Anyone got Kyocera FS-C5015N Printer working ok with OS 10.5?

Just had my HP2600 colour laser jam up hopelessly immediately after changing the toner (of course!). Not user servicable so I am inclined to bin it and switch to a Kyocera which we've been using very successfully at work. The one I have in mind is the FS-C5015N which plugs into a LAN.
Only thing is, their documentation is almost silent on OSX compatibility. There is some sort of combined package available from their website, but I have tried downloading it and then prodding print centre to look at all installed drivers - and it does not show up. So I am a bit suspicious as to whether it works ok with Macs. Anyone able to tell me all is well in fact?

Anyone got an HP 1022nw printer working with a Netgear DGN2000 router?

I recently changed my router In readiness for the arrival of my new MBP.
Now I can't print wirelessly on my HP printer (1022nw) from any machines on the network, irrespective of whether security (eg. WAP) is set up, or it's left open and unprotected.

But now I'm on the new MBP full-time, I wondered if anyone here has had any experience of the same combination > Netgear DGN2000 + HP 1022nw. It can't be that unusual a pairing.
None of my machines (including 2 iBooks with Tiger + 2 Macbooks with Leopard) can print wirelessly - but all of them did on the previous router - the old Netgear DG834G.
Feedback of any sort would be much appreciated - if you have any positive ideas/solutions, even better!

yep,
there are lots of ways to do this in logic. straight off the top of my head (so it won't necessarrily be the best way)
set your loops up in individual exs insts
transform midi note to controller 7 with a trasnformer in environment, mapped note to midi channel.
now when you hit the right key, it will turn the note into controller message to open the volume on the exs instrument with the right midi channel.
you will need a 'master' note to turn on your loops in the exs inistruments. obviously this needs to be connected outside of the transform to midi channel.
if you need to more than 16 loops, you can put a transformer before 'notes to controller 7' to split the messages by their key range. sounds complicated but is really easy, no harder in fact than programming VCR.
you will need a master instrument to run all this from in arrange. i would have used a single channel midi instrument in environemnt new>instrument.
my method will work but there maybe a way to set everything up in an exs instance, but i not sure how you would do that so it didn't retrigger rather than open up the volume on the part of the loop you want.
my way will work though.

I have hardly any experience with HP printers but since your posting has not been replied to yet I thought I'd offer some assistance.
With the printer status and ink levels working, it shows that you have a connection to the printer. So I would look at the issue being with the protocol being used for the print queue on the Mac.
Since you have XP and Vista working, I would check the printer queue configuration on either box. In XP, go to the Properties and select Ports. Click the Configure Port tab to view the connection. If you are using RAW, then this is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket on OS X. So if you are not sure what protocol was used before I would create another printer queue, this time selecting IP > HP Jetdirect-Socket. Then enter your IP address and select the K5400dn from the Print Using menu.
If this still fails to print then please reply. There may be limitations with adding the HP driver this way that I am not aware of. There may also be other driver options you can look at, such as HPIJS. If Greg Sahli reads this posting he has expert knowledge on this matter and will be able to offer some guidance.

There's a new driver bundle for OSX 10.6 that you might need to install, the HP link seems to be failing at the moment but there's a version of it here: HP_Installer_Scanjet_v2.4.3_Ph4.dmg

Has ANYONE got a 'faulty' superdrive to work without replacing it?

There are many tales of people here with dodgy sauperdrives. Now I have one in a 2 year old eMac. So before I spend money replacing the superdrive, has anyone got their's going by way of software or cleaning or dancing around their Mac chanting to the sky?

Anyone got Machine 1.5 to work with Logic

Hey all,
I've got Maschine loaded as an AU unit and it works in so far as I can hear sounds and play using Maschine. However, Logic doesn't record anything or remember anything about the state of Maschine, so it's not saving any midi or audio info.
Has anyone got Maschine working in the same way as the Ultrabeat drum sequencer? So I can create patterns on the Maschine, then trigger them via Maschine while I'm recording.
Failing that, has anyone got Maschine to actually record anything in Logic?

I can drag and drop patterns, but it's unclear whether Logic then plays that pattern or simply triggers Maschine to start playing.
I can't get Maschine to synchronise its midi as in the 'Record Events Directly into DAW' section. This might be because I can't set it up to both send and receive midi to/from Maschine. Any idea how this is done?

