Anyone find any good holsters for the iPhone?

Cause I need one.
Garrett, Texas

I bought one of the belt clip cases (and the glue came apart almost causing me to almost lose my phone) but took it back and exhanged it for the Belkin Slim-Fit case.
That case is nice. It covers/protects the screen while in the case and the belt clip, though not locking, is REALLY tight so you won't lose you phone. You can't easily pull it off your belt... a good thing.
Perfect. http://www.belkin.com/ipod/iphone/
I think the cases that show off the iphone while you wear it are the most dangerous when it comes to possible screen damage and loss.
If you're looking to be envied by people in elevators then the slim-fit case is not for you!

Is there any quality App for the iPhone 4S similar to Google Wallet or does Apple now support Google Wallet?  thanks

    SOLVED!!!!!
    This is the app:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dictionary.appender/id650562573?mt=8
I emailed the maker of the app and he said to just follow these instructions:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4094
File share the .dictionary file to your ipad and then add it from the list of addable languages.  It took a minute for it to show up on my ipad but it DID work.  It is working with iBooks.
    Happy reading.
Thanks for the help and suggestions.

  • Are there any nice downloads for the Iphone

And if yes where do i go to download them?

There are no downloads available for the iPhone as of yet. Come February there will be an SDK kit which will allow for 3rd party iPhone software.
In the mean time you can use Web 2.0 apps via Safari. This is the site I use to find them:

  • Is there any prepaid plans for the iPhone 5s?

I was wondering if there were any prepaid plans for the 5s.

I tried to live chat with the carriers up but for almost everyone of them I had to have an account so that didn't work out too well.

  • Can Anyone Recommend Any Good Tutorials For A Beginner?

    Hi,
I just purchased Pro Logic 9 and was wondering if anyone knows of any good lessons/tutorials to help a first time user of the Pro Logic series. Im excited to get into this program and record but it is so powerful that it is a bit overwhelming. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

    I agree with JG99.
    +1 macprovideo
I've seen both the lynda and macprovideo logic training. Don't get me wrong the Logic training at lynda is ok for the basics. The macprovideo ones are excellent and go much further. So I could learn in depth how all the instruments, like the EXS24 sampler, Ultrabeat drum machine, synths and plugins work and how to use them. There are proper whole tutorials dedicated to mixing and mastering. For me and my studio buddies macprovideo for final cut, logic and now the photoshop titles has saved us countless hours and a lot of hair!

The macprovideo iPad and iPhone apps rock too!

  • Anyone got any good AVCHD FOR DVD Presets they can share for AME CC Latest Version when exporting from Premiere Pro CC Latest Version?

Just wondering if anyone has for download or can share some templates or settings that I can use to create a One Stop Encode that will suit both AVCHD HD DVD Disc and be good as a Computer MP4 File for PC and Android Mobile Playback and maybe even good enough for Full Bluray Mastering.
Currently I am using mostly HDV 50i Material with a bit of 1080 30p and Mobile phone type MP4 files thrown in.
I typically Encode to for DVD SD and HD BD. However I would like to be able to take advantage of putting some of the short HD Video to AVCHD DVD-R Discs.
I understand that the maximum bit rate is gonna be 18mbs? for AVCHD on DVD but am unsure what Profile settings I need to be compliant and as I say if create a good one MP4 that will be good for all formats
whether it be AVCHD DVD, Blu-ray Disc and good for YouTube uploading with possibility of compatibility with some of the Android Mobile Phones and Tablets.
    Thanks in Advance
    Phil

Here is the solution:  Slow down. Give your project some love. Smell the roses.
Agreed about the roses but alas my next project always calls. Actually, I think what happens is I give each project SO much love that when it comes to exporting, I've run out of time.

Then it would not be a default...it would be an option and you already have that option.
Semantics aside, I would love to be able to have it at least default to whatever option was last chosen. Or, perhaps I shouldn't use the word default again...I'd love it to simply remember my preferred setting. That's all.

  • Is there going to be any major updates for the iPhone 5c

It's really annoying me because I was goin to get the iPhone 5s but I chose the 5c and there haven't been many updates to focus on the 5c but mostly for the 5c there should be a better layout like the 5s has a different. I know you people might want to read this or I might not ever be even recognised

What exactly are you talking about? iOS 7.1 is the same on a 5s as a 5c (with the exception of hardware specific functionality such as touch ID). The "layouts" are the same.

  • Am I a good candidate for the iPhone?

In April, I will be out of contract with Sprint. I currently have a Palm Centro and I use the **** out of certain features. The only thing I'm not loving about the iPhone is the lack of hard keyboard, but I've played with the iPhone enough to know that it won't be a huge problem. The important things to me are:
*Internet Radio (I use Pocket Tunes Deluxe on my Centro)
    *Calender
*Alarm Clock (I need at least 3 alarms)
    *Memo
*A built in phone number/address/reverse lookup app (like TryDA for palm)
    *A weather/traffic/theater showtimes, etc. app
*Push email from Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.
I know I can do some of these things in Safari, but having a shortcut is great. I've become spoiled to how customized my Centro is for ME, and I'd just like to know I'll be getting the same out of the iPhone. Also, how fast are 3G speeds compared with EDGE speeds? I've become spoiled to how fast EV-DO is on Sprint and ATT's coverage map shows my house in an EDGE location. If it's too slow, I'm just going to hold out until ATT has a bigger 3G footprint.

