I'm running 10.6.8.
Try turning down the audio input on your internal mic.
Apple system preferences > select Sound > select input > turn down the input volume to around 25% for your internal mic.

You can do both, whatever is more convenient to you. As long as VZW gets its hands on the old device you will be good to go. Replacements under the warranrty require the user to turn in the old device to VZW. If your old device is not returned then you will be charged a fee for an entirely new device. Purchasing a tracking number for a shipment of this kind would be a good idea if you choose to send it in. Otherwise dropping it off at a store is the safest route you can take.
I would suggest contacting VZW phone support on this one and running through your options. The VZW phone rep can coordinate a delivery to your local VZW store if they do not already have one in stock. You can also turn in the old device in person to rule out any non-returned device fees. -

I always have to restart my iPhone to have it work.
It's ridiculous to always restart my phone.

The amp effects are way too noisy. It's a show stopper. Other apps (ampkit, etc) are quiet.
Apples answer to use noise gate is a band aide over a software problem.

iPad 1 iOS 5.1.1, GB 1.2.1You should be able to simply sync with iTunes again in order to reload all of you apps and media. That is why iTunes prompted you to transfer the purchases. You may have to select all of the content again when you click on each tab in the iTunes window on the right, but the content should be in your iTunes library.
You should also be able to restore from the backup that iTunes created before the update took place in order to restore your app data. When the iPad is connected to your computer and with iTunes running, right click on the iPad on the left side and select "Restore From Backup". A window will popup with a drop down list of all of the available backups for the device. Select the one that you want to use and restore from it. -

The Twain.Plugin conflicted with bad scanner drivers made by scanner manufacturers and caused too many problems so it is not installed by default. Its in the goodies folder.
But I have to ask. Why tie up a $1000 application to use a $100 scanner? Use the scanner as a stand alone with the software that came with the scanner or use VueScan that way you can keep working while you are scanning. BTW you know that you are using the scanner software when you scan through photoshop right. Photoshop has no scanning capabilities built in. -
I reply to an email on my iPad. When I view the same email on the PC in MS outlook there is no indication that I have replied to it.
