Anyone having trouble getting there mail on the iphone

have not been able to connect with any of my e-mail accounts on the iphone 4s this morning is anyone else having trouble

Was it working before? What type of email accounts?

    HI,
    The Apple IDs from @mac.com and @me.com (Older MobileMe and more recent iCloud Names) are also Valid AIM Screen names.
    Any other sort of Apple ID is not a Valid AIM Name.
    A Google ID that is associated with Google Mail Account (And has "Talk" enable on your Google Settings) can be used in iChat as  Jabber Name/ID.  (Google Run  Jabber server).
    Jabber and AIM are different IM Services and it is not easy or straight forward to add Buddies from one Service to the Buddy List of another.  (As A Starting point consider it "impossible")
    iChat 4 and 5 have links to the registration page of @Mac.com here with a "Get an iChat Account" button in the add (Account) screen  (You select @mac.com or MobileMe and then press the Button - Choosing AIM and then pressing the button used to lead to the AIM registration page but AIM moved their page).
    Apple IDs can be any valid email (or an @mac.com or iCloud registration)
    Therefore you could make a Google ID into an Apple ID.
    However this will not be a valid AIM Screen Name the way @mac.com or MobileMe/iCloud ones are.

  • I am having trouble getting my photos from my iPhone to my PC.

    I am having trouble getting my photos from my iPhone to my PC. My iPhone no longer shows up in my Windows Explorer, and I can't get them from iTunes or iCloud either. The Photo Stream folder is empty. Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks Razmee. Actually the phone is synching, but only apps and music. There's no way I can find to get my photos through iTunes. When I go to the photos option in iTunes, I can only synch the photos from my computer to the iPhone and not vice versa (which I don't understand why it would ever be necessary to move photos from the computer to the phone, but oh well). I use to get my photos by accessing the phone itself from Windows Explorer, but now the phone won't appear in Explorer for some reason. I also tried connecting from the Photo Stream folder on my PC, but it was still empty even after it seemingly connected. I just want to move my photos to my PC without having to email each one individually.

    Anyone having trouble with the sounds on your iPad since the recent update this morning. Do you know had to fix it? 

    First try a Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
    If no joy... Try a Restore...
    1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
    2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
    I know it is frustrating when you cannot use the Messages application as you would expect. The first thing I would suggest would be to open the multitasking screen and quit the Messages app. After It quits, relaunch it fresh and test. If the Messages application is still having the same performance issues, try restarting the iPhone. Those steps and others can be found in the following article.

  • Anyone having trouble with iCloud mail?

    I noticed I couldn't connect to mail from my iPad. Then I checked my iPhone with the same result. Then I tried connecting from my iMac. Still couldn't connect. Then I went to iCloud.com. I could get to contacts and calendar, but not mail. First noticed about three hours ago, but the problem is still there. Anybody else?

    When I had no new mail, and the mail in my outbox hadn't gone out I called Apple Care. Naturally when I was on the the phone with them, the web site let me get to mail, and once I manually took my iCloud mailbox online everything was working.
    Odd that so few people appear to have been affected. The first thing I did this morning was to check some of the Apple news sites to see the normal screams of outrage and found nothing.
    But I appear to be back in business now. Hope you are, too. But still sorry to say that I was glad to hear that it wasn't my imagination.

    I just updated my apple tv to 5.2 and now I experience freezing of the video after awhile. I can watch streaming content and then the video will stop but audio continues. I'm using an imac with mountain lion and i use a dual band n router.

    The following Knowledge Base article, although written for iPhone is applicable for troubleshooting issues with the speaker on your iPad as well:
    iPhone: No sound or distorted sound from speaker

    Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
    Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
    If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
    Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
    If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
    If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
    Try turning off Bluetooth.
    If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
    Restart the iPhone.
    If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.

    In the iPhone profile, have you defined the iPhone browser? If not, the profile is relying on the resolution and that is what could be throwing it.

  • Anyone having crackle or sizzle noise from the iPhone 4S ear speaker?

    Anyone else getting a hissing or crackling noise during phone calls?  It happens in doors, outdoors, and is independent of hand position.  Sounds like electrical noise.  This is my second brand new 4S to do it.
    Any solutions besides hard and soft resets or restores?  Tried that already.

    JosephIt sounds like something is interfering with your conversations, a crackling noise like that isn’t normal at all. Testing without a case could help.

  • Having trouble getting mac mail thru a 3rd party domiane

    I have had trouble sending emails to and receiving e mails from a third party system that handles my mail in my marketing business. I have no trouble with my yahoo email, and gmail works great but somehow mac mail doesnt get thru to or from. As well when I put a url in an email using mac the email gets lost in cyber space. Any thoughts?
    I am thinking that the servers processing the mac email are stopping mac mail as well as mac mail with a url attached.

    Have you verified your Account Preferences with this third-party? What Outgoing Mail Server are you using when you try to send email through that domain? It's possible the third-party is blocking all mail from that domain, and won't let any outgoing mail to you through their servers, too. You'd need to call them to find out for certain.
    If you call them, verify with them that you have all the proper settings in the preferences for that account in Mail, then try sending a test message to them while you're on the phone and see if they get it. If not, and it doesn't bounce back to you, it's probably something on their end.

    Instead of using Safari to use mail, try using the built in Mail app. To access your AOL account, go to Settings->Mail->AOL.
    That is, if you are using Safari to access AOL.

    Thanks for the reply but I would think they would send a email letting us know that you would have to have the plus account. Talked to yahoo customer service on Twitter and they didn't mention this. They took my info and said they would be in touch. Last time it took them a couple of days to fix but who knows.
