Anyone having no problems w/ the new extreme?

I am in the market for finally getting a new comp or comps. and want to get a wireless network. I was going to get the new extreme. But it seems like people are having problems w/ it.
Is there anyone out there that hasn't had any issues with it?
I wouldn't be running cross platforms or extensive networks. Just 2 wireless computers (A macbook pro and a macbook), and 1 computer (old g4) hardwired to the base. All they would be doing is using the base station for the internet and a canon printer.
I hope the new extreme can handle that.

I know what the problem is but not how to solve it.
Basically when a computer goes to sleep the connection with the extreme is broken, it appears that when the extreme has nothing to communnicate with it also goes to sleep and cannot be woken up again, The solution seems to be a restart of the extreme.
I don't suffer from this, I have a number of macs on the network both wired and wireless that don't sleep so the extreme is never alone.
I'm not sure whether this affects every user in these circumstances or whether it is isolated cases, although given the number of these extremes that must have been sold to people with laptops only, I think the number who are experiencing this is small.
The significance of whether it is isolated or not is important, if it is only isolated cases then the issue is almost certainly user configuration. If it is that it is widespread then the only likely fix is a firmware upgrade.
Although I suspect it is not widespread but can't be certain, even if it is, this sort of issue is down to software, which means it can be fixed with the firmware update I mentioned rather than a new extreme.

I notice that my new IPad (3rd generation) will not stay connected to the power cord at all, I'm not exagerating, if I plug it in and browse the Internet without fail it will become unplugged and I will have to push the plug back in (Ba-beep). Ive actually grown to despise that sound when you plug your iPhone or iPad in because it reminds me of how much money I spent on something that PHYSICALLY will not charge while I'm using it.
I know the problem with it holding a charge while in use, I get it, the screen is amazing and it takes a lot to run the display, however, it is unacceptable to me that I can't even keep the thing plugged in while I'm using it. I can not even leave it on my Cal King bed overnight because I will wake up in the morning to find that the plug has been jiggled loose in a corner, so it's still attached but not making a connection thus not being charged.
I love the 4GLTE from Verizon and I love the iPad, but I'm actually using my 1st generation IPad while I am at home so I can leave my new $900 iPad on a table to charge free of incident so I can use the 4G while I'm away from wifi during the day. I have been getting more upset about this because I can not even use the Griffin extended cord to charge the iPad and be far from the plug because only the original apple sync/charge cord will have a better shot at staying in. Absolutely none of my non apple cables will stay in the iPad 3 while having it in my hands.
The plug is at an angle, unlike the first iPad, not sure about the iPad 2. Please let me know if they have same issue.
If anyone else is having this problem with the Gen 3 iPad please let me know because I'm tempted to do something about it with apple and I'm hoping that I just for some reason have a bad cable receiver or something and maybe I can get a replacement and enjoy the iPad as I had expected to. There is no reason why I should be even using my first iPad and I have friends that want to buy it but I am not selling it because I'm unable to sell it because I can't handle the new iPad while it's plugged in, that is ridiculous if it's a common issue so please let me know!

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?

Is anyone having volume issues with the new Iphone 4S?

Yes, the volume on my iPhone 4s will max out without me touching any button or setting. When opening mail, for instance, the ringer icon will appear and the volume level goes to max volume - and I'm not touching the volume buttons. It seems to happen randomly, at least I can't identify a pattern, but thankfully it doesn't happen all the time, but at least once a day.
Anyone else seen this?

I have been having problems since updating to the latest version of Numbers.
When I try to open files I am getting an error.
"The document “'13 Tax Prep .numbers” is invalid.
The index.xml file is missing."
Anyone else getting this message? Anyone know how to fix the issue?

Agreed on that part. But take it a step further. If Numbers 3.1 is asked to open an old document that is still in the old Numbers 2 format that relies on an index.xml file but Numbers 3.1 can't find the index.xml file (perhaps the document is corrupted) then how can Numbers 3.1 open the document and interpret it in order to convert it to the new format? My guess is that this a possible trigger for the 'index.xml missing' error message.

Is anyone having any problems with the ML Xcode installation crashing your computer?

Anyone having this problem after the IOS5 update?

