Anyone have a good database-based Profile Web Service that they can share?

I need to sync in some user data from a sql server database...i've written a basic PWS but i'm curious if anyone has a solid implementation already created, namely with the SCI stuff already done for me.

No. You cannot link your contacts to hers. However, you can use Home Sharing to share the information:

I need help. My three boys have brand new iPad mini's and I would like to set them up. I would like to create one new apple ID and have it shared by all three. This way they can share content (apps, music). How do I do that?

Looking for an information management solution. I have three boys that have brand new ipad mini's. I would like to set them up to manage information the easiest way.
My first thought was to use my apple ID for their apps and purchases. This would give me the advantage of seeing everything downloaded and be able to monitor this closely. The disadvantage to me, was that they would see all of my contracts, my apps, and my music.
My other thought was to create one new apple ID and to share that among the three boys. This way I would not have to worry about my information being on their ipads.
This is a very confusing situation for me. My goal is seperate my stuff from my kids stuff. Appreicate input from anyone who has in-depth experience with this as it applies to apple ID, icloud ID, and any detailed explaination of how to do this would be appreiciated. Thanks.

I think I will do this. I will use my apple ID and set face time and message to work independently. That solves one problrem. My other problem and maybe my bigger problem is that if I am using my apple ID, how do I iflter all of this so that my kids don't see my contacts, get my apps, etc. ?

In short, NO.
I was hoping that the 7.4.1 update would allow it to work, but it has caused more problems than it is worth.If you do actually get it to work you will see the TC in finder (under Shared) when connected to the internet outside of your home network. What I have found though is that the 7.4.1 firmware update has made using the internet at home almost impossible.
I have tried Hamachi but it is not reliable.
I have settled with Dropbox so my files are synced between my home machine and laptop.

I am consulting at a very large bank which outsources its database operations to another company. As such, the outsourcing group has very strict rules surrounding database usage. I have been using Application Express for a while now and would like to use it on projects for my current client. Unfortuneately, the outsourcing group has decided to reject usage of Application Express since it requires additional services (the web server) that they do not sancion running on database server. They also cited the email capbilities and web services as reasons why they shun it's usage.
Anyone else run into this? If so, anyone successful in overcoming the arguments being made by this group? In my opinion they are just being lazy in that they don't want to deal with something new. Instead of building processes to monitor and control what they fear they have decided to not deal with it entirely and the effect is lost productivity of not being able to use technology such as Apex.

database server.As Bob says, you can install the OHS on another machine if that is their primary concern. Infact many times you might want it on a seperate machine anyway. As for the 'requires additional services', show me one component of Oracle that doesn't rely on another ;)
Do they object to running the listener on the machine so that you can connect to it? Thought not ;)

My 'cynical' answer would be, have they removed the UTL_MAIL/UTL_TCP packages from the DB? Do they know they're there?
In my opinion they are just being lazy in that they don't want to deal with something new.Harsh...but I somewhat agree with you, it's easy to dismiss offhand things that we don't know about, it takes a braver person to stand up and say "Dang....this tool is *so* much better than the one I just spent years learning" ;)
The thing is, pretty much every argument I've heard against using APEX can either be disproved or counteracted, so long as it is a technical reason (or even just an 'urban myth'). However if it's a 'business rule' that you don't use 'XYZ' technology then it's often incredibly difficult to change that rule.
However, I have come across a surprising number of 'Guerilla Projects', where even though APEX wasn't 'officially' used as a development tool by a company, some 'enterprising' developers have got hold of it, developed something, released it to users and changed perception that way (as Bob again mentions).
In additional to Bob's other comment about setting up a test machine, why not show them what can be done in just a few minutes using the public Oracle site (http://apex.oracle.com), since a quick visual click-and-show often changes opinions a lot faster than giving them 200 pages of documentation ;)

First, Go to System Preferences, keyboard, and click on the Keyboard tab
Make sure that the checkbox by "Use all F1, F2, etc, keys as standard function keys" is NOT checked.
Next, click on the Show All button, and select Bluetooth. You should see your Apple Wireless Keyboard listed on the left side of the screen.
Click once to select it, and then click the gear icon at the bottom of the box, and choose Disconnect.
Power off the keyboard by holding down the power button on the keyboard for a few seconds until it show "keyboard Off on your imac screen, then turn it back on again.
The device should appear once again in your bluetooth list.
Try out the volume control buttons now, and see if that cleared things up

Unfrotunately, this sounds like a dead TC.
- also, the picture does NOT pick up the 2 airport expressess in the house that I used to extend the wirelass network on the previous TC
- there is no option to extend the wireless network
You need to reconfigure the Expresses to rejoin the TC's network via a factory reset.

put the phone in DFU mode (do a search for how to do this) and restore to the latest firmware. you may have to download the firmware from apple and when selecting restore or update in itunes press the shift key and select the firmware.

If you see closely, the productID is actually a concatenation of the areaID and the productID. The reasoning here is that a product can be in multiple nodes of the product catalog and one would need to specify the product on a particular node for the direct URL to work.
On a client site, we came up with a better solution by creating a new FM to retrieve the specific areaID and productID for a product. This FM could be called by extending the webshop. Then a .NET program was written to re-direct a shortened form of the URL to the long URL and therefore the specific product in the product catalog. Eg.: http://yyyyy.com/b2c/b2c/product would be automatically redirected to http://yyyyy.com/b2c/b2c/init.do?shop=<shop name>&areaID=<area Guid>&productID=<product Guid>, something similar to the concept behind "tinyurl.com". A point to remember here is that this would work only for the B2C webshop.

I know that this is happening because special characters are sent by the soap message but I don't know how to solve this problem.

Hi,
BPEL and BPEL PM do not have a good support for SOAPENC-Array: it would be very difficult to create such an array in BPEL or to receive it and manipulate it.
The (unfortunately very intrusive) work around is to change the WSDL of the service to use a XML type defined using XML schema. This is all the more painful that JDev 9.0.4 does not have strong support for complex types.
In general though, I would highly recommend this best practice:
1) Start by define the WSDL contract first
2) Then generate the server side skeleton to implement it
3) Use BPEL as the client to this contract.
By starting with the contract first, you make sure that 1) your interfaces are clean and coarse grained.
2) things like java objects, sessions, etc to not leak through the interface (which would be the worst thing that could happen because it would closely link the client and the server.
Sorry for not being more helpful. This will get radically cleaner in Oracle AS 10.1.3.

"The reply" as in the Rescue email to reset your Security Questions? If so, then you will have to contact iTunes Support directly to get them reset:

Well...I went to the modem (Westell, WireSpeed), found the NAT settings, once again, I'm WAY over my head, I am assuming this is a TCP connection (as opposed to a UDP) and per Lorex my mobile devices will use port 1025. So I gave it a "global port range" of 1-10 and I indicated that the "base host port" was 80, 1025, & 9000 (ports 1,2,3). When I selected the 'enable' it asked for a "host devise" my choices are my IPhone, IMac and the IP address for the dvr, so I choose the dvr. I still cannot connect and canyouseeme still can NOT find these open ports. This is taking up my whole day! I don't know how people figure this stuff out.
