Anyone Ever Experience This Problem????

The cursor keeps going up and down and side to side by itself. When I'm playing music, this cause the volume to frantically go high to low, low to high, etc. Is there any way of fixing this?? Many thanks!!

Had to work off safari to watch netflix via silverlight... tried uninstalling silverlight and reinstalling, but it appears the silverlight plug in will not work with firefox 4. anyone else experience this problem?

netflix support guided me through deinstall/reinstall, but that did not fix the problem. we determined silverlight is not firefox beta 4 friendly... anyone else have this problem? thanks.

We picked up a 500MHz iBook (Snow, dual USB) from a recycler because he showed us photos of it's good screen and thought the unit would be good for parts. We were really expecting a piece of junk but when we received the unit we were surprised that it's almost in mint condition.
We turned the unit on and here's what happens:
1. White background with Apple logo shows up, no spinner. Sits like this for about a minute.
2. Suddenly Apple logo is replaced by a rectangle that looks like it has random colors in it.
3. About 20 seconds later, the spinner shows up, and then the system boots.
We thought something was wrong with the boot disk. We've seen a lot of school systems and companies mess with these systems by replacing the Apple logo with one of their own....cute trick if they do it right....if they do it wrong they hose the system. We booted off of a Firewire disk w/Tiger on it and the unit ran fine. Ran AHT on the unit and it passed with flying colors. We decided someone must have messed up the hard disk so we would proceed with a complete repartitioning of the HD and then an install of Panther.
Did the complete re-install of Panther. Unit worked great!!1! Proceeded to download ALL the updates for the unit. Suddenly, the system starts acting flakey.It's dropping internet connections, and can't complete downloads. We reboot. NOW the original problem re-appears (i.e. wierd boot w/scrambled logo). We suspect the disk is erratic and on its way out. We re-attempt the complete installation...once again, it works fine AFTER we do a CD based OS install, and yet once again after attempting software updates problems are re-introduced.
We've done updates on many 500MHz iBooks and completed Panther online software updates without a single problem. There's one catch, and this is the only thing I can think of that's different with this particular system: THIS UNIT HAS A COMBINED DVD-ROM/CD-ROM reader on it...not a CDROM or CD R/W.
Anyone else ever see a problem like this before?

Congratulations on the mint condition iBook G3.
I would first try re-installing 10.3.9 Combo Update. Remember to Repair Dis Permissions in Applications > Utilites > Disk Utility before and after installing.
I suspect that the HDD is failing or failed. As you may know, the Verified S.M.A.R.T Status reading is not as accurate as the Failing or Failed reading. This computer was introduced in May 2001 so it is well past the 3 to 5 years average life of an internal HDD. Download and run SMART Utility - 2.0.2 and see what that tells you. If the computer boots via firewire that seems to indicate that it works fine. If the issue is in the Panther upgrades, the Combo upgrader should resolve that issue.
Please let us know how the above recommendations work, if you try them.

My Game Centre was disabled. I was advise to login to my Game Center to enable my achievements. But everythime I login in to my Game Center, it take ages for the loading to process and just hang there. Can some one help me to solve this issue?

If the problem persists, you'll probably have to make another apple id, it wont take off any games or music or apps or anything you've bought it will all stay there, i have two apple id's and i don't have a problem with anything.

I had this same problem, but it seems to have disappeared after I discovered that Bluetooth was on and turned it off (General menu in the Settings app).

Check to see if restrictions are enabled. Settings / General / Restrictions. If they are, you will need to enter the 4 digit code that was set when restrictions were turned on. Then check to see if App store and iTunes are disabled as a restriction.
If that is not the case, or if you have forgotten or do not know the passcode for restrictions, you will need to try:
1. Reset homescreen layout - see if they come back.
2. Restore to Factory settings - Try restoring from a backup afterwards. If the problem still exists, restore and set up as new.

I recently have been bombarded with phone calls from AT&T asking for a person whom I don't know. Turns out this person has my exact same phone number, but is using AT&T as the provider. How can this be? I had my number changed a few months ago, so maybe this number was someone else's. So what do I do? Change my number AGAIN? Or maybe the other person should change theirs.....

Typically a phone number is "aged" before it is assigned to a customer. This avoids customers from getting calls for previous customers.
Also no two customers, irrespective of the provider, can have the same telephone number at the same time. You and the other person can't have the same number active at the same time. If calls to the number end up ringing in your home/business, then it is your number.
I think you have a couple of options...
1- Live with it and inform the company calling that the person is no longer at the number.
2- Change your number and explain the reason for the change is due to unwanted calls.
3- If the calls are coming from one number, you may be able to have the number blocked so the calls do not get to you.

An Audio Instrument track with a send to a stereo bus is still heard when muted.
The send is definitely post fader but the sound is escaping to the bus. Even disabling the send has no effect.
Changing the send from post to pre and back again works . . . until you unmute and mute the track again.
"Reorganizing Memory" seemed to improve things a great deal, but it's still a bit erratic.
So if the song's corrupt, but I've already reorganized memory and it's still corrupt, do I just cry myself to sleep?

If something weird happens, and you know Logic pretty well, as it seems you do, but you and everybody else are baffled, there sure could be some kind of corruption. I sometimes resort (successfully) to random acts of superstition. Restarting, "Save As" then reopening that session. maybe copy the project and open that...

I cannot access iBooks on my ipad 2. When I tap the icon and it opens all I receive is a blank white screen. If I delete the iBooks app and reload it on my ipad, will I loose all my books,pdf's and manuals ?

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

You might find better results by going to Print, then Save as PDF. When you Save to PDF, you should be able to print the document from that menu.

Exactly how are you trying to open them (what menu command or button or mouse action or keyboard shortcut)?
And lastly, what version of Lightroom are you using?
