Anyone else having/had trouble with the 'this cable or accessory is not certified...' Messaging popping in continuously when you haven't got a cable plugged in?
"cable or accessory not certified" popping up when nothings connected to the iPhone?
I Have tried cleaning the port, got some lint out an I thought that would of helped but its doing it even more, I'd say every 10-20 seconds or so, it happens less when I actually plug it in though to my lightening to USB cable, it is charging really fast though, I just plugged it in then an it went from 20% battery to 37% in under 10 mins, I'm pretty sure if I unplugged it an started using it I'd probably lose it just have fast too, any other suggestions? Anyone else having WiFi problems with the IPod Touch 5th Generation?
I upgraded my old IPod Touch 3rd Generation to a 5th Generation yesterday. I've noticed however that for some reason the wi-fi connection on the 5th Generation drops off all of a sudden for no reason at all and I can't figure out why. Anyone else having similar problems? If so what did you do?
Does the iPod connect OK to other networks?
Does the iPod see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect OK?
Did the iPod connect before?
If only your network then it could be a problem with your network
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My wife preordered a white iPhone 4s for our anniversary and even though it is preloaded with the ios 5, i am a little disappointed. The battery doesn't seem to hold a charge well at all. I have had every other iphone except the 3gs and have never had such a poor battery life. I owned the iPhone 4 for a year, and already know all the tricks to hold on to battery life, I have adopted the habit of closing out any apps that weren't being used, my mail push notifications are set for hourly, wifi and bluetooth are turned off when they aren't needed. I also stay away from any car chargers, use only the apple brand supplied cables, and only charge when the phone is dead. I only would sync when the phone was about to die as well.
When I saw how fast I was burning through the battery, I turned off Siri, which is kind of the purpose of the new iPhone, and turned off the backing up to iCloud. I barely used my phone today and the battery kept ticking down. My wife, who has been stuck with an iPhone 3g for years, has been fascinated with my old iPhone 4 and has been browsing and playing games and her battery has been holding a better charge than my new phone. I even tried turning the phone off for an hour when it was at 18% and when I turned it back on, it was at 15%. My iPhone 2, which is only being used as a touch iPod now, still has better standby time than a brand new iPhone 4s.
To be honest, I am usually a heavy phone user. Throughout the day I will make and receive at least 50 calls, I browse and check websites daily and watch videos sometimes during my downtime. But this weekend, I haven't even had the chance to put this phone through the same abuse my other 3 iPhones have had to endure.
I just want to know if anyone else has this problem, or if I should just return this one.I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

Anyone else having application freezes with the latest Patch update for Version 5.1.1?
Having major issues with my Iphone Apps after latest patch. Is there anything I can do to get my iPhone applications to install? Everything seems frozen. I have done many system resets and nothing has worked---I'm getting very frustrated.

The shortcut button doesn't access the camera anymore although it is always present.
I'm having no such issue. What steps have you taken to troubleshoot thus far? Have you taken the basic troubleshooting steps recommended in the User Guide?

Im on my third one. i bought the first on the launch date and had to return it because the battery was not holding a charge (1 hour playtime) so i returned it and was given another one and just today my second one started skipping songs and turning itself off and a few hours after it started that all of the content became unplayable the album art also turned into little alternating red and green squares I tried hooking it up to my computer to try and erase the content and start from scratch but neither my pc or my itunes could recognize the ipod so i returned it and now have my third

Anyone else haveing a problem with appointments not syncing, duplicate appointments when syncing with Outlook? Noticed the problem a couple of days ago.
Also, noticed that my primary SMTP disappeared, and I had to re-establish to send e-mail.
Apple tech support was worthless on both issues.Hi I am also in the UK, but not with Tiscali and am having the exact same problems. I can also send with wifi, but not 3G. I have tried amending all sorts of settings, including those above and amending the smtp server to the settings for my provider, but all to no avail.
It is thoroughly frustrating, as I cannot send emails unless I have wifi access.
Any further suggestions would be very welcome. -
Has anyone had trouble with the LG 3 Cosmos when a call comes in; I am not able to hear from the caller, but, they can hear me? The volumn is turned up but I can't seem to resolve the issue? Thanks
Oh no, Robinbird18! This is not what we like to hear about your cell phone. It makes it pretty hard to have a conversation with someone when you can't hear them. If you make a phone call out are you able to have a conversation with someone without any issues? How long has this been going on? mid 2011 21.5 inch iMac with lion video=freeze, will not restart for 30-60 minutes , today it took 14 hours before power button would restart it , is anyone else having a long restart after this problem?
Look in Activity Monitor (Applications - Utilities - Activity Monitor) and see if you have any runaway processes using a lot of %CPU.
I would also strongly recommend running Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode. If it reports errors you can Google them or post them here. -

- address bar and search box are not resizing with browser window. the address bar and seach box set their size to the window when Safari is launched and remain that size.
- anytime i try to customize toolbar items disappear and i have to restart Safari to get them to appear.
- some 3rd party icons just remove themselves from the toolbar after a period of time
- when i drag a page from the tab bar to create it's own browser window the window disappears but is listed in the windows menu bar. when i select that window from the menu bar the window appears but i can't click on anything.
I've repaired permissions numerous times, reinstalled safari numerous times and restarted my machine numerous times and the issues all remain. i've never had any issues with Safari until now and 5.1 is looking like a huge mess.
besides the bugs above, has anyone had any luck with 1password working with Safari 5.1?ok, i narrowed most of my issues down to Web Snapper and Videobox by TastyApps. Removed both of those and now everything works better.
I went out to lunch and came back an hour later and magically ALL of my previous toolbar icons that were added to my previous version of Safari appeared. Very strange.
as for 1password, it wasn't working at all before when i posted. everytime i tried installing the extension via the app my, Safari would open a window and hang (never load). I just tried it again and it seems to now be working. -
Is anyone else having an issue with Muse 2014.2 Freezing/Crashing at launch? It worked perfectly up until tonight and nothing has changed on my computer. I'm running windows 8.1. I've tried logging in and out of CC, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Muse twice with no change. Please advise. Thanks!
