Anyone have the mini in a vertical position?
My iMac PowerPC G4 is a bit slow, and I am thinking about buying the Mini. My 'closet' office space is tight so can I put the Mini on its side?
Standing the new Mac Mini on its side will also improve wireless speed, as the wifi radio signal is no longer restricted to travel through that narrow gap created by the pedestal. This is what I found after my cable ISP increased download speed from 80 to 120Mbps recently, using a 2010 model AEBS as router and a 5GHz dual-band wireless connection:
1. Mac Mini sitting flat on my desk: 90Mbps download speed (average for 100MiB download).
2. Mac Mini on its side with the bottom pedestal turned in a direction facing the AEBS: 100Mbps.
3. Same as 2. but now turned away from the direction of the AEBS: download speed increases at first, hitting 120Mbps when turned 80 degrees; turning it further decreases the download speed again.
4. Just out of curiosity: with Cat6 Ethernet the download speed is also 120Mbps.
Now, I admit that this is a luxury problem...

CAN ANYONE HELP?! Does anyone have the software for the old 20" cinema display model number M88932M/A? (brought early 2004- the version with no control button) I can't find my manual or software CD for my Apple Display anywhere - I can't remember if the screen was even shipped with them. Because do not have this software I can't control anything to do with my screen e.g the brightness/contrast etc.
I can't find the link to download the software anywhere on the apple website! (I have spent hours looking). If you know the link, I'd be really grateful if you could email it to to me. I have downloaded the OS X version, When I went to install it, but I got a message up saying the software was already on my machine. It must part of the Tiger OS, becuase I haven't installed anything.
I have a quick question for you . . . Should the software you put up for me enable to me run "Display Calibrator Assistant" in the System preference or is the software from the CD hidden something else and I am looking in the wrong place on my mac?
I did read somewhere when I got under the apple menu there should be a "monitor" menu - I don't have that but that maybe a classic thing?

I have 4s. After I updated ios7.0.3 my wifi is geyed out. I expected after ios7.0.4 update wifi will work again, but does not. It annoying, because I have to use my data... Does anyone know when it will be fixed or does anyone have the same problem?
I have the same problem. After the upgrade, my wifi is greyed out, and the battery won't hold a charge long. I reset all the settings, tried all the things suggested by Apple, but it didn't work. I took the phone to Verizon, but they said they can't fix it, go to Apple
I made an appointment at the Genius bar, where the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive. A representative told me that the wi-fi is broken and I would need to buy a new phone for $200, because mine is out of warranty. I'm due for an upgrade in a few months, so I'm not going to pay $200 for another 4S now. I'm also not going to buy any more Apple products. Their upgrade caused this problem, and they are not standing behind their producet. -

Again, this only happens for certain video content available in the iTunes store. This was taken from Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode season 5, episode 16 "The Lawless". More recently I've noticed this happening to iTunes store videos in iTunes for Windows (v11.1, Windows 7 SP 1), my iPad mini (iOS 7.0.3), and my iPod Touch 4th gen (iOS 6.1.3), in addition to my Apple TV (v6.0 software). Sometimes it occurs during the whole episode, sometimes just for a few seconds. It's also not consistent across devices; some will the play the same video with the green dot and some without. I'm at a loss to explain it given this lack of consistency, so any help would be appreciated. -
I have the mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter firmware 1.03 and I still have massive screen flickering issues on a Mac Mini 2012.
I am using a Dell 30" monitor (it's the Samsung screen just rebranded) connected to a WD 4TB Thunderbolt drive connected to the Mac Mini.
The screen is usable for the most part when I've just started the computer (although today I started having issues after a fresh restart) but if even just the screen goes to sleep, or the computer goes to sleep and I wake it later, I start to have massive flickering to black and occasionally to snow.
The effect seems to be more likely to arise when I'm on heavy graphics-intensive websites or programs (eg, Tumblr feed with lots of GIF images or working in Adobe Premiere), but once it starts shutting down those programs has no effect, the screen keeps flickering wildly.
The problem improved after the 1.03 firmware upgrade (for a while it was flickering uncontrollably ALL the time and was virtually unusable) but it has not gone away.
Any suggestions would be very welcome, either for how to fix this issue or how to get Apple to, you know, let me TELL THEM that their adapter firmware fix has NOT solved the issue, since my phone support has expired. :/I have a new Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter to allow my original Apple 30" Cinema Display to connect to the new Mac Pro. Shipped straight from Apple, it is firmware version 1.03. I've never had flickering issues, but the display will often go black (possibly after a screen power save) and not come back. when this happens I am still able to connect to and use the Mac via remote connection. But the only way to get the screen back is either to unplug the adapter and plug it back in to the Mac, or to shut down and power up the Mac. This may be a separate issue, so I'll also post it standalone...

I have just updated to Yosemite, but now I can't get the custom short-keys to work.
In Mavericks I had no problem whatsoever, but now even after googeling and restart no solution.

I can confirm the problem you are hitting. The XML test trace does not get recognized at all, and it defaults to Eclipse's basic Open File behaviour. I am not sure if it's because the format definition is missing, or if it's because something prevents the trace type from being recognized. I will open a bug about it.

I have the mini display port cable to hdmi. When I connect I can get audio but on the video I get the display auro screen and can't get my actual display to show as that is not what shows on my display. How can I fix this?

On all of these devices, go to: Settings > iCloud and make sure they're updated with the new password. If you're talking about Macs, go to: "System Preferences > iCloud" too. -

Yeah, it´s happening in normal 3g coverage area, in fact, i used the 3g to download the iOS but after installing it, the phone doesn't get the 3g anymore.
I tryed the reboot pocess, but it didn't fix it
I haven't tryed the restore to factory settings process,
Is there a way to downgrade to iOS 5.1 again?
