Anyone having problems with the iPhone 5c shutting down?

Just got an iPhone 5c from a private seller and the phone shuts down without warning. I'm not very familiar with the iPhone, maybe it's a battery saver or something. Does anyone know if this is a known issue?

I've not had this problem.  Thanks for asking.

  • Is anyone having problems with the iPhone 5 motion sensors?

I having a problem with my phone when it comes to reading movement, the compass doesn't work when it asks to tilt phone to calibrate and in some games it doesn't read when I tilt the phone. I read that apple had a lot of customer complaints about bad motions sensors not be calibrated correctly and I was wondering if anyone else is having/had this problem and what was done to fix it.

I've not had this problem.  Thanks for asking.

  • HT1766 anyone having problems with the start button

Is anyone having problems with the Iphone 4 start button not working

    What is the start button?
Do you mean the on/off button, or the Home button?
If either one is not working at all, more than likely there is a hardware problem.

  • Anyone having problems with the on/off switch

anyone having problems with the on/off switch. It sometimes does not work, I occasionally have to pull the plug out and replug then hit the button and it goes on?

Out of the 100+ millions of iPhone, I'm sure there are many people that have that same problem.  If you do, you have a 1 year warranty... take it in before it runs out.

  • Is anyone having problems with the battery heating up and draining the power?  Mine has been doing this for about 2 months now.

Is anyone having problems with the battery heating up and draining the power?  Mine has been doing this for about 2 months now.

This is a major problem with Lollipop, but yo said it started 2 months ago.   Several people have fixed problem by removing FaceBook And Face book messenger and then re loading the apps again.   You might want to clear your cache before reloading.  Not sure this is your problem, but worth a try.  Good Luck

  • Is anyone having problems with the battery drains quickly and the iphone4 heats up in use and in charging after upgrading to 5.1.1?

Is anyone having problems with the battery drains quickly and the iphone4 heats up in use and in charging after upgrading to 5.1.1?

I have had the same problem but I seem to be getting somewhere to fixing it!!! My battery was going down at 20% an an hour now its 10% with constant use and 5 in standby !!! So improvement all round
First I did a restore then I drained the battery i started to charge it and when it came on I turned the phone off completely and let it charge to 100% I then left it for a couple of hours on charge at 100. I saw no improvement after 1st drain so I repeated the drain battery and charge steps again with the phone turned off when charging and have seen a very big improvement. I am going to do it again tonight and hopefully problem solved!!!!
The next issue is iMessage as that's playing up and wifi drop out
    Good luck

Is anyone having problems with the stock widget not updating?

Widgets unfortunately have gone by the wayside since Apple introduced the App Store a couple years ago.  No widget has received any official recognition in the Apple listing of Widgets since that time.  So it is entirely possible the widget has gotten redirected.   There are many other Apps for stocks.  I personally like the Nasdaq Quote website since it knows mutual funds and other markets as well.

What a vague and useless question.
A search of the forums would have revealed issues that others are having.
Why does it matter though?  Are you having issues?  If not.. why would you care?

  • I anyone having problems with the Sleep/Wake Button?? it doesn't do anything

I anyone having problems with the Sleep/Wake Button??
    It doesn't do anything

if you press it and it does nothing, it may be broken. did you drop it?
try pressing and holding the top power button and round home button on the front for 6-8 seconds and you should see an apple appear.. if you do see the apple, the power button worked.

    Hi Popalotofstyle,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  It may be worth trying a restart of your Apple TV to see if that allows the ABC app to load:

  • Anyone having problem with the iCloud lately

anyone having problems with iCloud sending from iPad to windows computer within the last week?

I am having similar problems.  iCloud has been working great between my Mac and iPad, but within the last week, when I save a Pages doc (via my Mac) onto iCloud, it doesn't show up for me to retrieve on my iPad.  All my settings seem to be correct, and there are still plenty of other docs on iCloud that I have previously saved, but these new ones will not show up.  I have plenty of space left, so that is not the issue...

I have had the iphone 5 for 4 weeks now and the battery life is very very poor at first i thought it must just be how it is....was dissapointed tho from fully charged to flat in 4 hours with little use or going to bed and waking up with the battery life going down 17%!!! but then 1 day i charged it fully and it never went down for ages, over 24 hours and it still had 25% this lasted for about 4 days then all of a sudden back to been rubish, i sent it in to apple who returened it without doing a single thing (apart from scratched an dented the bottom!!) it was exactly the same ..poor.....but then last night i charged it took it off charge at 6pm (english time) and now at 00.42am the day after it still has 11%....clearly ther is a fault somewere!!! has anyone had the same experience or got any tips for me please?

Yes a lot of people are having this issue it's from the ios 6 update. Some users are reporting battery drains a lot after updating their device
There have always been a lot of battery problems posted about in these forums following each and every iOS update.  Personally, I believe that the battery really isn't discharging any faster, it is just that the charging circuit is confused and needs to be reset. I always perform a setup as a new phone for major updates, for example iOS3 to iOS4, 4 to 5, 5 to 6, which should be a 'reset' for the charging system, but I do a simple update for point releases--6.0 to 6.0.1, etc.  I have never had a problem with battery performance when performing the full update as new, only when I did a 'normal' update for a point release.  If I perform an update with a restore from the old backup after a major update the battery problem did appear.
After every iOS point update I always do a full reset--home and on/off buttons held down until the Apple appears--three or four times over the course of a couple of days.  I allow the phone to fully charge overnight every night.
This has always resulted in 'normal' battery life after one or a few reset cycles.  By 'normal' I mean that a fully charged iPhone, with email and other notifications enabled and set to push, and no particular attention paid to battery conserving techniques, will discharge to about 89% over a 10 hour day.  If I make a few phone calls and surf the web a bit then the level has fell to 70% or so, but unless I heavily use my iPhone 5 it doesn't drop below that point.
Prior to performing the resets the charge level would sometimes drop into the 50's or 60's or even lower in a few hours without using the iPhone.  This problem 'scenario' has happened with every iPhone I have ever owned and I've owned all but the original iPhone.
As always, YMMV.  I make no claims as to its usability for anyone else.
