Anyone else having trouble playing podcasts with iOS 5?

Whenever I download a podcast from the iPad iTunes app, it shows in the music app, but will not play it. Anyone else have this problem, and figured out how to fix it?

I have always had this problem on my iPad 1. The only way to fix it is to download podcasts on iTunes, then sync them to the iPad. Not elegant, but it works.

Yes, a simple search of the forums would have revealed that some users are experiencing issues. Apple has acknowledged that a small percentage of users are experiencing problems and have announced they are working on a fix.
Personally I have not experienced issues.

I have a 27" Imac.i7 with mini displayport and MBP13 i5 with thunderbolt port. Some time ago I tried to connect my old MBP with miniDP to The 27"iMac I Failed so did the apple centre they refunded cable costs and said I'd be contacted by Cupertino. That was 9 months ago, now replaced MBP with 13 inch(**** I can use my iMac as display!). Does not work phoned Fast Lane very helpful guy called JIM emailed me some software/firmware update links. Still no display linking. One of the links was for a couple of updates for a TBp equiped 27" iMac mine is only MDp equiped. Failing to find any MDp updates in apple support. Anyone have any Ideas! My lad has a later 27"i5 he uses Xbox 360 no problem on his but it wont look at my MBP.
Beginning to feel like some of the kit that went with a fully loaded 5500 worked eventually. Computer and FM radio, Photography kit fine, video capture audio capture forget it. Too many crashes and resets made it impractical.

Anyone else having trouble posting Podcasts due to Timeout

I am attempted to post a new podcast the past two days. It tests, subscribes, and downloads fine. However, when posting I receive the timeout error.
I have searched through the other threads regarding this error, and have corrected the duration time in the XML File. However, still same issue. I have recreated a totally new rss file and named it differently than the first, for testing purposes.

I tried playing your .mov file, but it stalls in the browser window.
Recompile your podcast episode as an MP3, update your XML file to reflect the new file name, and repost to your server.

None of the messages I sent to my friends on Straight Talk will go through.
I've reset my phone and updating my roaming.
Is it something on their end?

That's a good question Lacilynn, and I'm sure we can figure this out. Did you recently port your service to us from StraightTalk? If so, it normally takes 36 hours for intercarrier messages to begin functioning. If not, are you receiving an error when sending them a message? Make sure to use the full 10 digit area code even if they have the same as yours. Let me know if you still need assistance.

Is anyone else experiencing trouble playing video in itunes? Video intermittenly pauses and also plays with not audio. Video used to play fine. This problem only started since I upgraded to version 7. I have not used itunes since then because I couldn't watch anything without experiencing these problems. Anyone else having trouble with their iPad dropping wifi about once a week since 6.0.1 update?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Anyone else having trouble with Hard Candy Cases?

I ordered a Hard Candy Case back on 3/22. I subsequently received an e-mail from HCC stating that my case order was changed to the newer 'Kickstand' model. Fine. Just want my case. Now after 60 days of being on the market, I still don't have my case even though HCC debited my Paypal account on 3/22. I can't seem to get a response from them either.
Anyone else having trouble with HardCandy? I hope I'm an isolated case (sorry!), but I am curious if there is a trend.

Yes, it happens to me all the time. I deleted an app because it froze the. Tried to redownloading it but it wouldn't let me ivd tried all of my cards and nothing works.
