Anyone else having they're notifications repeated?

So far I've noticed it happening with Instagram, Mailbox and Facebook. 90% of them come form IG, and only once has it happened with the others. It's only been going on for about 3 weeks. All my apps are up-to date. With Instagram, a single 'like' or 'comment' repeats once by itself, and then continues to repeat every time a user likes my photo. It can last for two minutes or four hours, it is very random. I changed my password, updated, did a reboot, but nothing stops the activity.
Also noticed new 'diagnostics and usage' logs, a Manually triggered stackshot via backboardd. Anyone have a idea what this relates to?
And ever since I changed my password, I started receiving 25+ 'spam' email a day, where three weeks ago, I was receiving none. I find it suspicious because they are sent close together, 10 one hour, 10 a few hours later. One I received 13 identical emails in 2 hours time. I only view my email on my iPod touch, because I having been able to sign in to my account in many months.
Help would be appreciated.

Some people have seen their aluminum uni-body discoloring due to body oils. Go figure.
Normally putting anything over the keys/aluminum will hurt heat disspation, but you may need to use keyboard covers.
Or save up $500/year for new keyboards.
Neither is supposed to be a sarcastic answer. Either one could end up being the solution.

If Image Capture doesn't work you could try the paid for app VueScan ( www.hamrick.com ). You can try it for free in demo mode to see if it works before purchase.

Judging by the number of other threads on this, yes many people have been having Yahoo mail issues with push, and it appears to be on Yahoo's side, not Apple's.

It's a system wide "preference"; fortunately, there is an option somewhere in your System Preferences (*not* Illustrator's) to switch this totally annoying, bug-infested, problem causing "new improved what-the-xxxx-were-they-thinking" new feature off.
I did that SO fast after installing Lion, I can't even recall where to change it. I NEVER ever want it back ON again, so no loss there.

Had same problem on my iPad2 with the original 8.0 release. I ended up wiping it completely clean and doing a reset and restore from backup. That seemed to fix my issues. I had the same problem when 7 came out and did the same wipe and restore to get everything working well.

Not just you. I too am having this issue including with a movie I just purchased.
If you follow mario49's advice they will eventually help you by posting the purchases to your account again (not actually fixing the current issue) but be VERY specific with them and be prepared to explain your issue about 4 times (I have taken to just copy and pasting) before they actually read what you told them and help out.
e-mail 1: Response was to explain the difference between a season pass and individual orders (even though I attached the season pass order number to the issue message).
e-mail 2: Reponse explained how to redownload episodes again (even though I had clearly stated it was a latest episode on a season pass).
e-mail 3: I may have yelled a little bit here.
e-mail 4: This one was a complaint about the pre-order that was charged but also now giving me the "you haven't paid for this" message. I attached the earlier complaint # to this one and got they same service person. This time he re-posted every episode from the above season pass to my account and my movie so I got the new episode I was looking for and about 5 others I was not.
Now I just have to go through all of this for my other 11 season passes that won't download either.

I'm having the same issues, except only one of my Exchange accounts took a dive after upgrading to iOS 5.1. My Gmail account (set up as Exchange) works flawlessly but my native Exchange account (work e-mail) stopped working after the update.
Post update to 5.1: (work Exchange account) I could view my inbox and view individuals emails in the inbox, but I was unable to send any emails. Mail started asking for my password after the update (for the affected Exchange account) but once entered, it failed to verify.
I completley removed the Exchange account and rentered all the account settings but again, failure to verify any information. I was hoping my password might have changed but it did not. Also, maybe the IT guy at the office (not very bright) changed some settings but the only difference is the new iOS update.
And while playing with the iPhone trying to make it work again, I noticed something really weird. Old emails (2-3 weeks) from multiple email accounts to include the inop Exchange account started showing up again on the pull down notification menu. I would clear these out of the notificaion menu but they always kept reapearing; very strange.

Is anyone else having trouble sending mail? I have a MobileMe subscription - not sure whether that is the problem. The Port assigned to my mail account on my iMac has a different number for the one recommended by Apple, but I hesitate to change it.

if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

So, this is a problem because when Siri attempts to send iMessages to those without iPhones it, of course, fails.
For example, if I say to Siri, "Tell my mother 'Hello.'" It will try to send an iMessage. My mother has an Android phone, so the iMessage just gets lost in cyberspace.
I use Siri quite often, this problem only occured about two hours ago.
Can anyone help me with this?

I have an an iPad3. Starting yesterday, when I try to attach a photo from my existing camera roll every photo is being rotated sideways. Is anyone else having this problem?

I noticed that google was the app that was using it a lot, but after I turned the feature off for google my phone started using the “traffic”, “frequent locations” and “cell network search”. When I turn the feature off for all of those things it’s no longer a problem. So just wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if anyone has a solution?

The "solution" is probably to increase your knowledge. You've done good things. Perhaps this article will educate you a bit more about location services.
Basically, they can be very useful, but can cause a lot of iPhone use. A major example is "Remind me to ... when I leave home."

Is Anyone Else Having Problems With 10.6.1 Freezing?

Is anyone else having problems with iTunes 10.6.1 freezing? On a perfectly-maintained Windows PC, 10.6.1 is suddenly freezing for no reason. This means that my iPhone or iPad can't be synchronized.

From my experience, involving three hours of troubleshooting using Apple's tutorials, without help from Apple:
1. Do the steps here to remove and reinstall all Apple software on your machine, "Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP," at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925.
2. If you care, they don't tell you or ask you to uninstall MobileMe in those steps.
3. After I did as they wrote to do, iTunes wouldn't recognize either my iPhone or iPad. On my own I found that Applie's software reinstallation failed to install the Apple Mobile Device Software Driver. So I followed the steps at, "iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows," which took me 25 minutes alone to find. See http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
Those steps solved everything and iTunes is now back to normal.
