Anyone have a solution to why Illustrator CC crashes on Mac Pro running OS 10.6.8?
We recently (yesterday) upgraded our Adobe apps to CC versions. InDesign, Photoshop and Bridge all run perfectly. Illustrator crashes at startup. Tried launching it from Administrator account and it crashes. I have disabled fonts except the bare minimum, no success. If it would launch, then I might be able to narrow it down to an incompatible print driver, but it has to actually be running first. We use no third party plugins with it, so I doubt that is the issue.

Anyone have any solutions on why Encore for Mac would crash at startup?
I've posted for other problems that I had with Photoshop over permissions and scratch disk errors, and once those got fixed, I thought Encore would be fixed, as the two are linked somewhat. Nope. Is there no special keys to hold or any files to delete to fix this? Here is my error report, which has my computer specs. I also have CS4 and 5.

I tried uninstalling Encore CS5.1 for Mac using AppDelete, the reinstalling. This didn't help. So I went into the Encore CS5.1 folder and launched the "Uninstall Adobe Encore CS5.1" application that's located there. This allows you to choose which applications to uninstall. I chose only Encore CS5.1. Then I checked the box to remove preferences. After the uninstall was completed, I reinstalled Encore CS5.1. This seems to have done the trick. Now Encore works fine. I may have had a corrupt preferences file that AppDelete didn't delete, but which the Adobe uninstaller did. -

Hi there, In CS3 I saw both my scanners in Import From Device, but in CS4 they are vanished, anyone have a solution for me? Thanks in advance.
The Twain.Plugin conflicted with bad scanner drivers made by scanner manufacturers and caused too many problems so it is not installed by default. Its in the goodies folder.
But I have to ask. Why tie up a $1000 application to use a $100 scanner? Use the scanner as a stand alone with the software that came with the scanner or use VueScan that way you can keep working while you are scanning. BTW you know that you are using the scanner software when you scan through photoshop right. Photoshop has no scanning capabilities built in. -
I just loaded Yosemite on my Mac and now adobe flash won't work in Safari 8.0.4 . Does anyone have a solution ?
If you can't install or update Flash, follow these instructions.
If you have installed the latest version of Flash, please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.

If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select

Under Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and Boot Camp, my 27 inch Apple LED Cinema Display checks out as a Generic PnP Monitor and is shown as NOT HDCP compliant. I haven't been able to find any kind of an .inf file to use. Does anyone have a solution? Or is Apple's implementation of HDCP (if it's there) incomplete?

I am trying to re-print a portion of a photo enlarged through "poster" in the print dialog box. The original photo printed just fine with the exception of one "page." This is what I'm trying to re-print. I have gone into the Multi- page box clicked on 4 x 4 and then selected the pages I did not want to print. This isn't working as it prints some pages and doesn't print others. All in all it is using a tremendous amount of ink for this project. Additionally I am printing on fabric which involves a deal of time in that preparation. The waste factor is turning into a huge cost. It should just be a simple thing to tell the print dialog box what I want it to do and have it do it. Help, does anyone have a solution?

Yes I marked the question as Assumed Answered. I needed to move on. I have never taken part in a forum and couldn’t wait any longer for any input so not wanting anyone to waste the time answering me, I marked the question as assumed answered. I guess this was the wrong thing to do and I apologize to the forum.
I did go another route and loaded and enlarged the photo in Photoshop Elements, Then cropped the photo to the area I needed to reprint. I probably should have done this in the first place!

iPhoto frustrating error..The volume for "Df23.JPG" cannot be found. It prompts for all photos with this issue rather than offering an option to ignore. I can find the images in spotlight but not in Find Photo. Does anyone have a solution?
Unless you have the source files that were on the TC or Windows machine you will have to start over with a new library as follows:
Start over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
2. Open the library package like this.

3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
4. Drag the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.

This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects. Your original library will remain intact for further attempts at fixes is so desired.

Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.