Here are the answers to your questions:
1-There are plenty of internet radio apps in the appstore and they are all free (that I know of, I currently have 5 different ones downloaded)
2-There is a calendar on the iPhone and you can also sync it with MobileME (Apple's internet program that will sync data between your computer, phone, internet) and Outlook.
3-I don't know what the max cap on Alarms are, but I've set 6 alarms for a day at one point.
4-There is a notepad application (plus many more in the appstore)
5-There are apps available from the appstore that will allow you to search contacts, etc.
6-There is a default weather app that is included in the iPhone, and there are more available in the appstore. I believe there are also traffic apps as well. There are apps for movie theaters and all the info you'll need.
7-There is push email from Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, Exchange Server (2003 and higher), and you can put in others, but it depends on whether they will support them or not. I do know that for Hotmail you have to purchase an app from the appstore which is $9.99.
8-You can create shortcuts for specific webpages that will be on your "desktop" of the iphone.
9-The 3G speeds are 3 times faster or more than Edge speeds. I switch between using Edge and 3G because of coverage (*You have to make sure that 3G is in your area otherwise you'll only have access to Edge*). You can check to see AT&T's 3G coverage area by clicking the link below, you'll see the View 3G/Mobile Broadband coverage link at the bottom right.
    http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/
Also, the iPhone doesn't have MMS, so you have to use the email as a workaround. People can send the pictures, videos, sounds, etc to your email address from their phone, and you can send pictures through email to their phone as an MMS message.

  • Any good visualizers for the iPad that work with iTunes?

I have long wanted to hear my iTunes library through my home cinema system and watch the iTunes visualizer at the same time. Current Macs support mirroring on a TV via Apple TV, but mine are too old. I thought I could get around this with an iPad, but iTunes on the iPad does not feature a visualizer, so I'm looking at third party apps.
I'm not too impressed with the App store search facilities though - it doens't seem to find a lot of things I've been told are on there. The Apple store I visited advised me to go this route, but Gravilocity and Light Beams - two I've been told about - don't show up in the searches.
What I need is a good visualizer that I can run as well as iTunes (not as part of it) so that I can mirror this via Apple TV. I am working on the assumption that an iPad can play iTunes content, and allow you to open another software item on top of it? Sorry if that sounds dumb, but I've never used one.
I'm sure there's probably something out there, but thus far I haven't found it.
At present, what do you see on Apple TV when you play anything from iTunes? I understand front row has gone.
If anyone can give me a few pointers to solve this puzzle, I would be most grateful.
    Many thanks in advance.

Wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it. Apple has a distinct preference for everything going through iTunes.
You can look into word processor programs like Documents to Go, which have wifi syncing outside of iTunes, or other online services like Dropbox or others that allow you to upload and download documents, syncing them without going through iTunes.

  • How can i make a suggestion on a good update for the iphone

Hi I am Michael Hendrickson a third gen iphone holder.  I receintly thought of an idea regarding the "notes" app. Myself and everyone I know uses this app mainly for lists, I feel that it would be in our best intersts to be able to swipe with the finger and cross the item off (with a line) and/or completely erase the item from the list. I hope this helps future and current iphone users, please let me know if this helps.
    Thank you,

  • Anyone find a good substitute for macskinz?

With my 60GB ipod photo I had a case from macskinz - it was sturdy, gave protection, and was unique. I actually bought three different cases from them since I was so impressed with their products. I've since upgraded to a 5G 80GB and the macskinz website has been down for months with, apparently, little chance of it coming back.
I was just wondering if any previous macskinz users have found an equally unique and sturdy case for their new ipod. I've browsed the Internet for weeks (as I have time at work) and really found nothing comparable.

BTW, I should have added that I've seen a lot of artist series ipod covers that are actually stickers or are cases that block usability of the ipod and/or require removal of the case to actually do anything. I'm looking for something similar to macskinz products - a plastic shell that is UNIQUE (not one of the thousands of "cloned" cases out there in a plain color or something that's available on every ipod case website out there - I want something different). Thanks.

  • Are there any docking stations for the iPhone 5?

Bose, Phillips, Sony...don't seem to make units with the lightning connector.

You have to buy "Lightning to 30 pin adapter" so iPhone 5 can fit on docking stations that works with older versions of iPhone, available from online Apple Store for $29. Maybe can get it from other places like WalMart or Amazon, etc.

  • Anyone have any good Letterhead for a lawyers office?  Marble columns ect..

Any lawyer out there who also used pages please share a nice letterhead with me.

    Sounds tacky
Lawyers letterheads are usually restrained, classical layout using serif faces in very simple designs.
Unless of course you are the Blue Haired Lawyer from the Simpsons.

There are also excellent commercial sites.

  • Anyone recommend a good skin for the touch?

I am going to try and pic up 1 at macworld today. I am looking for something that works well and does not add to much bulk to the device.
    thanks

I am very pleased with the ClearTouch Crystal skin. It was easy to apply, the bubbles were simple to eliminate and it can be washed and reapplied.
