Anyone familiar with Freeverse's Sound Studio application used with iTunes?

I have been using Freeverse Software's Sound Studio application for the last year, which allows me to record workshops I lead, in AAC format, and I've always been able to drag the files into iTunes and play or burn them. Since upgrading to Leopard (and upgrading their software to the newest Leopard-compatible version), when I try to drag a file into iTunes, it won't copy into the library. Freeverse says it isn't a problem with the software.
Anyone know why I might not be able to put an AAC file, recorded onto my MacBook Pro, into iTunes....and a workaround?

Check to be sure that the file suffix is correct ie: .m4a, .mp3 etc.
Can you 'add' to iTunes using the File menu?

What is a decent sound card to use with DJ Mixer Pro?

I'm having trouble finding a compatible external sound card to use with my Mac Mini. Specifically, I need one that supports surround sound to use with DJ Mixer Pro. I am currently unable to use the "Preview" function of the program during my sets to ensure proper blending from one track into another. I've gotten pretty good at working around it, but with the proper sound card I should be able to preview a track in the "rear" of the surround sound without disturbing the "front", which plays live to the crowd. Most information I can find on sound cards pertains to home theatre application, which I have no interest in. I also don't need anything too sophisticated as I use the program for local club performances instead of professional production. I would prefer something that connects through firewire to prevent any kind of delay, but most of these seem to be discontinued or expensive overkill, so I hope a USB 2.0 will suffice. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I sync my iPhone with my MacBook Pro.
I installed the 3.1.2 firmware update today with a PC laptop running Vista that I haven't synced my iPhone with. I made sure the Windows laptop was running the current iTunes version, and before connecting my iPhone, I disabled automatic syncing when any iPod or iPhone is connected which is done via iTunes preferences under the Devices tab.
I took a risk and didn't create a backup for my iPhone when prompted. The firmware update followed by installing the AT&T carrier update was done without a hitch.
This is risky without having a backup (which I could have done beforehand) and without having any of my iTunes content available on the PC if there was a problem installing the update.
Do the same at your own risk. The worst would be not having any iTunes content to transfer back to your iPhone in the event you needed to restore your iPhone with iTunes on a different computer but if you allow iTunes to create a backup for your iPhone in advance, at least you could restore your iPhone from your newly created iPhone backup in the event of a problem.

Sealing Violation with EJBs in WebSphere Studio Application Developer

I have several projects in WebSphere Studion Application Developer.
They are an Enterprise application project, an EJB Project, a Java project which has
common classes being used by both client and server and a Client Project. The enterprise application project
is referencing the EJB project and the Client project. The EJB project is referencing the Common project
and the Common project is referencing the EJB project. The client project is referencing the Common project.
The code I have in the projects is imported from the file system.
I am getting all the projects compiled. The build paths are fine. I have a server instance and configuration
for the enterprise project. I have specified classpath for the server instance.

To dig into the problem, I created a sample ejb project and added it to the same server configuration. When I server instance,
I got the sealing violation for my sample ejb also.
After that I created a new server configuration and added the Sample ejb project to the server configuration.
When I started the fresh server instance with this server configuration, the server was up without any sealing violation.
I know the concept of sealing violation. I have even solved the sealing violation in other examples.
But now here I don't have a control over RACServer.jar which I doubt might be sealed.
Any comments will be appreciated.

Using Visual Source Safe with Websphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD)
Installing Visual Source Safe Plug In
1.     Navigate to Netservb\data1\vol1\itdw\dev\new apps\vsswasplugin (Netservb should be the S: drive).
2.     Double click on setup.exe.
3.     Click OK on the initial message.
4.     Browse to the Eclipse home directory. It should be similar to: C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere Studio\eclipse. Click Next.
5.     The plug in should install.
Integrating with WSAD
A. Joining an Existing Visual Source Safe Project:
1.     Open WSAD.
2.     Create a project in WSAD.
3.     Right click on project and select Team/Share Project.
4.     From the Share Project screen, select VSS Configuration Wizard as the repository type and click Next.
5.     The SS.EXE path should be similar to: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Common\VSS\win32\SS.EXE.
6.     Enter username and password.
7.     The VSS directory should be Netservb\MIS-PC\VSS (Netservb should be the S: drive).
8.     Leave source directory blank
9.     Put Visual Source Safe project name in the Relative mount point entry.
10.     Click Finish.
11.     Right click on the WSAD project and select Team / Refresh.
B. Creating a New Project (doesn�t exist in Visual Source Safe)
1.     Open WSAD.
2.     Create a project in WSAD.
3.     Right click on project and select Team/Share Project.

How to use Google API for Visual Studio Application using Google Drive

I am creating an VB 2010 Form that will collect data and then automate sharing to select individuals. Right now I am storing the data in the Google Drive folder on the Desktop but some people that may be using this application may not have Google Drive downloaded
on their desktop so I would like to know if there is another way to add the data files (Excel files) to Google Drive. I would also like to have my application automatically share the files with select individuals and possibly publish onto Google+ or at
least create a notification on Google+ that a new file has been added to the Drive. Thanks in advance for ANY help that anyone can offer!

