Anyone else having trouble getting new version of Flash to work w. Safari?

I read on the TUAW.com site this AM that Adobe released a new version of Flash Player (8.0.24) that closes a security hole. Keeping a security hole around doesn't sound like a great idea so I went to update.
Well after updating Flash Player on my MBP I get a missing plugin warning with Safari. The new version works find on Safari on my old PB and also with FireFox on my MBP. So seems this is either a problem with the Universal Binary version of Safari or it's just a funky issue with my MBP.
Anyone else having this problem?

There's a note at the bottom (in the RSS feed at least) that this update isn't for Intel Mac's. Not sure where that leaves us in terms of the security hole tho! If you need to restore the Intel Flash plugin, search this forum and there are a few threads with solutions.. Cheers,

Is anyone else having trouble getting the imessage and facetime to activate after the IOS7 update?

I have updated to the IOS7....my imessage or facetime did not automatically activate....i have now tried for 2 days to activate both my imessage and facetime and I keep receiving Imessage activation error that reads could not sign in. I have a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.7.5, running iTunes 11.0.
When I select:
my iPhone 4s running iOS 6.0.1
I don't get an on this iPhone button to allow access to content on the phone.
3rd generation iPod touch running iOS 5.1.1
I get a on this iPod button that shows the music and play lists on the iPod.
3rd generation iPad running iOS 6.0.1
I get an on this ipad button to allow access to content on the iPad.
Does anyone know what is going on, have any ideas on what I can do, or do I need to provide any additional information?

I found the answer on another thread.
If you turn on the sidebar view in the view menu, you get access to the content on all devices.

Is anyone else having trouble getting iDisk to mount?

I HATE Leopard! I can't access any of my files, nothing is working like its supposed to and Apple is no help at all. My external hard drives won't boot now, and they did before I installed the latest security update. They weren't reliable and wouldn't stay connected but they were there and I could see them.
I'm so angry that Apple has sold us all beta ware.

If I opened a finder window to access my iDisk or my external drives nothing would happen.
All I would get would be a blank window.
The only time it came close to connecting to my iDisk was when I actually got an error message.
" Your iDisk is not available because connecting to the iDisk server failed (error code -5016)"
I'm so happy for you that Leopard works for you, I hope your happy with it.
I however have not had that luxury, and I have deadlines looming so I need an OS that will actually network two computers. So far Leopard can't do that. I need an OS that will allow me to access my external hard drives, again some thing Leopard can't seem to manage. I also need to be able to access my iDisk with out having to launch a web browser on a Windows machine to do it.

Anyone else having trouble connecting new MacBook Air to display?

I have tried connecting my new 11" macbook air to a 24" acer monitor and a 40" Samsung television and the screen on the MBA turns blue like it's about to connect but then comes back as if it failed to. Then it keeps trying.
I'm using the mini diplay port to DVI adapter to a DVI cable into the monitor.
I have also tired the mini diplsy port adapter into a DVI to HDMI adapter to see if it worked using HDMI,
Nothing.
I called Apple and they suggested I bring it into the store.
I'm running 10.7

Is anyone else having trouble getting creative cloud to update?

I get a message that creative cloud has an update and when I try to install it the installer runs, brings up the creative cloud window and crashes. I can't get creative cloud to open so I can download Premiere.

I can still launch applications, but for some reason the CreativeCloud app is hung on a network request.
I was able to force quit the Creative Cloud app, then relaunch it, and it is working.
Lightroom and Photoshop launch, but LR is hanging for about 20 seconds in the splash screen (when it normally does not).
So yes, there appears to be some sort of network/server issue with Creative Cloud right now.
But I can't find any errors listed in their status pages, so it may only be a slowdown due to a network issue outside the servers.

Is anyone else having trouble with KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS, mine no longer work after updating to iOS6.

For exapmle, in my shortcuts I have "idk" to change to "I don't know" whilst typing.

IDK if this will help, I turned documents off in icloud and they worked, but when I toggle or turn documents on....no luck. I read in a separate post to uninstall and then reinstall emoji.....I really don't want to delete and reenter all my shortcuts I have at least 10 for every letter. Has anyone tryed the emoji un/reinstall? I'm fine with the documents being off in icloud......for now. I hope this helps someone.

Is anyone else having trouble sending mail? I have a MobileMe subscription - not sure whether that is the problem. The Port assigned to my mail account on my iMac has a different number for the one recommended by Apple, but I hesitate to change it.

Is anyone else having trouble sending mail on an iMac running 10.6.8. I get a messsage that the server can't be accessed. Apple help suggests using a different port from the one that was originally set. I have a Mobile Me account. Any suggestions?

I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

Anyone else having trouble with Hard Candy Cases?

I ordered a Hard Candy Case back on 3/22. I subsequently received an e-mail from HCC stating that my case order was changed to the newer 'Kickstand' model. Fine. Just want my case. Now after 60 days of being on the market, I still don't have my case even though HCC debited my Paypal account on 3/22. I can't seem to get a response from them either.
Anyone else having trouble with HardCandy? I hope I'm an isolated case (sorry!), but I am curious if there is a trend.

After going away does it come back randomly too? if that is the case, maybe to do with trackpad sensing your gesture correctly?

Anyone else having trouble with their iPad dropping wifi about once a week since 6.0.1 update?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Is anyone else having trouble with bookmarks in Windows Safari 4?

Is anyone else having trouble with their bookmarks in the Windows version of Safari 4? The Bookmarks Bar imported when I upgraded from Safari 3.2.2. But the Bookmarks menu can't be seen when I click the icon that looks like an open book. The History & Bookmarks Menu present in cover flow (which by the way I love and have found very useful). But the Bookmarks Menu option remains blank. At first I thought it hadn't imported - but I've realised they have imported, just aren't displaying.
They are definately imported because the same Bookmarks Menu is still present on my iPhone through MobileMe synch. Also I can get to the bookmarked pages by clicking Alt-Bookmarks. All the bookmarked pages are there (along with being on my iPhone). So they've imported - they just don't display in Coverflow (or any view at all) when I click the open book icon.
Does anyone have any solutions please.

Ok I have a fix for that....
I just figured this problem out for myself with a friend]

CLOSE SAFARI
go to MY COMPUTER
C:
Documents and Settings
Your name
Application Data
Apple Computer
Safari Folder
Delete BOOKMARKS.PLIST
( Now I have to warn you this WILL DELETE your bookmarks from Safari so back them up before you do this )
NOW........
go back and IMPORT your bookmarks
take all your bookmarks from the "IMPORTED ON XX/XX/XXXX " folder and drop them into the BOOKMARKS MENU at the top ( not the folder just your bookmarks)
NOW DO NOT DELETE the Imported on xx/xx/xxxx folder
for some reason when you delete the IMPORTED ON XX/XX/XXXX folder.... It causes them to go missing under BOOKMARKS MENU
SO as long as you dont delete the IMPORTED ON xx/xx/xxxx folder they will stay in the BOOKMARKS MENU where you can manipulate them
ALSO... DO NOT DELETE the IMPORTED FROM INTERNET EXPLORER
or IMPORTED FROM NETSCAPE/ MOZILLA FOLDERS
that will also cause your bookmarks menu bookmarks to go missing too
I guess this is a temp. fix for now

For the updates you've tried logging out of your account by tapping on your id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app and then logging back in ?
And for the purchases by 'not letting me buy music' you mean ... ? If you are getting an error message then what does it say ?
