Anyone had problem setting up the bashrc file?
Hi,
I cant figure out how to set up that file. Im in C:\cygwin\home\Administrator\bashrc and i just put those lines:
source /cygdrive/c/alchemy_home/alchemy-setup
PATH=$alchemy_home/achacks:/cygdrive/c/flex/bin:$PATH
export PATH
and when i run the terminal, I get:
I didnt know where to put those lines, so i put them in the first line of the file.It seems that it does that because i open the file with word and save it. But how should i change the file content?
it's because windows uses the CRLF line ends, whereas linus uses only LF.
put this in cygwin:
dos2unix ~/.bashrc

My imac (Intel) display is frozen. Both the mouse and the network are working. I've shut down various times, pulled the cord from the receptacle on the power strip, and restarted several times. Same problem, but a c.2009 iMac running OS X 10.9.1. Just happened overnight. Presently, I'm able to access my HD via wireless via laptop and copying all non-backed up files to an external drive. So far, Paula is the only other person I've found with this same problem and hers was three years ago! Going to keep searching for an answer.

Has anyone had problems with the latest Lexmark printer driver update? My Lexmark printers won't work with the latest driver update. If I reinstall an older version of the drivers, they work.
Mine crashed once with new update, but working fine.
I had to delete old printer, restart iMac, and then reinstall
new drivers to get it to work. Would not complete without
the restart after deleting non-working printer. No problems
since and all features working. -
Open Another Project - how do I set up the published files?
I created a Menu project that launches (via buttons) two other projects. Each of these other projects has a button to return to the Menu. I copied the published set of files to each of the Callees folders. So, Menu\Callees has Run 1 and Run 2 folders (all the published files) Run 1 and Run 2\Callees each have Menu folder with all the published files. Menu launches Run 1 and Run 2 fine but the Menu button on Run 1 and 2 works once, then I get this:

Anyone have a simple explanation for how I should be setting up the published files?

Would running these from a web server resolve the file location problem I asked about? I tested the SWF version on my HD and got a similar error message (this time looking in the root directory, not the callees folder.) Can you point me to a reference re: how to set up files when running another project?

Has anyone had problems trying to burn playlists to CD's, so that they can play on regular CD players?
Yes, I have had problems playing burned IDVD's on stand alone dvd players and on pc's.
I have set the burn speed to 4x and as low as 2x to no avail.
I will try Verbatim discs and DVD-R to see if that resolves my problem.
I will also make sure of the minimum of 25 gb free space on hard disk.
Do you prefer a particular cleaning-dvd? I've never used one on my macmini.

Anyone had problems losing Dropbox favourites on their iPad?
I have about 400 songs (words and chords) as Word documents on Dropbox marked as Favorites on my iPad (saves carrying around sheets of paper in a binder) but for some reason the documents lose their 'favourites' tag and so cannot be accessed unless I have a Wi-Fi connection. I have 're-favoritized' them twice already which is very time consuming. I am thinking of giving up and buying a tablet.

Just looked at the string and I am guessing you didn't get it! Basically I was saying I was pleased you got a positive response from Dropbox. Very easy for Dropbox; very easy for Apple and Dropbox to blame each other which is not helpful to their customers.
You can of course use your songs via Dropbox providing you have access to Wi-fi at the gig but this is a bit risky if you are their to do a gig. By the way do you have the iPad holder that clips onto your mic stand? Saves taking a music stand and gives you a bit more room in the space a coffee bar or restaurant usually gives you.

Do you mean the Keystation 88es? I have no problems connecting mine (and my other controllers) via USB through a USB hub, to my MacBook running MS2. I use the Motu Ultralite so I can't comment on the MBox but it should "just work".

It's a system wide "preference"; fortunately, there is an option somewhere in your System Preferences (*not* Illustrator's) to switch this totally annoying, bug-infested, problem causing "new improved what-the-xxxx-were-they-thinking" new feature off.
I did that SO fast after installing Lion, I can't even recall where to change it. I NEVER ever want it back ON again, so no loss there. -

Your download or install of the update may have been corrupt. Visit the Mac App Store and re-download the update or visit http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1726 and download the 10.9.2 update combo and re-install.

If you are really running iOS 3.1.2 as your signature suggests, that is likely the issue. Many apps now require iOS 4.3 or higher. -
