Anyone else having Snow Leopard Up-to-Date Program issue?

I entered my serial but the system couldn't find it. I just purchased a MBP 13.3". Anyone else having the same problem?

Hello Max:
I was unaware of that page as I have not purchased a computer recently. I have no clue why you are having a problem. At a guess, it may take Apple a bit of time to update the database. Why not mail or fax the form with your serial number and receipt?

  • Anyone else's Snow Leopard running slower than version 10.5?

My hard drive crashed a few weeks ago and I decided to have the Apple Store upgrade my operating system to 10.6.3 and I have found that it's slower than the previous version. Also, Adobe InDesign doesn't print from the new version.
Is anyone having these problems?? This could make me revert back to a PC

Well, yes, if it was a new HD and your old drive was dead, they would have had to do an install from scratch.
If the old drive was still running they would have done an upgrade & migrate unless you told them otherwise. Problem with migrating is often higher powered apps like CS3, Final Cut, Aperture, etc. don't run well if at all and you end up having to do an erase & install anyway.
What is the exact model iMac you have, and how much RAM? What HD did you buy?
CS3 is old at this point and my understanding is Adobe does not support it on Snow Leopard. Are you experiencing the slowness just with CS3 or with everything (say, Safari, Office, iTunes, etc?)

  • Snow Leopard up-to-date program not working online?

Just purchased a new MacBook Pro on 6/15. When I try to use the up-to-date program on www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate it lets me sign in but shows my shopping cart as empty. I can't get it to let me pre-order Snow Leopard for $9.95. Anyone else able to use this or not use this program?

I'm also experiencing this problem. It shows the login page, but when I log in, an empty shopping cart is shown instead of the pre-order form.
I'm using the Dutch Apple Store site, the link that I click is
    http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/nlstore?&partNumber=MC204N/A&authenticat e=entitle
When I look at the URL, I guess the problem is that the store does not contain a product with part number MC204N/A, the Snow Leopard pre-order. I guess I'll wait a couple of days and hope they'll fix it.

  • Is anyone else having a problem with a "no service" issue on the iPhone 5?

There are times my phone will go to "No Service" when the signal is low. I just got the iPhone 5. I did not have this problem with my 4. It doesn't say "searching..." it just automatically says "No Service" for a few seconds and then back to having bars. It comes and goes. I had my phone replaced at the Genius Bar and still have this problem. Is anyone else also having this problem? I hope it's just a software issue they will solve with an iOS update.

I have this problem all the time. when i get back home from a overseas trip (about 3-4 times a month) I have to turn airplane mode of and on a few times to get rid of the "No Service" message.

  • Question about Apple's Snow Leopard Up-to-Date program

I just pre-ordered the 10.6 upgrade from Amazon for my older mini; my sister just bought a new MacBook Pro without 10.6. Can I (of course I can, but should I?) use my copy of 10.6 to upgrade her MacBook so she doesn't have to order the upgrade kit? The terms of the program says she's entitled to the upgrade.

So if I understand you guys correctly: even if I bought a new Mac recently and qualify for the Up-to-Date program, I don't automatically get a license for Snow Leopard; the $9.95 for the upgrade kit is not just for shipping and handling but also a license fee? Correct?

  • Snow Leopard Up-to-date program

I want to buy Snow Leopard for my new MacBook Pro i got in July. My computer qualifies for the up-to-date program but I wasn't sure how to send a copy of my sales receipt to Apple to confirm my computer's qualification. Thanks for any help.
I bought my computer from the Apple Online Store.

They will have the record of your order

You need to enter your serial number.

  • Snow Leopard Up-to-date program: ordered SL Server instead of SL

Hi there. I bought a 13" MBP recently and filled the form to get Snow Leopard for 8,95€ when it's released. I've just found out that I ordered Snow Leopard Server and not regular Snow Leopard. So, how to solve this mistake? Who should I talk to?
    Thanks!

