Anyone experiencing safari loading at a snail's pace?

Starting today my macbook pro is running slow- half loading pages.  Any ideas for how to fix this. I updated my iphone today- not sure if that is related to the mac problem.

What operating system are you running?

  • Is anyone experiencing High loading times for iCal events using Outlook exchange

I am using an iPad2 and use the default iCal and another calendar app (HD Informant) connected Exchange and synched to Outlook. Recently it is taking over  45 seconds to a minute to load calendar events. When I go to swipe to a new week, it freezes' or at least takes another 45 seconds to move day to day, week to week or month to month.
    Is anyone experiencing similar issues?

categories are not supported at present. If you add a contact to your phone and sync, you will need to categorize in outlook.

  • Anyone  experienced data load for S001?

    Hi all,
Did anyone load data data to BW for generating S001 report in BW? NEED HELP, PLEASE.
    Thank you.
    kOALA

    Hi Koala,
If you need exactly S001 report then you can use in your R/3 2LIS_01_S001 datasource (RSA5 tcode). It'll be a LIS extraction.
If you need to use more modern Logistics Cockpit extraction then you have to compare which DS in LBWE is more suitable for you.
In RSA5 double click on a DS mentioned, then double click on extraction structure. You'll see the fields that are provided by this LIS DS.
Then in another session in LBWE under Logistics Application find DSs for Applications 11, 12 & 13. Click for Maintenance and you'll see fields and tables that are sources for the particular LO DS.
    Best regards,
    Eugene

  • Is anyone experiencing Safari lagging upon startup in Windows 7?

I consistantly will have Safari take at least 58 seconds to startup then another 10 to load the first page.  Is this normal?  I'm using Windows 7 and Safari 5.1.7.

I know Safari a little and 5.1 can come to its knees easily and repeatedly.
At first I thought it lasted longer if:
    disble java, plugins, javascript
run only in Private Browsing mode
    disable web cache
I'd like to see it launch with cache disabled and like firefox always start in Private mode.
    Plus site specific preferences
Still accepts ad and tracking cookies - must consider those to be "well you visited the site" so the site can set whatever it wants.
    I'll use Opera 11.50 instead.
I tried Windows "trobleshoot compatibility" it wants to set to run it in XP SP3 mode and at the end "incompatible application".
    Settings applied:
    XP SP2 mode
Disable Aero (iTunes will lose video/movie Window if the desktop is locked for UAC)
I've lost all borders of windows and tabs, freezes or locks up but no sign of  not responding even though I can't do anything - but I could close Windows and tabs from the Task bar.
Total PITA and waste of time as I investigate, remove and check for conflicts with Kaspersky and others.

Just a hunch ... are you using GLIMS?
If so, update GLIMS and everything will be okay.

Superb advice R&W!  My email sending block using TalkTalk started 2 months ago using Snow Leopard, continued when I upgraded to 10.8.2, and has been persistent on my wife's new iPad (IOS 6.1).  Implementing your wise words has fixed all that, and now enables me to call her on FaceTime — previously only she could call me.  Thank you so much; this will save hours of further fruitless searching and phoning.
Please remember that your email is now insecure, if you wish to have a secure connection SSL must be on and port 25 should be avoided.

hi! i'm having a problem with my safari as unnecessary new tabs keeps opening overtime i open some link! is anyone experiencing something like this !

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
    or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
    if it's not already checked.

I cannot access my Hotmail account with Safari on my MacBookAir but I can access it on my Mac/Safari and also from my PCs.  Has anyone experienced the same?  Does anyone know a fix for this?

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

  • Anyone having problems loading hotmail login page in Safari browser?

Started 2 days ago, well after phone was updated to iOS5 so I don't see a connection. Have restarted the phone with no change in behavior, any other ideas?
    Thanks,

I have the same problem. For my setup it has to do with a failure of Safari to interpret the Quicktime Plugin.webplugin which can be found in Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins. Safari loads the Quicktime plugins according to its own record of loaded plugins (Choose menuitem "Installed Plug-Ins" under the Help menu), but the plugin is clearly not functioning properly in Safari under the updated OS.
This problem started for me after upgrading to OS 10.4.5. It also is a problem with the Camino web browser which also attempts to use the same Quicktime plugins (there should be two in the plug-Ins folder) in order to display application/x-shockwave-flash or other video content.
Firefox, which does not rely on the Quicktime plugins in order to display video content, runs video content just fine under OS 10.4.5.
Some people have been able to correct this problem in earlier versions of the OS by placing the Quicktime plugins found in the Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder in another location, either the desktop or another folder, so that they don't load when Safari launches. Then after quitting Safari and relaunching the program they can play video because Safari is forced to fall back on other plugins in order to do this. If you do not have the required third party plugins, then you are out of luck.
This does not work for me in OS 10.4.5

  • D800 file compatibility:  Has anyone experienced problems with loading D800 files onto the iPad using the camer connector kit?  I have tried both RAW and JPEG using SDHC and CF cards and the iPad(3) doesnt recognise any of the files.

