Anyone Else Have Troubles With 11.1.2 (32) -- Slow? Freezing? ...

The only change I've made to my system recently is upgrading when the software upgrade asked me to. Now I find iTunes sorta wonky -- especially in the "Albums View" -- it lags, it freezes, that beachball spins, ...
I'm still running OSX 10.6.8 and am reluctant to do the recent OS upgrade given my iTunes.
Any thoughts?

I' ve been searching for other people that experienced this. I own a huge album collection but never experienced such freezing, delay, scroll problem. Itunes ran flawlwssly no matter how many albums are entered/processed. Even playback is problematic! If you choose to play an album you better have a lot of patience!! Entering an album in m4a format was the same as mp3: some seconds...Now it takes 2-3 minutes. AT LEAST! Meanwhile the playback bar freezes to the last minute, and got sick and tired of the beachball spins!!! Hope that our friends at Apple hear our conversation & will solve it SOON! Here are some troubleshooting steps that I could recommend when experiencing Home button issues. The article below is labeled for the iPhone, but the steps are the same for your iPad.
The Home button is slow to respond
If the Home button is slow to respond when exiting one application, try another application.
If the issue exists only in certain applications, try removing and reinstalling those applications. Get further assistance in installing and troubleshooting applications.
If the issue continues, Try turning iPhone off and then on again. If the iPhone will not restart, try resetting it.
If the issue is still happening, try to restore the iPhone.
Seek service is the issue is still occurring.
The Home button isn't working
Put the iPhone to sleep.
Wait a couple of seconds.
Press the Home button.
iPhone should wake up.
If iPhone does not wake up, then iPhone should be serviced.
If the issue persists after all the steps have been processed see the last section labeled issue not resolved.

Does anyone else have trouble with the new remote?

Is anyone else having any issues with the remote for the new MacBook Pro's? I can hit menu on the remote, then go to iphoto, it will let me go down, then simply quits. I just bought it in July so this is rather frustrating. If now one else is having trouble is there anything I can do? or should I just go back to the store to have them look at it?

Probably take it back to the store--if it's defective, you'll get a new one right away, and you can make sure it works while you're in the store.
Maybe I should take mine out of the package and check it out.

Does anyone else have trouble with IPhoto losing pictures after they've been edited?

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem, or if it's just me.
IPhoto has a nasty habit of losing my photos, usually after I've edited them. I look in both the IPhoto Trash and the desktop trash, but they aren't there. I can see them in IPhoto (and can even click on them to edit them again), but if I try to export them or attach them to an email, I get a message saying the file contains 0 kb.
Very frustrating! Especially since I'm being paid to do the photos.
Any suggestions or ideas?

Do a revert to original on a couple of those photos and try again to export or email. Do they export or email OK? As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

Does anyone else have trouble with SONY CDs?

Okay, the new Pioneer DVD is in -- and what a pleasure... it's been working great. Tonight, I was given a SONY CD that I needed info off of. It loaded fine - but it wouldn't eject.
I would try to eject it - and the icon would disappear - but it wouldn't eject. After manually removing it - the drive wouldn't respond to open/close...
Needed to reboot. And then I needed that same disk again - and the same problem occurred.
With the old drive (yeah, the original) I couldn't even write to SONY...
Have y'all had this problem as well?
I hope it didn't do any damage to my drive - fortunately it's reading a Memorex as I type....

This was resolved.
Don't remember how - but I don't have the problem anymore.

Nothing to do with iOS 5.1 and everything to do with problems in your phone. Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide.
Start with resetting the phone (no data loss): Press both the home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.

Yes, it happens to me all the time. I deleted an app because it froze the. Tried to redownloading it but it wouldn't let me ivd tried all of my cards and nothing works. Anyone else having trouble with Hard Candy Cases?

I ordered a Hard Candy Case back on 3/22. I subsequently received an e-mail from HCC stating that my case order was changed to the newer 'Kickstand' model. Fine. Just want my case. Now after 60 days of being on the market, I still don't have my case even though HCC debited my Paypal account on 3/22. I can't seem to get a response from them either.
Anyone else having trouble with HardCandy? I hope I'm an isolated case (sorry!), but I am curious if there is a trend.

Anyone else having trouble with their iPad dropping wifi about once a week since 6.0.1 update?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

You have to go into your Gmail account settings.
Then Security.
Then turn ON 2-Step Verification
Follow the instructions to link a cell phone to your google account. They will text you a secondary code and once you've entered that your 2-step verification will be set up.
Then you should have the option on the bottom of the page to add a device. Call it apple tv and then it will generate a secondary code specifically for your Apple TV.
On the Apple TV itself, ultimately I think you have to enter just the first part of your e-mail address (before the @gmail.com) as your Youtube login username.
Then you should enter your gmail account password.
Apple TV will tell you it is incorrect.
Then, retry and enter the long secondary password that google generated for the apple tv.
That should do it.

Is anyone else having trouble with bookmarks in Windows Safari 4?

Is anyone else having trouble with their bookmarks in the Windows version of Safari 4? The Bookmarks Bar imported when I upgraded from Safari 3.2.2. But the Bookmarks menu can't be seen when I click the icon that looks like an open book. The History & Bookmarks Menu present in cover flow (which by the way I love and have found very useful). But the Bookmarks Menu option remains blank. At first I thought it hadn't imported - but I've realised they have imported, just aren't displaying.
They are definately imported because the same Bookmarks Menu is still present on my iPhone through MobileMe synch. Also I can get to the bookmarked pages by clicking Alt-Bookmarks. All the bookmarked pages are there (along with being on my iPhone). So they've imported - they just don't display in Coverflow (or any view at all) when I click the open book icon.
Does anyone have any solutions please.

I just figured this problem out for myself with a friend]

go to MY COMPUTER

Documents and Settings
Your name
Application Data
Apple Computer
Safari Folder
Delete BOOKMARKS.PLIST
( Now I have to warn you this WILL DELETE your bookmarks from Safari so back them up before you do this )
NOW........
go back and IMPORT your bookmarks
take all your bookmarks from the "IMPORTED ON XX/XX/XXXX " folder and drop them into the BOOKMARKS MENU at the top ( not the folder just your bookmarks)
NOW DO NOT DELETE the Imported on xx/xx/xxxx folder
for some reason when you delete the IMPORTED ON XX/XX/XXXX folder.... It causes them to go missing under BOOKMARKS MENU
SO as long as you dont delete the IMPORTED ON xx/xx/xxxx folder they will stay in the BOOKMARKS MENU where you can manipulate them
ALSO... DO NOT DELETE the IMPORTED FROM INTERNET EXPLORER
or IMPORTED FROM NETSCAPE/ MOZILLA FOLDERS
that will also cause your bookmarks menu bookmarks to go missing too
I guess this is a temp. fix for now