Nobody here. You need to call the Apple Store. Go to the Apple Store web site, there should be a phone number there somewhere.

  • About Mac OS X Snow Leopard Up-to-Date Program

    Hello,
I've read that I'm eligible of a $9.95 upgrade to Snow Leopard from the following link:
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate
The problem is that I bought my MBP when I was in USA, but I'm not there anymore.
Is there anyway to get benefit from this offer from where I'm (Saudi Arabia) since there is no Apple Retail Stores over here.
    Any clues?,, suggestions?
    Regards,

Sorry but that's a question only AppleCare can answer. Give them a call and ask to speak to someone in Customer Relations.

  • Is anyone else having trouble with Siri and date/time on iphone 5?

I have the iphone 5 on the sprint network and I have been having a lot of problems with the date and time and now Siri isn't responding. I make a request to Siri and it pops up on the screen but after a min or so of "thinking" she says she has incountered a problem. I have tried restarting the phone but nothing changes... Please tell me this is something I can fix...

I have not had this problem. I am new to Siri (with an iPhone 5 upgrade from an i4) and Siri has made a number of calls from my contacts. She asks, which John Doe (if I have more than one), which number (if I have more than one) and off we go.
Maybe, you have some setting wrong.

  • Spam has greatly increased in my inbox. It was not a problem before. How can this be improved?  Is anyone else having this problem?

Spam has greatly increased in my inbox.  It was not a problem before. How can this be improved?  Is anyone else having this problem?

What mail program are you using???  Who's your provider???
You can usually log in to your account and make changes to spam filtering, server side.
Client side you can add spam filtering software like SpamSieve.  Very effective.

  • Since I downloaded snow leopard I cannot view my movies in iphoto. Is anyone else having this problem?

Since I downloaded snow leopard, I cant view my movies in Iphoto. There is absolutely no response. (it does not default to anything else). Is anyone else having this problem? Suggestions please. My Iphoto says 7.1.5

i am sorry - i did do  all of that. But I am hitting a brick wall. The closing comment after I did so said install complete and followed up by saying :
You may have installed Mac OS X software that is older than your current version of Mac OS X, and may not work properly. To ensure the best experience please download and install the latest version of the Mac OS X Combo update from http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/ . You should do this even if you currently have the latest Mac OS X update installed.
BUT when I check to see what version of QT I have it says 10 (not 7) even though I clicked on 7. I think I need to uninstall everything and start again. Sadly, i dont even know how to do that!

  • Anyone else having major problems with Safari 5.1 on Snow Leopard?

is anyone else having major problems with Safari 5.1 on Snow Leopard?
    - address bar and search box are not resizing with browser window. the address bar and seach box set their size to the window when Safari is launched and remain that size.
    - anytime i try to customize toolbar items disappear and i have to restart Safari to get them to appear.
    - some 3rd party icons just remove themselves from the toolbar after a period of time
    - when i drag a page from the tab bar to create it's own browser window the window disappears but is listed in the windows menu bar. when i select that window from the menu bar the window appears but i can't click on anything.
I've repaired permissions numerous times, reinstalled safari numerous times and restarted my machine numerous times and the issues all remain. i've never had any issues with Safari until now and 5.1 is looking like a huge mess.
besides the bugs above, has anyone had any luck with 1password working with Safari 5.1?

ok, i narrowed most of my issues down to Web Snapper and Videobox by TastyApps. Removed both of those and now everything works better.
I went out to lunch and came back an hour later and magically ALL of my previous toolbar icons that were added to my previous version of Safari appeared. Very strange.
as for 1password, it wasn't working at all before when i posted. everytime i tried installing the extension via the app my, Safari would open a window and hang (never load). I just tried it again and it seems to now be working.

  • I'm using Big date theme but the numbers on the date is cut off on top.  I'm on iphoto 11 and OS 10.8.2.  anyone else having this issue??

OK try the following: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
    Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2:  In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