Anyone got 8.1.6 to work on Slackware 7?

then will be able to get through the installation.
Afterward, you may encounter problem on using dbstart to startup you db, it is due to the script is not able to capture the version number of the installed oracle.
you may just edit the create another script by copying the origin dbstart, and add a statement, VERSION="8.1", near somewhere STATUS=1. Hopefully, you can have this up and running by these few tips.

further, i go check to ABAP Short dump, and found the error analysis
A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLSFES " raised the exception
condition "CONTROL_FLUSH_ERROR".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior program
in the hierarchy, processing was terminated.

Anyone has 'Yourlink'?? Nothing works here with me, really desperate, need HELP, please!

Hi there, I have wireless internet through 'Yourlink.ca'. The cable comes from the roof, goes through a modem and gets plugged into my computer.
I tried everything with my Linksys router, every connection option, a really nice and IT guy helped me for a few days, I tried a crossover cable, nothing works.
The connection from computer to router is fine, but something does not line up from modem to router . . . When I've had everything installed and connected I've had to give in the DNS addresses I have from yourlink by hand to have some and those ones were the only numbers displayed on the 'Status' page.
I really dont know what to do anymore, please can anybody help me?? Yourlink is really not very helpful in that matter, even so they should know what works best with their connections/modems to routers, you get only some very plain answers on the first help level.
There should be an easy explanation to everything, I am starting to loose my mind!

My cable comes directly from the roof where the little dish is installed and before it comes into the room it goes through the modem, so it hangs all together. The modem is on the wall of our sunroom and from there the cable comes into my computer room through the wall.

Has anyone got a belkin f1up0002uk print server working with OS X 10.4.10

I've got an HP all-in-one printer and want to share it wirelessly with my Macs and PCs. I've got a netgear wireless router/access point. I've just bought a belkin print server (model # f1up0002uk) but this appears to be windows only compatible.
Before opening the belkin box I did a search on the internet - I couldn't find anything specific on this model of router working with a Mac.... however, from my research I get the feeling it should be possible to get it working on a Mac through IP printing.
Has anyone used this print server with a Mac and got it working? Failing that, any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your response. It turns out that my original fears were unfounded.
Installing the print server was very straight foward and after getting it working on one of my XP boxes I was able to install it on my MacBook using *Print & Fax* ---> *IP Printer* ---> Protocol ---> _Line Printer Daemon - LPD_ ---> Address ---> _Belkin Print Server IP Address_.
I checked to see if OS X provided a driver for my all-in-one printer (HP PSC 2175) and the following page http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303057 said there was one but it wasn't available in my printer pull down list. Further research through HP revealed that other drivers could be used and fortunately there were Gimp-Print 5.0.0 beta 2's available so I used the HP 500C driver.
I also had to reserve the IP address of the print server on my wireless (Netgear) router but I left DHCP on for the rest of my devices.
The end result is that the Belkin Print Server now works across my mixed Mac and PC network. Unfortunately I'm not able to use the scanner through my Macs but this isn't an issue as my priority was to share printing. I should also mention that the Belkin manual also includes instructions for Unix/Linux and OS X, although this is not stated on the box.

My ethernet port packed up but I got a DLink DFE-690TXD cardbus/pcmcia card working OK under Tiger. But after upgrading to Leopard it's now not working as noted on http://forum.insanelymac.com and on the post (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8388326&#8388326). However these sources report that some gigabit ethernet cards (RTL8169 chipset?) work under Leopard without the need for a driver.
If anyone has got one of these working then it would be very useful to hear which card you have.

The lexmark P190 series driver is built-in to Leopard:

The Lexmark SW you installed is really, realy old. Print Center was last seen in 10.2!! It was replaced in 10.3 with Printer Setup Utility. As you noted PSU was moved into System Preferences in 10.5. So I would not really trust Lexmark SW that is that old. Lexmark doesn;t always get things updated that quickly...but is has been a while since 10.2.
You should be able to remove the Lexmark SW (remove/Library/Printers/Lexmark). Then you can re-install the Lexmark drivers that came with Leopard from the DVD. Try those....They are Way newer what you tried.
