJack (if even they help at all). Except in one singular incident reported a couple of months ago (it involved the Back To My Mac service and the iSight camera), it's not been possible to trace a computer, even with the MAC address, over the Internet, and I can't imagine that posting a notice on some public web site would be fruitful (and it might even open you up to other problems). About all you can do is report the theft to your local police and hope for a lucky break. And of course your homeowner's insurance if you have same.
    Good luck.
