Anyone else have their movies deleted from their computer?

Somewhere between now and last week, my computer had suddenly deleted movies I downloaded/transfered to my iTunes. Most of the movies were Digital Copies from purchased Blu-Rays. I searched my entire computer looking for each individual movie, but came with nothing. I tried checking to see if iTunes would let me redownload movies, but movies is the only thing that doesn't seem to be redownloaded. I'm worried; because 26 of my movies have suddenly disappeared from my computer and there's nothing I can do to bring them back. I purchased my MacBook Pro around May and the movies worked just fine ever since. Is there anything anyone can do to help me bring these missing movies back??

Get them from the backup copy on your backup drive.

Also try deleting the printer from your printer Q system preferences, then reinstalling it (highlight the printer click the minus symbol, then click the plus symbol and add it again. Reboot, and try.

Did anyone else have a 'you must restart your computer' screen today?

I leave my imac on 24/7. This am, I switched from my wifes user profile to miine, checked my email, got done, closed mail, and was going to open my browser (firefox) and the screen dimmed (like before going to screen saver) and then a gray message box about 3" X 4" with the circular power icon image in light gray background came on in the center of the screen, saying "You must restart your computer-please hold down your power button until computer shuts down (paraphrased). Nothing was going to allow me to do anything else (no cursor movement with the mouse, esc did nothing)so I powered down, and let it restart. Seems ok, I just want to know if anyone else has ever seen or experienced this happening. What entity would facilitate this restart? Apple? My ISP? Some spyware?

OK....I used the 'maintenance' utility, and ran scripts, repaired permissions, etc. When my computer restarted, I went to my wifes profile, ran 'disk utility' to repair permissions on her profile. Then I opened her browser and cleared her data, ie search cache, website cache, everything except her logon data. When that was done, I went back to my profile, and opened the browser. I'm at that point now, and all seems to be well. But then it seemed well when this first occured. Any guesses as to why this happened or what might have caused it to happen? A program conflict? A visit to a data-mining webpage? I know that some will tell you (or me) that macs are supposedly immune to viral or malware attacks, but there also are those who will argue that it is impossible to protect any computer, even a mac, from all infections. So, part curiosity and part pessimism create a curiosity. Any input would help.

Does "Transfer" copy or move/delete from old computer?

When setup assistant transfers from old computer, can I still use the old computer as before - will it still have the applications and operating system? Reading the manual nor the website archive (thanks Pondini) are clear.

Today my iPad simply stopped recognizing the house network. I have an iPod Touch and iPhone4 that aren't having any problem with wifi.

First, try Airplane-Mode for 10 seconds. If this doesn't help, try resetting the network-configuration. This can be accomplished by heading to Settings --> General --> (at the very foot of the page) Reset --> Reset Network Settings. Then reboot iPad.
However, if all that didn't help, you can get to a near Apple Store, or, in case of functionality, there's still the guarantee.

I have problems with slow downloading movies from Apple TV menu. I'm going on 2 hours for one movie.

I was having the same problem. Trailers took forever to play and movies took 7 hours. I unplugged my cable modem and WAP/router and plugged them back in. This reset solved the problem for me. Everything's back to fast downloads.

I bought a Sandisk Connect Media Drive, downloaded the app from iTunes. Before iOS 8, movies played fine. After iOS upgrade I can no longer play movies downloaded from iTunes to the media drive. Anyone else have a similar issue?

I checked with SanDisk's own online support and they indicate that they have notified Apple of the issue.
According to SanDisk, the problem lies with Apple not having the iOS 8 version of the Safari browser having DRM decoding enabled that the Media Drive relies upon to decode and play iTunes DRM titles. Non DRM encoded videos will play in the browser.
DRM audio is not effected as this is handled by the native iOS music app.
As of the date of this post SanDisk have not been given a timeframe by Apple for this issue to be resolved.
I hope that Apple resolves this issue quickly as I have a large collection of DRM video titles on a 128Mb memory card installed in the Media Drive that I am unable to view.