I uploaded the new software into our 4 iphone 4's. Two of them have no problem and are working fine. The other 2 keep searching for signal. They will show 4-5 bars and all of a sudden say "searching" for about 7-8 seconds, then show the bars again. We have tried restaring the phones several times and nothing. Our carrier is AT&T. Anyone else having this problem?

Is anyone having a problem using the nytimes digital subscription?

i signed up for the new york times digital subscription on 28 march, then a few days later was told my account was canceled for nonpayment. according to customer service, my account is in good standing. but now when i try to access an article, i'm told i've already used my 20/month and wants me to pay again.
i cleared the cookies and browsing history; tech support reset my password, but i still can't get access on firefox. no problems with internet explorer.

add me to the list. i have reluctantly concluded that the nytimes digital service is not compatible with firefox. over the past 5 days, i have had daily conversations with the nyt techies, who gave me the same useless advice: clear cookies and browsing history and reset password. i did so, repeatedly, but four passwords and hours of frustration later, the nyt digital service still refuses to recognize me as a home delivery subscriber entitled to total access and instead keeps telling me i have used up my 20 free articles. its techies now tell me that firefox is to blame in some way that they can't explain, and i must use internet explorer to access the nyt site. IE works fine but it is not my browser of choice, and i don't like having it open all day long, given its well known vulnerabilities. i am outraged that the nyt didn't see this problem coming, and is doing nothing to fix it! obviously, they have screwed up in a big way.

Just wondering if anyone is having problems with the Smurfs app. Click on it to open it, it opens & then shuts down almost immediately. Can anyone help?

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.

No, it's working very well on both my iPad and my iPhone. Have you tried doing a reset? Press the sleep/wake button and the home button together until the Apple logo appears on the screen, usually takes about 5-10 secs, then release the buttons and allow the iPad to finish rebooting.
See if it's still slow after this.

Does anyone else have problems with the new macbook pro trackpad?

I exchanged my new macbook pro last week because there was a major trackpad lag. Every time I put it to sleep and woke it up, the trackpad would delay 5 or more seconds. I took it in to the Apple store and they said it could be a software issue and I exchanged it. However, I just opened up this one up from the package today, and there's still a lag. Does anyone else have problems with that? I don't want to exchange it again, so is there something I can do?

Also, is it mandatory to run software updates when you first turn on your computer?

I'm having a problem upgrading the new version of Flash Player.

Having a problem just UPGRADING my computer to the latest Flash Player. Had no problems doing it in the past, but now when I go through the steps, my computer fails to save the download. Then I can't run it. We have Windows XP. What do I need to do? Is there a TECH SUPPORT number?

Download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#mai n-pars_header (under the heading Progress bar hangs...) and save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.

Is anyone having a problem with the home button on a 6?

when I first got my iPhone 6, the home button was just like my other iPhones have been, my iPad, my sons iPhone 6, etc. when you pushed it, you can feel it move and you feel a little dull clck. Now the the home button on my iPhone 6 has no movement or click. It still functions, but I'm worried it is on its way to failing and if I wait to address the issue until it completely fails, then it will be out of warranty. Has anyone else experienced any problems with the home button?

Anyone having massive headaches w/ the new updater

I just downloaded the new updater and new version of iTunes. Myy computer will recognize my iPod (click wheel 40Gb) but it says its name is "Senior Recover" and has no songs on it. It also says it is a 30Gb vs. w/ 20Gb free. I actually only have about 2Gb free. The updater will not update it. iTunes states that there is an update available for my iPod so I know that the new update is not on it. My iPod plays perfect and all songs are on it. When I called apple they said that it was my iPod and I needed to restore. I did not like the idea of restoring since that would mean reloading my music onto iTunes. I don't have enough hard drive space to save my collection all at once so I have a stack of 50 CD's w/ all my music on a playlists by alphabet. Restoring would be a headache. I did not believe the apple tech and decided to try plugging my iPod into my wife's laptop (XP) that had the previous vs. of iTunes. Low and behold, it recognized my iPod perfectly w/ all of the songs and everything. Does anyone have any idea how to get my laptop to recognize it correctly again? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. At this point, I have given up on the new updater and never plan to put it on my iPod. I would really just like iTunes to work correctly w/ my iPod.
