Does any have a temperature simulator for LV 8.5? I am in desperate need!!!!

What more do you need than a random number generator? Have you tried doing a search for temperature in the example finder? You would find a least two - 'Simple Temp Datalogger.vi' and 'Graph Temperature.vi'

Anyone have a spare microphone cable for ibook G3 12 inch? I pulled the wire from the connector when replacing my logic board.

Don't have a spare one lying around, but We Love Macs has a new one for sale:

PowerBook Tech parts out non-working iBooks. Although the microphone cable isn't a part he lists, Daniel may have one available for not much money if you e-mail him at the address listed on his home page.
    Good luck.

  • Anyone have a tip or app for removing unwanted formatting from text on the iPad?

I have text that was created in Word, sent via email, received on my iPad. I need to get all of the hidden formatting stripped out of this text before pasting into another application. The Notes app works in plain text, but it does not strip all the formatting out of text that has been pasted into it.  Anyone have a solution? I have looked at online services and searched for apps but can't seem to find anything that does this.

I also am looking for a better email client. I need the ability to use folders and have email go directly to these folders when checking email. Just sending all email to only one inbox folder is just to confusing. I like the ability to search for email but this feature only helps to a degree. An example would be... I like all my email from tennis friends on my team to go to a separate email folder. I can do this in Microsoft Outlook and this feature makes it a lot easier to view things. Right now the email client is like a physical filling cabnet that has only one folder. The email client does try to group related emails together that I don't think works very well. So far not all email from one person are being grouped together. Some are but not all so I don't know what criteria it is using to determine what is grouped together. To work better I would like every piece of email from the same person to be grouped together. But then again wouldn't it be easer to just have a separate folder for each person or group of people. The reason for this is at a glance there are so many emails in my inbox that I sometimes miss an email. Using folders would allow me to check and scan my inbox a lot easier when there are only maybe a dozen email to view.
Anyone else would like to see this feature?

  • Anyone have a DVD player script for playing clips?

I'm new to Applescript and I'm trying to find or write a simple script for playing video clips in DVD Player in a row, so that I don't have to watch a clip, then minimize the play window, then select the next clip from the Go menu. I have four clips that I would like to play back to back. This doesn't seem like it would be too hard to do, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out.
Anyone have some advice (or a pre-written script) for a pathetic newbie?
    PowerBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I think maybe I wasn't clear enough in my original question. These aren't clips that I have saved on my computer or clips that are on the DVD itself, they are just clips I set using DVD Player (using the New Video Clip command in the Control menu).
The problem is that the DVD has no chapter markings. The entire 82 minute film is one chapter. We have permission from the producer to show only segments of the film, so I created clips in DVD player of the parts I want to show. However, right now, I can only play them one at a time and then have to minimize the display area and go to the Go menu and select the next video clip. I have four named video clips set for the DVD. I would like to write a script that I could run that would play them all in a row.
I feel like I must just be missing something obvious.
It seems to be that the script should just be
    tell application "DVD player"
    activate
    play named video clip "background"
    play named video clip "Cizik"
    play named video clip "Durley"
    play named video clip "end"
    end tell
but that's not working. The clips show in the Video Clips window (if I go to the Go menu), so evidently the computer knows they're there, but basically nothing happens if I try to run that script except 1.852402768E+9 showing up in the Result window (I feel like I should know what that means, but of course I don't).
Is there some trick for directing it to the clips that I'm missing? Or some other command I need to put in first?

  • Anyone have AIR 2.5 extension for CS5?

Making one last plea on here as two attempts at contacting Adobe support have failed miserably. Both "techs" linked me to 2.6, which as we know, doesn't work with CS5.
So before I redo my file code for SWFKit, and ditch AIR for this project, I'm hoping someone on here has a copy of the extension and can get it to me via dropbox or something.
    Anyone?

hey, i think i hit a homer with this one:

  • Anyone have a Multi Instrument setup for the MO6?

I just got a MO6 workstation to integrate into my studio
setup. I was wondering if anyone has this keyboard
(or the MO8) and has a Multi instrument for it setup
in the enviroment. I am trying to not have to input
all the names of all 16 instrument banks. I tried
doing an Google and forum search with no luck.
The thing is impressive sound wise and will be
easier to edit with the free software available.
Only wish Apple would get their support online.
Yamaha did thier end with the remote control
feature. I can put it into Remote control with
one touch and start controlling Logic from the
keyboard. Every button has a dual role, one for
the workstation and one for Logic. Very cool feature.
    Thanks in advance, Phil

Sorry, I only have the original Motif 6 environment,
but I wanted to ask you how you like the MO6?
Have you used the original Motif at all? I'm thinking
about saving up to get a MO8 because of the weighted
keys, and having the ES sounds only helps.
    Thanks for posting,
I have not used the original Motif at all but am loving the MO6!
I am primarily a guitar player but since getting this board my inner
keyboard self is coming out. Sound On Sound has a review of
the MO6 in Junes issue. I recieved my copy a week after purchasing
the MO6 and was glad to see their positive review.
I would recommend the MO8 for the tone generator alone and as SOS put it,
you got to love that arpegiator! Everything else to me is icing.
I will have to check out the Motifator web site. That is probably my best
chance at getting the enviroment for the MO6. Thanks again for taking
    the time to post.

