Anyone ever have their itunes just disappear? Icon is still on the dock but nothing happens when I click on it. Music is still on computer. Can anyone help?

Should I just reinstall itunes? If so will I just be able to transfer my music back into the program?

The icon in the dock is just a pointer (alias) to the application, not the application itself. If that pointer gets confused or broken the app won't open. Right click (control-click) the dock icon, select Options, then select Show in Finder. This should reveal the iTunes application in your Applications folder. Double click the actuall iTunes application and see if it opens. You could also open the Applications folder and see if iTunes is still there.

Open your Applications folder - find Safari in the applications, and double click on the icon in there. You may have a corrupt alias in the dock at the bottom. -

Nobody knows why because you have not provided sufficient information. Web site? Browser? How do you see your pay stubs online? Company web site? Unsecure?

supposedly you can download or play songs using the icloud download button, a cloud icon with a downward arrow inside. But nothing happens when I click or double click on it.
You have to have music in your iCloud account to do that...when you open the Music app on your iPad, for example, you can access all music from iCloud that you have already placed in the iCloud or associated with iCloud. That is not for downloading music you have not already purchased or downloaded.

After a HD crash, I have to reinstall Photoshop Element 12 and Premier Element 12. I still see the link in my purchases history but nothing happens when I click on the link. How can I get my softwares back?

Its a 5.3 GB file. It might takle a while to download.
When done, it may open automatically, but the file will be in your apps folder

I have iTunes on my old PC with Vista and it works fine. Now I need the newest version for my new PC, but iTunes does not seem to have kept up with Windows development. Do I need to turn off Norton? But the download window disappears like lightning! I have searched the PC for the file, but it can't find it. Help please!

Sorry for the trouble. I do not think your Norton product will block you from downloading the iTunes version.

I basically restored my iPod to start my music collection from scratch because I got a new PC.
I plugged the 32gb iPod touch into my PC and the USB connection sound went on to indicate that it is connected to the PC but the 'Connect To iTunes' graphic is on, even when it is connected to the PC and iTunes is open it doesn't show any devices connected. After a while the iPod shuts itself off, and when I turn it on again the same thing happens. Graphic. Not found in iTunes. Turns off. I think but I can't remember if I updated the iPod's operating system prior to the restore (this all happened 2 weeks ago).
I'm not sure of the model/generation of the iPod. I got it brand new for Christmas of 2009 in Australia.

Also include manually placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then try a restore
Then try DFU mode and restore.

Further, try another computer to help determine if yu have a compter or iPod problem. -
I block pop ups except for allowed sites, but on the allowed sites, the pop up windows don't appear unless I use Exposé, then when I click on the one in Exposé, it just returns to the open Firefox browser.

I don't suspect Malware yet, Id guess Disk corruption or failing Hard Drive with Files not found.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward. -
ITunes offers "complete my album" but nothing happens when I click on the button

Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall Facetime on Mac ? The present version simply doesn't work. It shows me no "Contacts'. Infact once I click Next after I login, nothing at all happens. The video works fine though, I can see ,myself. But I have used Facetime a couple of times in the past from this same MAC.

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

My play lists and songs on iTunes and on my iPhone won't play. They are light grey instead of black and nothing happens when I click on the songs. All of the songs were either from CD's or from iTunes that I purchased. I have home sharing turned on. This is a new issue. It used to work fine. I tried restarting my iPhone and syncing with iTunes. Neither worked. Please help!
Try delete those songs using iTunes by de-selecting and sync. After that mark those songs and sync again.
