Anyone having issues with playback on an external monitor in the new CC 2014?

So Premiere has updated its little self on my mac and now won't work with my external monitor via HDMI or Apple TV. Works absolutely fine the rest of the time but as soon as I try and get external playback to work it crashes.
Is anyone else having this issue / know a fix?

per Lightroom and Creative Cloud FAQ
Lightroom must be installed to your local drive and can't be installed to custom location like other Creative Cloud apps. Lightroom always installs to the default location and disregards any preference you select for a custom location. This behavior is as designed.

Anyone having problems with Safari on an external monitor with Lion?

I have an iMac with external second monitor. Upgrade to Lion. Aside from it being terribly slow, and having typing problems (where first letter appears 4th or 5th when beginning to type), I've noticed the following:
On iMac monitor, everything works fine.
On the external monitor, it's often impossible to fill in a form. Drag Safari over to the main monitor - no problem. Drag it back - still can't complete a form.
Another example: Netflix. Plays on either monitor. However, stopping and starting a movie with the mouse doesn't work. With the space bar, it does.
Overall terribly disappointed in what Lion has done to my computer.

What exact problems are you having? I have been having intermittent problem with mine. Sometimes certain sites will not connect. I get a message that the server stopped responding. I open Firefox and it connects fine.

Is anyone having issues with playback from the story line?

Just wondering if it's my hardware or maybe graphics card. FCP X 10.0.8 seems to not like to play back quick edits. Could it be the pro res files need an SSD drive to playback smoothly when edited clips are just a few frames long?
Mac Pro 2x2.8 quad core, 16 gig ram and ATI Radeon HD 5770. Shold the drives be in a raid?

What you describe is definitely not normal.
FWIW, I find FCPX to be more responsive than legacy versions in nearly every area – except certain kinds of audio editing.
Skimming should be instantaneous in moving though a clip – as fast as you can move your mouse from left to right or the reverse. It's not like scrubbing where you click and drag; you just move the mouse.
JKL navigation as well as spacebar to start should be at least as fast as FCP7.
You didn't mention where your events and projects are stored. IMO, the ideal setup is for events and projects to be on a drive other than your start-uo. (More importantly, it's also the recommendation of instructors like Larry Jordan and Tom Wolsky.) You probably know that the start-up drive should probably have a minimum of 15% free.
If you've checked Activity Monitor and have run a speed test and saw good throughput, two other things you could consider are running OnyX to do kind of a general housecleaning… cleaning caches, fixing premissions, verifying preferences. And creating a new user account and testing FCP responsiveness from that account.

Anyone having issues with Photoshop cc and second monitor in mavericks.

My Pallet windows want to open on my iMac not on the second monitor a dell. When I reload my work space everything works fine but when I then open another image it does the same thing. Tried using different setting for open gl. Basic normal advanced with a photohosp restart after each one.

I too am experiencing this on my iPhone 4 after upgrading to 4.3.3. I am fairly convinced that it is a software issue. The last update seems jumpy. There appear to be more pauses and stuttering with screen changes too. Sometime the button operates perfectely (even with repeated light touches). Other times, it doesn't matter how hard I press; it takes several presses. I notice it more when i am using a battery case or connected to an AT&T MicroCell. I am having a hard time pinpointing problematic apps, although i suspect that mail with my work Exchange account may be a culprit. I suggest posting your issues on Apple's iPhone feedback page, www.apple.com/feedback/iPhone.html, to ensure that they are looking into this problem. If it is a hardware issue, I'll be pretty upset as I received my iPhone 4 on day 1 of availability and it is out of warranty. Hoping for a fix with an update. Please post on the feedback page.

If you're using IOS 4.2.1, you can not download facebook. I have had the same problems and now just use safari to go on facebook. Hope this helps

While there may be an issue in your area, it is suggested that you don't use wireless service if it's a life or death situation, such as the one you've described.

Having issues with playback and capture with canon's hdv XLH1

We have the sony hdv deck for capture, but we recently got the canon hdv xlh1.
When we try to capture or playback on the sony deck using a tape with canon footage, it stutters and drops frames, anyone else having issues with this? Deck control is non existant when we hook up the canon to the system.

Well... yes and no... Canon's 60i will play thru the sony machine, and it will play from the camera on thru FCP, but without deck control. Everything else the canon shoots aka HDV (30p and 24p), the Sony deck will not play correctly at all. We just happened to have the Canon rep at our FCP user's group tonight, and this is what he reported. ALSO he said that FCP will be supporting this new format shortly... (whatever that means... LOL...) The camera itself is not currently supported by FCP.
It does have an interesting feature though. If you have a Kona 2 card and an audio card, you can capture from the camera true HD in 4:2:2 color space. It has an SDI HD output.. but doesn't carry the audio with it. Course this isn't a "cheap" workaround for now because you'd also need an extremely fast disk array to capture the HD. and an audio card, and an HD video capture card... yikes. That Panny P2 camera lookin pretty good right now eh?

Is anyone having issues with Android version 4.3 for Galaxy III throwing in zeroes into text messages?

I received a message on Christmas Eve that a free update was available for my Samsung Galaxy III. I accepted the download and discovered some enhancements and fixes that I liked (finally, my voicemail icon displays the number of waiting voicemails that I have!) but I've noticed to glaring issues:
1. When I send text messages that include numbers (a phone number for example) the OS throws in random zeroes into the number. I have to usually touch the ENTER key and type the number on a new line and play around with it until the number stays in the message correctly.
2. I've had occasional lockups using the media hub which, when I do a restart, causes my settings to revert to the default factory settings....kind of a pain.
There may be other issues.
Q. Has anyone out there experienced this same thing?
Q. Is Google going to fix these issues? I noticed that on Christmas day a half dozen or so updates were made, but these to things still are a problem.
Q. Also, the Verizon Wireless Software Upgrade Assistant on my laptop insists that my version is not supported. I can still access photos and music, but it's a little annoying...

I'm sorry you're having issues with your phone after your update BigLouie1124. I recommend enabling safe mode to see if any of your apps are causing issues with your new software. I log in just fine but when I click on contact it gives me an error. Anyone having issues?

The inability to log into iCloud.com (sporadic problem), can’t use Contacts, Calendar, Notes, etc. (consistent problem), can’t send error reports (consistent problem) from a Windows PC seems to be a common problem.
My recommendation is to download Apple’s Safari version 5.1.7 for Windows to access iCloud.com. It consistently works for me!!!! To make things easier with Safari, I made iCloud.com its Homepage. I’m using it to access iCloud.com from all of my PCs.
On my Windows 7 systems it appears that some add-ons are causing problems when you try to access iCloud.com with the 32-bit version of IE9, but the 64-bit version seems to work fine, more than likely because there are few add-ons that are 64 bit and the 64-bit version can't be the default browser in IE9.