  • Does anyone have a site survey config for autonomous 1142 AP?

We're going to start using the 1142s as our survey access points.  We use autonomous 1242s now and I'm wondering if anyone has any canned 1142 configs they're willing to share.
    Thanks in advance!

    Scott,
I've always surveyed with power local = 14, which should be 25mw.  I use channels 1,6 & 11, of course for 2.4 GHz.
    Also use 11.0 6.0 9.0 12.0 18.0 24.0 36.0 48.0 54.0  as my data rates.
My goal is to take two surveys of the same building - a small building, that is.  One survey with the 1242s, and the second survey with the 1142s.  I want to compare the coverage to see if the 1142s do better, etc.
I've heard you just don't "swap out" the 1242s for 1142s or 3502s, but that may be just what we end up doing for simplicity.  And I agree, if we were going to forklift to the 802.11n APs and forklift the clients, we could survey to 802.11n since we would not have any 802.11g clients to worry about.  But that's just not the case since we do not control what clients come on our network.  So we almost have to design to the "least common denominator".
    Thanks!

  • Does anyone have a set of .VIs for talking to a generic modem?

    Hi and thanks for reading.
I don't want to have to know AT commands, just what I want to do. Such as go off hook, dial a number, wait for answer etc.

    Stan,
Maybe the attached VI will help. This VI library contains utilities to talk via the serial port to a modem. Sending standard Hayes-compatible AT commands to the modem allow it to dial a number, send data, hang up, etc.
If you have the Internet Toolkit, it assumes you already have a valid TCP/IP connection. However, many web browsers such as Netscape and Internet Explorer have auto-dialing options that will start dial-up networking automatically when you launch your browser. The only trouble is that the auto-dial wizards can require the user to push buttons, but there is a Shareware program called DUNCE which will take care of the button pushes for you in the auto-dial wizards so the user does not have to intervene in the dial-up process.
    You can la
unch the browser from LV and then have the browser configured for auto-dial and that should take care of the problem. I did not actually try this out myself, but in theory, it should work.

  • Does anyone have a orajox9.lib needed for ncomp?

I have question regarding setting_os.properties file. It has LINK_COMMAND looks for $(oracle_home)/lib/orajox9.lib but in reality, there is no such file. Is it a bug? Since ncomp.log has LINK FATAL ERROR because it couldn't find the lib file to link. Beside, ncomp is supposed to create a dll file in oracle/aurora/deploy but it doesn't. I am not sure whether this is related to the missing orajox9.lib
    Thanks for any response.

  • Does anyone have ASR 2.2.5  for mac os 9?

im looking for this ancient version of Apple Software Restore for use with mac os 9.2.2
i use alot of vintage software and i have been having some type of hard drive corruption issue
and i need to make a backup of my system so that i can restore it in the event that the filesystem becomes corrupted again
untill i figure out which application is causing this error
the only way i can deal with it is to clone my drive and restore it
but i dont want to use any mac os x software
ASR has a limit of 2GB but the later version has a filesize limit of 4GB which would probably be enough
    whereas 2GB is not...
please im desperate for this app.. i cant find it anywhere
if u know any mac systems admin guys that were managing large amounts of g3/g4 computers
    they would probably have this...
fingers crossed that someone can help me find this hard to find updated version of this app
    versions i have so far:
v1.3.8 (included in many developer kits for os9)
v2.1.2 (included in 'automate asr 1.0' app found on macupdate)
v2.2.4 (given to me by a friend, but incomplete without applescripts)

    You might find it here:

  • Does anyone have a ready made solution for this?

    http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/forum/#/20110128/monitor-weblogic-ssl-certificates-333161/

    Nice site, looks good too!
You can do something like the following:
    InputStream inputStream = new FileInputStream(new File(locationOfTheKeyStore));
KeyStore keystore = KeyStore.getInstance(type); // where type is a String containing either pkcs12 or jks
    keystore.load(inputStream, password.toCharArray());
Date creationDate = keystore.getCreationDate(alias); // where alias is a String of the certificate alias in the keystore
    Calendar calendar = Calendar.getInstance();
    calendar.setTime(creationDate);
calendar.add(Calendar.YEAR, 1);Now you have the creation date - you probably know how long a certificate is valid (for example a year), which you
can add to the creation date.