No Firewalls running no.. Well no software ones, just the hardware one in the DM602.
Incidentally I managed to find another DM602 user who said to me that the Modem / Router in 'Modem Only' mode works fine.. just using the Airport Express/Extreme set up as the router.
Will have to wait and see once I have bought the Airport Express as Modem Only mode without another Router caused me all kinds of confusion and left me unable to connect to the net or even to the Modem/Router directly when I was fiddling around with it.
But yeah, I agree that it's odd that Mac make everything else BUT the modem to connect to an ADSL line.. and then recommend rubbish 3rd party hardware that wont allow it's customers to use it's own well designed software..
Bit annoying.. you try and be a good Mac disciple and model consumer - Mac all the way, and still run into grief..

I have a serious issue with static (clicking sounds) when I use Netflix streaming along with any movies I rent via AppleTV, and yes I use a optical audio cord. Any suggestions?

Perhaps it's obvious to you, but what would I adjust in the midi settings? There's nothing obvious that speaks to this out of sync issue.
FYI, I just plugged my JBL creatures into the audio out (same physical jack as the digital out, though of course they use different technologies) and there is no sync problem with the audio played through them. Clearly it's an issue with the digital out, just wish I could figure out if it's my stereo or something in the computer. I have no other devices that accept a digital input, so can't swap the stereo out for anything else.

We have a new iPod Classic and would like some help in choosing "Import Settings" (under Peferences) when loading the iPod from the Mac. We want to be sure that we can maintain a constant sound level. Used with Bose sound dock. OS 10.6.8 iTunes 10.6.1.

SelectInputText With AutoSubmit, does not submit when used with LOV.

I am using ADF with ADFBC (Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3). I have a selectinputText (With AutoSubmit = true and immediate = true) component that links to a LOV dialog. When I enter values by hand and navigate out of SelectInputText, it submits the form and everything works well. But When I choose to use LOV, although its value is changed, it does not submit the form. I tried on Return Listener to set its value with no avail. I tried field.setSubmittedValue(null) and field.setValue, field.resetValue, But I couldn't get the same behaviour when I enter values by hand. So my problem is When return from LOV selectinputText does not submit the form. How can I have the form submitted when returned from LOV? Any help is appreciated.

Yes we have added the client certificate file (.pfx) in the Firefox browser Certificate manager / Store. It's also showing the certificate in the View Certificate window. We could not resolve it yet.

Why Itune7 tied up with MaxOsX ( 10.5.8) while using with Iphone5

I have a macbook 10.5.8 which has Itune 10.6.3. It perfectly works with Iphone4. I upgraded to Iphone5 and It does not work with Itune 10.6.3 and asking for Itune 10.7. Itune 10.7 needs your mac OsX to upgrade.
Why should I upgrade my OS for Itune 10.7. It should work. Apple is looser with so many complains about Iphone5.
I am going to return Iphone5 if I don't get this solution.

Well since you seem to know more than the apple iOS and Mac OSX writers then why don't you go work for them? Sorry but apparently some of the features in itunes 10.7 are not compatible with OSX 10.5.8 so that is why you need to upgrade. Go ahead and return the phone. We as users here really don't care. You do know you don't need to connect it to the computer to use it but I guess you are so smart saying it should work with yoru OSX.
Sorry to be so sarcastic but people like you really don't have a clue what they are talking about and you just come here ranting about the iphone. It was clearly stated in the tech specs that you needed 10.6.8 on your Mac and iTunes 10.7. It is funny because Windows 98 or 95 users can't use the iphone 5 either so I guess it should just work with them too.

How to stop specific query attached with other query in same process using With method

Would it be possible to stop one query out of two queries attached to single process...because i see it is returning one IDisposable inteface...if i call dispose() method...two queries are stopped/killed...
So how to stop specific query which is combined with other queries in a same process at runtime i.e., attach or detach kind of thing?

Yes, the overloading of the term "Process" can be confusing. In SI, depending on your edition of StreamInsight, a process can run on one or more threads from a pool of threads and are scheduled together. Don't think of a process necessarily as a single
thread or multiple processes as a method of multi-threading.
As for a limit on the number of queries, there isn't a hard limit that I'm aware of. However, there will be a practical limit that will vary based on the complexity of the query, the event rate and your hardware (# of cores). If you are using Standard Edition,
this limit is much smaller as you only have a single scheduler thread. With Premium Edition, you have a scheduler thread for each core on the machine so you can get higher throughput and lower latency. But if you have, say, 4 cores on the machine (don't count
hyperthreaded cores, just real cores), 100 queries and a target throughput of 100K events/second, you'll likely have some problems. At 1K events/sec, you'd likely be fine though. With 32 cores and Premium Edition, you'd probably be OK with 100K events/sec.
So ... like I said, it depends.
