Anyone having system crashes with ios7?
Since installing IOS 7 on my 2nd generation 32 GB iPad (wireless), I gave been experiencing crashes. This never happened before with previous IOS systems.
I will be using an app when the screen freezes then goes blank and then I get the apple logo before the app reopens. I don't think this is a memory problem as I still have 2.5 GB free. Could this be a hardware problem? How would I check?
reset all settings
settings-general-reset-reset all settings
now reconnect to wifi
settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join
if issue persists back up and restore as new via iTunes

Yes, the volume on my iPhone 4s will max out without me touching any button or setting. When opening mail, for instance, the ringer icon will appear and the volume level goes to max volume - and I'm not touching the volume buttons. It seems to happen randomly, at least I can't identify a pattern, but thankfully it doesn't happen all the time, but at least once a day.

Is anyone having Mic issues with iPhone 5?
Is anyone having Mic issues with iPhone 5? Speakerphone works but not the mic, on phone calls and memos.
Took it to local Genius campus and after taking off the back screen and case, they blew air into the mica and it worked for about 20 mins.
I can't have a ready can of air around every time the mic goes out.
Anyone else had similar issues?I am having a similar problem. I had the iPhone 5 delivered yesterday. On most of the calls I tried, the person on the other end could hear me just fine on speakerphone, but not on the regular mic. It was garbled, or I would cut in and out. I could always hear the other person clearly.
I just got back from a Genius Bar appointment where they gave me an entirely new phone. The issue exists on this one also, though now it seems like the audio is more muffled than garbled or spotty. Again, speakerphone works, and I can hear the other person clearly.
I had originally restored backup from my 3GS, but before I went to the Genius Bar I restored to factory settings just to be sure it wasn't a software issue (it wasn't, apparently). I did not restore from the old phone for this new handset either.

Is anyone having a problem with iPhone 5 not backing up to iCloud. No problem at first now it says it will take 35 hrs, etc to back up.
Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.

I'm having the same issue as most of you on this forum. my current OS is 4.3.5 and after a factory reset, the camera started working fine, however, once i done the restore the camera reverted back to the same issue - "the shutter on the screen wont open, and the still/video switch just flashes" - what is more strange is, i have the HP home&biz app installed and this has a camera function and the camera seems to work fine with that, therefore suggesting there is nothing wrong with the hardware and this is a software issue. I'm currently awaiting a member of the Apple support team to call me about this, will keep you posted. BTW - someone suggested, going into Location Services and switching off the camera and apparantly, the issue was resolved for them, unfortunatly, this didn't work for me extremly odd issue indeed!

Is anyone having any problems with the ML Xcode installation crashing your computer?

Webcam Live Pro causes system crash with Windows XP Home
Ever since installing Webcam Live Pro I have been having random system restarts. This ONLY happens when the webcam is being used. It happens when using the Creative Webcam Center or another application. Sometimes the restart will happen after a few minutes, and other times an hour or more. I am running Windows XP sp2 with all patches, and there are no driver conflicts listed in Device Manager. I have the cam set at 60 hz.
Even though there are no listed driver conflicts in Device Manager, there clearly is a driver conflict that occurs from time to time. I have read of other people having this same problem on this forum with Webcam Live Pro. I am using the driver ...0 which is dated 0//2004, and the automatic update program on this web site says that I am using the latest driver. But in the download section of this web site, the latest driver is listed as .0.0.0 and dated November 9, 2004. The driver numbers or dates do not match, and the driver on the web seems to have an earlier number but a later date!?
Does anyone (especially a Creative tech support person who may be reading this post) have any idea what to do? The driver version is one issue. But the big issue is the system crashes.

CBSolution! I discovered the problem causing the system crash, and I think it is sufficiently interesting to note here so that others may benefit from what I discovered. First, there is no fundamental problem/conflict with the driver for Webcam Live Pro. The trouble in my instance is that I was running another program that utilized the web cam, and that program conflicted with the Webcam Live Pro program that was constantly running in the system tray. Basically, the program in the system tray is loaded with the set-up for Webcam Live Pro. It constantly monitors the computer system to see if the cam is connected to the computer. When it does this while another program is using the cam, the conflict occurs, causing the entire computer to reboot. The solution is to right mouse click the icon for Webcam Live Pro in the system tray, go to settings, and to remove the check that allows the program to check for the presence of the web cam. Just to be safe, I then also exited the Webcam Live Pro program from the system tray so that nothing from that program could interfere with my use of the webcam using another program.
The result is that the webcam is rock solid, with no system crashes. I have been running it nonstop for hours without a problem.

System crashing with 6GB RAM, fine with 4GB

windows 7 home premium 64 bit
MSI x58 platinum motherboard
nvidia GTX 260 graphics
750w power supply
got my system being fixed by a professional, but we're stuck right now trying to find a solution to my problem. The system is fine with 4GB in any slot, but when the third stick is put in, the system crashes.
I'll go into some more detail of my troubles, this should help in the solution.
system was built out of Fry's Electronics 2 years ago. From the moment that I took it home I was having this problem. I thought it might be a faulty RAM stick at the time, so I had them replaced, but to no avail. The soluton if I remember was to reformat. Everything was fine for 2 years.
last month I opened up the system and cleaned the dust out of the inside. I removed the RAM and the CPU fan. Hooked everything back up and the system starts crashing and rebooting like crazy, and there's the problem again. It would crash while it's booting up, while it's sitting at the desk top, while I'm on the internet, any time it wanted to crash, it would do so. Not only that, but my BIOS and graphics drivers were suddenly out of date for some reason. I keep my drivers up to date, so this was weird to me.

