Anyone else get the credit card processing is temporarily univalable?

I can't download any apps cause my visa won't connect to iTunes, this barley started happening it's worked fine before.

Finally resolved.  Another member posted the answer which was logging into iTunes and reset your payment account (in iTunes).  Wait ten to twenty minutes and my AppleTv was again functioning again.  So, thank you for the previous post.

I've tried to subscribe to iTunes Cloud for a couple of days now but receiving the message "credit card processing is temporarily unavailable".  Tried to contact support but they need an apple serial number, I'm accessing iTunes from my HP laptop so doesn't recognize the serial number.  How do I get Apple to sell me this subscription?

Judging by your nickname, are you located in county of credit card origin?

Credit card processing is temporarily unavailable. You may continue to browse the store. Please try to make your purchase later. Any One else having this Issue ?

I was having this exact issue when I was set up to use PayPal as my payment method. I fixed it by -
    1. going to my iTunes account and selecting None as my method of payment, then clicking Done
    2. confirming this on my account page - which then said Add (or Set up, I can't remember) a Credit Card
    3. on the Add a credit card page, I again set up the exact same PayPal account I had before.
    4. I was then taken to the PayPal website to confirm that I wanted to use my PayPal account for iTunes purchases, and finally
    5. I was taken back to my account page in iTunes, which looked exactly the same as before BUT...
The next time I tried it, my purchase went straight through! (And this was less than 5 minutes after I'd had the "Credit Card processing is temporarily unavailable" message.)
YMMV, but I guess a similar revalidation process would work for credit cards too.

  • Is anyone else getting the " itunes encountered a problem and needs to close " message on xp

is anyone else getting the " itunes encountered a problem and needs to close " message on windows XP

I did get a "server busy" message when I loaded quicktime, but I'm not sure if it is related or not since I've been seeing that over the last couple of days, I can't remember if it came before iTunes stopped working or not. That message reads "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'switch to' to activate the busy program and correct the problem." My options then are to choose switch to or retry. When I press "switch to" my Start menu opens, and nothing appears to happen when I select retry.
that's an odd sort of a message (or series of messages).
hmmmmm. let's try an experiment aimed at working out if there's a program interfering with the QuickTime (which is in turn causing grief with your iTunes).
try a selective startup using MSCONFIG, with just the itunes and QuickTime background processes enabled, as per the following document:
Using MSCONFIG to troubleshoot conflicts in Windows
does QT open without the strange message after the selective startup?
    does iTunes launch properly?

  • HT201303 Anyone else had their credit card details hacked from iTunes today?

Anyone else had their credit card details hacked from iTunes today?
My bank contacted me to check on unusual purchases following my iTunes purchases this morning. I have never had my credit card details hacked before and I do a lot of purchases online. Following me giving iTunes my credit card details someone made a purchase to Air Egypt and UAE. Fortunately my bank contacted me before more purchases were made.
I won't be giving my new credit card details to iTunes

Contact your Credit Card company immediately. They'll explain the charge or reverse it.
    Regards

  • "Credit Card Processing Is Temporarily Unavailable. Please Try Again Later".

    Hi guys.
I have been browsing for hours no with no avail to this problem I have been having.
I am trying to create a new account to use with the iTunes store - an account in my country, rather than using my US account to buy stuff from there.
My country (Bolivia) is new to the iTunes store, and as soon as I heard the store became available yesterday, I have been trying to register a new account. But everytime I get to the payment page and submit the info, I get the error "Credit Card Processing Is Temporarily Unavailable. Please Try Again Later".
Again, I have googled for this for hours with no avails. Common possible solutions were:
A lot of people mistyped the security code. But I have checked mine a thousand times, I'm completely certain I am getting it right, but I keep getting that message.
Some people mistyped the actual CC number. Another piece of info I retyped a couple of times so I'm sure I'm getting it right.
What are the chances the system is actually unavailable? A lot of people solved this problem and the issue wasn't related to a system being down at all. Could it be the fact my country is new to the iTunes store?
It's been like 6 hours since I tried to make the new account. That doesn't fit my definition of "Temporarily". I guess I will wait a day or two and see what happens, but in the meantime I would like to hear possible problems and/or solutions.
Oh, I almost forgot. If it matters, I am using an iTunes Beta on my MacBook Pro.

    Leonnears
I have the same problem, but being as you have had your account for 5 days by the time of this writing, I had mine for about a year. Recently, the security code showed up blank for the credit card I was using, and even when I used the correct security code, iTunes figured that it wasn't valid.
Thankfully, (go shopsafe!) it was easy to get another credit card for a dollar or two (I just want to update my free software for free...), yet this didn't work, for it again said that the security code was invalid.
Then, after a few tries, it said "Credit card processing is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
Judging by other Apple forums, when this sort of thing happens, it's a problem on Apple's side, rather than my computer.
I came to this conclusion when I came to a forum that had a bunch of different people complaining that they can't buy music on iTunes. However, that forum was dated in 2008.
If someone finds contradictory information, feel free to reply to my post and tell me how I, too, could fix this.
And in case it matters, I am using a MacBook Air with OS X 10.6.8 and have iTunes 10.4.

  • Anyone successfully using the credit card interface?

I have heard that this interface is not really a 'mature' product. Has anyone implemented it, and if so, would you mind providing some info about how you got there? Thanks in advance!

So my sister and I have our own separate iTunes accounts, and she has her set up with her credit card. She let me use her credit card on mine but it keeps saying the security code is invalid. Then the credit card company called about her credit card activity. Are you sure it's not impossible to use the same credit card on our different accounts?

  • "Credit card processing is temporarily unavailale. Please try again later."

Is anyone else getting this message?
I went in to my account earlier this evening to update my credit card for billing and got this message when I clicked "done."
It's been a few hours now and I'm still getting this message.
Apple's bugs, quirks, and down time on their many different services often makes me a bit nervous....

First off, I would temporarily disable any security software installed on your PC to ensure it isn't blocking portions of your iTunes Store traffic.
You can email iTunes Store support from this page:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
They might be able to review your account to ensure there aren't any problems there that might prevent this from working as it should.

  • Credit card processing is temporarily unavailable?

It was like this yesterday, too. Just trying to make an itunes store account

yes I've been having the same issues, I made one purchase last night, updated my apple tv and now i'm getting the unable to process credit card messages.
This is getting frustrating, and the appletv and macbook pro are going back to the store. I went round and round with support on my adc membership earlier this month and now I'm just frustrated with another apple issue.

  • How do I skip the credit card process on itunes? I click to get something for free, sign in, and then it asks for credit card information. Any have any ideas so I can skip that and go along with my process?

I really need help y'all cause I'm getting frustrateD!

When it asks you for your credit card, just go along with it until it asks you what type you have then just check off none.

  • Anyone else get the server encountered an error processing registration

Just got a new iMac out of the box to use facetime with grandchildren. Keep gtting "the server encountered an error processing registration" try again later....
    What gives?

    David,
Yes, I recall getting that message also, and was confused by it.  However, when I looked in my e-mail, i found a message from apple asking me to CONFIRM my e-mail address, which I did.  After that, the only thing I had to do was to enter the phone numbers or e-mail addresses to my account and everything worked like a charm.
As christelline said, you do need to set the time automatically, which is also a part of the imac setup process, as I recall.
I did find the Facetime setup to be a bit "shaky," because Apple does not walk you through it.  Stick with it because Facetime is a great tool -- my wife and I find that communicating with our kids and grandkids using FT is almost like having them in our home.
    Best of Luck, Wuz