Has anyone experienced problems with downloading Nikon D800 files to the iPad3 using the camer connector kit?  I have tried .RAW and JPEG (of various sizes) on both SD and CF cards, but the iPad doesn't recognise the files.
I have seen various forums discussing Lightroom and PSE updates that are required to process .NEF files but I can't find anything on the iPad/camera connector issue.
I dont have any problem if I put the SD card straight into the SD slot in my iMac and Aperture will process the files fine, but I would really like to be able to download and view files on the move on the iPad.
    Any advice appreciated?
PS - saw something that suggested the iPad had a maximum file size of 16mb for photos, not sure if this is correct, but I have tried smaller JPEG files and they still aren't recognised.

If your camera supports both PTP and Mass Storage Device modes, it may be necessary to use both modes to import all media content.
If some files do not import as expected using one mode, try switching to the other mode and importing again.
Note: Some cameras may refer to PTP as Pictbridge or PTP/Pictbridge.

  • Problems with Safari Loading Sites and Photos

For the past week (Feb. 2015) I've experience problems with Safari loading websites on my 2009 20" iMac desktop. Running version OSX Lion 10.7.3  4 GB.   Intel Duo Core 2.66 GHz
Mac also will frequently not upload photos at websites like Yahoo News or Facebook.   It does this throughout the day.
So, I downloaded Chrome, thinking it would be a better browser if Safari is not functioning.  Chrome is just slightly better, and when it won't load a website I get the following error message from Chrome: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET.
I'm debating taking the Mac to the Apple store for diagnosis or repair today, but if anyone else is experiencing similar problems, could you please offer some solutions as to what is going on.
    Thank you.

Unless you have a good reason not to, you should update the OS to version 10.7.5.

  • Has anyone got Safari to work with Kerberos (SPNEGO) ?

Has anyone got Safari to with using Negotiate (SPNEGO with Kerberos) when the system is not bound to ActiveDirectory or Macs OpenDirectory?
I can load Firefox and it works fine, but Safari does not work. I keep hearing that Safari works out of the box, but its looks like its somehow tied to AD or Macs Opendirectory and its deployment of Kerberos.

I am having the same problem and checked out the Apple Discussions for a solution.
I too am meticulous with my addresses.
Seeing no solution I went back to testing.
    I have tried:
    From Shrewsbury
    To Telford
The result was a trip in the US taking 14 hours.
    Then I tried:
    From Shrewsbury UK
    To Telford UK
    This worked.
When on the "Get Directions" screen there is a "Globe" icon by the "Space" icon. Pressing this brings up "English (US)". Press again and you get "English (UK).
    Any ideas?
When I use the "Contacts" to get the Start and End fields the iPhone is bringing up the correct address but with "United States" at the end of the address.
    Again any ideas?
In my Address book I never use the "Country" field as all my contacts are in the UK. I wonder if this is the problem and the iPhone is defaulting to US in the absence of no "Country"?
    Help!

  • Did anyone notice: Safari completely ignores printer margins

    Hi,
I'm trying to print some labels through Safari. My printer driver works fine. All I have to do is adjust the printer margins in Safari.
I'm creating a new custom size and add the margin default values of my label printer (0,2 cm). I can save the settings without problems but neither the preview on the left nor the printed labels show any changes in the margins. Safari completely ignores custom margin settings and keeps it's default settings when printing.
I've tried all day googling for a solution, but there is none. My question: has anyone experienced the same issue? Is there any sort of bugfix? I'm sure it has nothing to do with my printer. I can create a PDF with the same margin problems...
    HELP PLEASE!

    Cheers,
this is how I tried so far:
    1) Open website
    2) CMD+P opens print dialogue
    3) Select custom paper size (in my case 2.9cm x 8.98 cm)
3a) Within the custom paper size dialogue I can select default margins for my printer or set my own (I tried both without difference)
    4) OK
    5) The preview on the left does NOT change the margins. Also the PDF preview and the printed result look exactly the same. The margins stay the same throughout.
    Here is a screenshot:

Maybe that helps!? I don't know what to do anymore... Does the margin adjustment work fine for you??
