Anyone have an EyeTV USB tuner?
Since I'm rather pressed for space (and because my future roomie at SUNY Albany has already decided he hates me...but that's another story), I've been looking around for a TV tuner. I'm just curious if anyone out there has one of these things. I just ordered my 17" MBP, and I'm trying to load up on accessories before it arrives (supposedly by the 17th). Hey, 17 on 17. Anyway...if you have any experience with this thing, lemme know.
Hello how are you doing today I hope fine. I'm curently in Egypt on a Mutiforce Mission, I'm from NewYork also (Buffalo). The USB device works great on both Systems. I did not have much space were I'm stationed at so I purchased the device and it's the Bomb flawless. Take care and good luck in school.

Anyone have a fix for a USB HP TV tuner not waking the laptop to record? Records fine while awake.

Hey, was just looking through some older forums and saw that this one was never replied to. Are you still having issues with the HP tuner? If so, the underlying cause could be any number of reasons from software to hardware to the signal the tuner is looking for. As it currently stands, without a digital converter, you will only get local channels 1-49. And this will only be until around spring when all analog channels are removed completely. In any event, I know that the HP software looks for multiple signals (digital vs analog). If you're not using a digital antenna then you'll want to make sure it's tuning to the Analog NTSC tuner.

You may not have the iPod's Music tab set up in iTunes, which is how you tell iTunes how to automatically sync your iPod.
Select the iPod in iTunes. There is a row of "tabs" (starting with Summary). Click on Music there.
To use automatic syncing, the checkbox for Sync Music is checked. Below that, you can choose to sync Entire music library, if it fits. Otherwise, you can choose to sync Select playlists, artists, albums, and genres.
With the latter choice, you can create a selection of songs to sync to the iPod by selecting (checkmarking) playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres on the Music tab. For example, you can make a playlist in iTunes with all the songs you want on the iPod. That new album needs to be on that playlist, if you want those songs synced to the iPod. On the Music tab, checkmark that playlist.
When you Apply the change, your selection of songs sync to the iPod (replacing its existing content). Going forward, any changes in the iTunes Music library that are related to your selection of songs on the Music tab sync automatically to the iPod when you connect it, or when you click Sync.
Therefore, if you create a playlist with songs you want on the iPod, and select it on the iPod's Music tab, you can simply update that playlist in iTunes (add and remove songs), and those changes sync to the iPod automatically at the next opportunity. -
After updating the software on my I phone 4s it downloaded my entire i tune library to my phone. I have tried everything to correct this problem with no results. Does anyone have a fix for this. I do not want the entire lirary of music on my phone

Keep receiving "USB Over Current Notices" since updating to OSX 10.6.8. I have no devices plugged into my Imac and running everything wireless. SMC/PRAM resetting did not work. Does anyone have some advice or can help?

Pretty strange, but...
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, does it happen in Safe Mode? Reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.) -
I just bought an ipod touch 4th generation recently, found that it is very difficult to plug and unplug the USB cable from my ipod. Does anyone have this problem?
Some of the Dock connector cables have very small buttons on the rounded adge of the plug, which need to be pushed in to release the plug from the iPod. Look at the picture below, do you notice the "button" on the white connector edge? There's one on the other edge too and they both need to be pressed in to release the "evil looking spike" sticking out of the grey edge.
The shorter plugs (that I've seen) do not have the release mechanism, the plug simply pulls out. -
What USB 3.0 card should I get for early 2009 Mac Pro so I can connect the Drobo 5D? They say get CalDigit or Sonnet. Anyone have preference or experience with reliability with this. I am running Lion and Trying to find which is better as I know from experience not all cards are created equal. Thanks in advance for your help!

Suggestion. Have you tried one of the fixed in this article to cure the BT issues in MacPro 3,1?

Whenever I am listening to itunes on my iphone and plug it in to my USB in my car radio, the song stops and instead the first alphabetical song is played. It also does this when it's been plugged in the car, and then I remove it, and it reverts back to the first alphabetical song. This has only happened after I updated my phone. Does anyone have any ideas?!
I appreciate the commentary response but I'm not sure how this resolved my problem. The car was made before the iPhone coming out. By this fact, it would seem as if Apple has not made the product to compliment cars made before it.
Can anyone provide me steps to resolve this issue please?

Can HP USB tuner be used with SnapStream?
I'd like to be able to record programs and then watch them on my ipod. SnapStream seems to provide this capability, but I can't tell if its compatible with the HP USB tuner. Does anyone know if the software works with the HP product, or is there a better way to convert the recorded programs to be ipod compatible?

I believe that the monitor should work with your computer. Here is the User's Guide of the monitor. The max resolution for the monitor is 1600 x 900. Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer. The Integrated graphics is the nVidia GeForce 9100. I can't see anything that should be a problem.
