Anyone having mail syncing problems? (01/01/1970)
I keep getting unread emails from 01/01/1970, and some emails dont even come to the iphone 4
I have called Apple Care 3X on this very same issue. It started day 1 with my iPhone 4. Here is the latest response after the initial "fix" did not work:
"I wanted to let you know that I received your voicemail. At this point it seems that all of our general troubleshooting for mail issues has been done. I have also seen a couple other reports of this issue and have submitted a report of this behavior to our engineers. I am currently awaiting a response from them regarding this issue and will get back in contact with you once I receive that response."
This was an email from a tech support specialist. We are seeing refunds for bumpers. Will we have refunds for buggy email support? Outrageous to launch a "smart phone" that can't properly handle email...including my MobileMe account!

Is anyone having audio sync problems?
My audio seems to start fine and then gradually becomes more and more out of sync. In one case, in a half hour video, the audio gradually became out of sync and then slowly became synced until the visual and audio matched in the last two minutes.
This new iMovie *****. I'm going back to the older iMovie HD.pci latency settings are in my bios and range from 32 to 248. Its currently set to 32. What do you suggest I change it to?

Cant see any device conflicts and its only in certain programs, for instance I have no problems playing games such as tomb raider angel of darkness, midnight club 2 and unreal 2, just certain apps like cakewalk home studio 2004 and PCDJ FX. -
Is anyone having issues syncing the iPhone wifi hot spot to iPad, Mac, Etc..? I constantly have to turn it off and back on to get them to connect. I with it was a little more seamless... Thoughts?
Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
Do you have an iPad 3 as well? And is yours not experiencing any issues close to mine?

Does anyone having any battery problem?
i went to the apple store this morning and reserve a genius bar appointment, so i went back a few hrs ago to tell them my problems with my iPhone 4.
1. my battery dies faster when its not lock.
he turns off all of my notifications "off" and my turns off my push data for my email. i text my sister a few mins after and she says her notifications are "on" and it doesnt drain her batter at all.
2. i get drop calls as well
so he plugs in my iphone to his macpro to analyze the problem with the "drop calls", it shows none the past 2 weeks, but this past Saturday I was getting dropped calls like crazy.
3. multi-task freezes when i delete apps (so i lock my iPhone to un-freeze it)
he didnt get a chance to explain cuz i forgot to tell him lol
im pretty sure this guy didnt know what he was talking about.
back to the question.. does anyone having any battery problem?If you are using your iPhone a great deal, the battery will drain. A combination of things will drain the battery in a rapid pace. Even with the new battery size, it'll drain but at an increased amount of time added.
* Internet 3D gaming
* Internet RPG basic
* Internet browsing with music
* Texting with music
* Internet based Videos (YouTube, HTML5 Quicktime, etc)
* Music and local tasks
* 2D or 3D Navigation with live-GPS enabled
* Push Notifications, Push Mail
* Background, FAS, and file transfer multitasking with every bit of RAM used to continue

A handful of combined tasks will rapidly drain the battery. I usually recommend having chargers handy in home, car, and work as I do the same bit. -
Anyone having issues syncing iPhone 3GS with Microsoft Outlook 2007? iTunes says it is syncing but it will not update calendar or contacts. It just stopped working a few weeks ago.
I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person struggling with exact issue. I've rebooted, upgraded, re-installed, pulled all my hair out as nothing works.
The biggest dissapointment with this thread is that nobody seems to have responded with a solution.
And yes I've managed to pull together enough intellegence to tick the box "sync to outlook" in iTunes - still nothing man.
Definately does not sync from phone to PC and is very hit and miss on PC to Phone. In other words now running 2 seperate calendars - Not helpful Jan. -
Just bought the ipad4 and can't log into facebook. Times out and tells me to check my network connection. Anyone having the same problem or any ideas?

Can't get CF11 to download free trial for students. Anyone having the same problem with Adobe's site?

Please download it from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=coldfusion&promoid=DJDUK use your Adobe ID and password to login and download CF11.

The latest version of itunes on my imac keeps quitting while playing through apple tv. Anyone having the same problem?
Are you downloading iTunes form an Apple website or somewhere else? If the answer is somewhere else, try downloading it from Apple. Click on iTunes in the black menu bar above and go from there.

adobe support is hopeless, there must be a better way, if not it might be better to get a different movie program. is anyone having the same problem?
This is like buying a GM car and being told to talk to otherGM customers on how to fix your car yourself. It it the blind leading the blind. I have wasted many days and weeks because I cannot find solutions. I have rarely gotten a solution from any similar forum, and more often been told by other members that I should buy what they have or that I should not want to make this or that type a disc, etc., and rarely a suggestion that is useful.

Everytime I open Safari it downloads a series of blank.aspx files into my downloads folder. Anyone having the same problem?
Has there been a fix for this yet? I am downloading close to 150 blank aspx files every 15 minutes. I have tried the fix from Carolyn Samit and the AdBlock seems to be working thus far, but when it is not working it launches Adobe Dreamweaver. Which is going berzerker.
Any help would be much appreciated.

When playing music there is no shuffle button like there was before... On the playlist there is a shuffle bar but this does nothing when I touch it. It's either stuck on my music is messed up.
Any ideas??Start playing a song.
Select the album artwork area for the song playing to reveal the scrubber for the song.
Is the color of the icon located at the right of the scrubber blue?
If so, that is the shuffle icon and blue means shuffle is on. Select the icon to turn shuffle off. White means off. -
My audio books are not showing up in purchase history, but everything else is okay... is anyone having the same problem? I have already authorised my new computer and I am currently downloading my purchased music and videos however the books (audiobooks) are not showing for download.

That is correct. You cannot redownload audiobooks.

Everyone and it is not a problem. Audiobooks simply are not available for redownload. -

The SMS links thing is highly annoying. You don't have to copy/paste however. You should see an icon like this: (>) to the right of the text bubble with the link. Tap on that, the in the screen that opens, tap "Visit".
Alternatively, you can tap twice directly on the link, then hold your finger down after the second tap.
Still unnecessarily difficult, but not as bad as copy/paste.
What I don't get is why can't I find any mention of this change or how to fix it (if even possible) elsewhere online? -
Anyone having Bluetooth syncing issues w VW Tiquan11... and iPhone4? Essentially the pairing craps out every other time when you connect to the cars bluetooth. Requires rebooting iPhone, power off/on and then connects..
Many people are finding their Iphone 4S drops connection with their VW (Passat etc) integrated bluetooth hands free system after working fine for 5, 10, 20 minutes. The only way to reconnect is to switch the car off or turn the Iphone bluetooth off & back on.
This is a dangerous fault and it appears that both Apple & VW have no solution (or are ignoring as they have already sold you a phone & a car).

have a second hand iPhone, now since the new update my text tone which is the Tri-Tone seems to glitch and repeat the first part multiple times very quickly and then carry on every time I receive a text. In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem. Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page. Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.)