I can't provide you guys with anything, it's been with this guy for over a month. I've been running with 6GB for the past 2 years with no problems until I dusted out the inside of the case. Obviously it aggravated the problem I had two years ago.
i agree, maybe that wasn't the solution. it was after all 2 years ago and my memory was fuzzy. After a month and a half with this guy I got my comp back today. He reinstalled windows 7 and updated the BIOS. That helped out a lot, but it still froze twice, and reset it's self once with 6GB RAM in it. I took the 3rd RAM stick out, givign me 4GB, and noticed that my graphics drivers weren't updated yet, so maybe that was the reason for the crashes? I'm not so sure about that either though, because after I updated the GPU drivers it froze not too long after that. Maybe I needed to reboot for the drivers to take full effect? it didn't prompt me to restart, so I'm a little uncertain there.
I was thinking of trying it with 6GB RAM again, now that my graphics drivers are up to speed and the system has been rebooted. -
I notice that my new IPad (3rd generation) will not stay connected to the power cord at all, I'm not exagerating, if I plug it in and browse the Internet without fail it will become unplugged and I will have to push the plug back in (Ba-beep). Ive actually grown to despise that sound when you plug your iPhone or iPad in because it reminds me of how much money I spent on something that PHYSICALLY will not charge while I'm using it.
I know the problem with it holding a charge while in use, I get it, the screen is amazing and it takes a lot to run the display, however, it is unacceptable to me that I can't even keep the thing plugged in while I'm using it. I can not even leave it on my Cal King bed overnight because I will wake up in the morning to find that the plug has been jiggled loose in a corner, so it's still attached but not making a connection thus not being charged.
I love the 4GLTE from Verizon and I love the iPad, but I'm actually using my 1st generation IPad while I am at home so I can leave my new $900 iPad on a table to charge free of incident so I can use the 4G while I'm away from wifi during the day. I have been getting more upset about this because I can not even use the Griffin extended cord to charge the iPad and be far from the plug because only the original apple sync/charge cord will have a better shot at staying in. Absolutely none of my non apple cables will stay in the iPad 3 while having it in my hands.
The plug is at an angle, unlike the first iPad, not sure about the iPad 2. Please let me know if they have same issue.
If anyone else is having this problem with the Gen 3 iPad please let me know because I'm tempted to do something about it with apple and I'm hoping that I just for some reason have a bad cable receiver or something and maybe I can get a replacement and enjoy the iPad as I had expected to. There is no reason why I should be even using my first iPad and I have friends that want to buy it but I am not selling it because I'm unable to sell it because I can't handle the new iPad while it's plugged in, that is ridiculous if it's a common issue so please let me know!Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.

Yes, I am also having trouble with my windows 7n. I tried to install the download but it didn't have 32 bit for my computer and I don't think it will help me see my phone on my external devices. I can't transfer my photos. Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone having a problem with dull photos
I'm having a problem with dull photos on I Phone 5S. I believe it may be due to the case, Otterbox Defender. With case on photos are dulled out. Without case, no problem. I was surprised to see this issue isn't all over the web. Anyone else having this issue? What is a case that won't cause the problem?

Anyone having good luck with a G5 Dual 2.5 PPC?
I've been a Mac user for quite a long time going back to my SE30 and I can say that only one time before have I ever had this much trouble; (The first version of OSX).
I have performed every version of the install and the end result is always the same. I'm having severe issues with the Finder crashing and restarting itself. None of the Apple apps work without constantly crashing and me restarting them several times. FYI, I did download the combo 10.5.2 update and apply it myself and I have repaired permissions all along the way. I've even installed each update one at a time just to see if my issues were related to any particular update and it wasn't. I have since gone back to Tiger and my machine runs GREAT! I would really like to upgrade to Leopard without having to purchase a new computer.Apparently you didn't read my FAQ. RAM can go bad ANYTIME.
RAM errors can not be detected even given the age of the universe in testing time.
If they happen, then you know it is bad. It only takes one sequence of bad registers which you can't test for given the age of the universe to trip up RAM.
And it doesn't necessarily happen on every machine.
I'm really starting to believe that there is an issue with the Dual 2.5 G5/PPC and Leopard that hasn't been addressed yet.
If there were such issues, they would have appeared in testing the computer itself. Apple said all G5s and all G4s of 867 Mhz or faster are supported.
Issues that they can't address are third party issues, as those would also take longer than the age of the universe to test every combination of possible factors.
The fact you had this on an erase and install suggests something is wrong with the hardware of your machine that was undetectable under normal tests.
Only replacing the hardware of the machine (the RAM being the easiest to do since all of it is under lifetime warranty from most manufacturers, and you can get identical spec from numerous manufacturers) will you eliminate the potential problems you are seeing. And those problems you have witnessed are identical to those seen by people who have had issues with RAM.

Entire System Crashes With iTunes
I've acer with Windows 7 and entire system crashes while i use ITunes. Had latest update, but to be sure went back to download 64 bit. Still crashed so uninstalled in case other version partially installed and then re-installed 64 bit. Still crashes.

Since the last time we spoke, iTunes 10.1.0.56 was released. The primary bug fix was for the CoreAudioToolbox.dll related "iTunes has stopped working" messages, but I figure it's probably worth a check with your bsod too.
I don't know if it shows up for people in their Apple Software Update (It didn't for me yesterday when I checked). So get it from the installer available from:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