Make sure you have checked off iCloud contacts in your Contacts app under Groups in upper left corner.

If you are positive there is a good Wi-Fi signal in the area of the iPad I would first reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't work, I would turn off your iPad and then restart your Wi-Fi router. Unplug the router for 30 seconds then plug it back in. Once the router had completed its restart process and established a link to the Internet then turn your iPad on. Make sure Settings > Wi-Fi> On.

Anyone else have their iPad hijacked? Didn't think it was possible, but I have video of my iPad typing, opening apps, and attempting purchases by itself. I turned off the wifi and it still kept going. Not sure if they were connected to Bluetooth or not because every time I tried to go into settings they would close the window. I ended up just shutting the whole thing down. Has anyone ever had anything like this happen to them?

Ghost typing is what you are seeing and I have seen some other people talking about it. You weren't hijacked, there is a problem with your iPad. Or this is the first "documented" case on an iDevice being hijacked.
Do you have a screen protector on the iPad? If so, does it need to be cleaned?

Thanks, yes, I have a problem. My Wifi shut down. Phone wont let me turn it back on, even thought I never executed a manuel effort to turn it off. Here's a screen shot. Notice no other text under the toggle advising me to about being near a network? It's like the phone recognizes the "antenna" has stopped working. I did perform a reset and several power off-on's. I have random songs that a have paid for but they just disappear, or cannot be downloaded and so on. Sometimes they are indexed wrongly, and can't be found because of that, no work around because also the search function of itunes has gotten totally unusable. Not much fun to be an apple user anymore. I once used to be a very loyal user. My first apple was a Macintosh SE and an image writer II.

HELP!! Does anyone else have their entire keyboard stop working with photoshop?

This varies for me but most of the time whenever I use Photoshop CC and CS6 my ENTIRE keyboard stops working. Not just the shortcuts but even in other apps too. The only keys that remain functional are the fn, control, option, shift, delete, all of the F keys, and command keys. I am not sure if this is due to me not having enough ram (I have 4 GB). Does anyone else have this problem and if so what did you do to fix it?

Issue only with Photoshop - no other applications.
I have tried a brand new machine and a brand new keyboard (replaced my main workstation recently), so I know for sure it's not an issue with any of my hardware. I also know for sure that it's not an issue belonging only to one OS version, as I had the same issue with win7pro and win8.1pro.
For me the issue is that ALL keyboard keys stop responding completely in Photoshop until I hit the Windows key or otherwise maximise/bring to focus any other application, such as desktop or Outlook etc. Then I immediately bring Photoshop CC back into focus and the keyboard works again. Then after a few moments/clicks/commands the keyboard dies again.
The issue is 100% local to Photoshop CC, is not related in any way to Wacom drivers (I don't have any installed and don't use a tablet), is not related only to one OS and is not hardware related, as far as I can tell. Once again, I've had these issues on-and-off across 2 different machines with different keyboards.
I'm wondering if it's related to Teamviewer, since TV creates focus issues with certain other applications/games etc. I will try with TV closed and see if the problem goes away.
All CC apps are up-to-date.

Anyone else have their cc hacked after purchasing an iPhone?

My husband and I bought iPhones about a month ago, each using our own credit cards to make the purchases. Now within two days of each other our credit cards were hacked. When it happened to me over the weekend, I didn't think much of it. But now that it's happened to him I'm suspicious. He rarely uses that card, so for both of us to have the cards we used to purchase our iPhones hacked makes me extra suspicious.
Anyone else have this problem?

Another thing to consider is Citi bank itself. Seriously, especially over the last five years or so, they have one of the worst credit card security records of any major bank.
Also, do you use those credit cards for any standing payments (cable bill, heat, electric, cell service, anything like that?). If so, contact them as well and ask about any recent security breaches - companies will often not inform customers of potential breaches until quite some time after the fact.
