Anyone having trouble viewing video taken with my iPhone 4s on my pc.
The video looks fine on my phone then when I go to view it on my computer it lags and skips around, is it just that my computer is having a hard time supporting the QuickTime HD video?
You should be importing these to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.

I am having trouble viewing videos taken with my iPhone 4s on my Windows laptop. Here are my versions:
Windows 7
IOS 6.1.3
iTunes 11.0.3.0.42
Quicktime 7.7.4
The videos I am unable to play have been copied from my iPhone cache folder into another folder. The first issue I noticed was the thumbnail for the videos are rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise in both folders. The videos were taken with the camera in the portrait position, as opposed to the camera being held sideways or the landscape position.
I tried to play the videos using iTunes and an error saying " iTunes has stopped working. Checking for a solution". Then I get, "iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Sadly, no solution has been sent to me.
If I try to use QuickTime, the videos "attempt" to play but the audio skips and locks or the video skips and locks. Eventually, the video completely stops. Also, there is a green bar on the left of the screen the runs from top to bottom. This bar is not visible in any other views of the videos.
If I try to use Windows Media Player, the videos play great, except they are rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise, like the thumbnails.
All of the videos still play perfectly on my iPhone 4s.

I'm having problems uploading video taken with my iPhone 4 to Photobucket. FB will not accept the file extension which is ex. IMG_423. They will play on my computer and will upload to Facebook. Why is the phone taking video with this file instead of something like .mov or mp4. How can I change the extension after the fact and avoid it in the future?
You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.

How can I transfer video taken with my iPhone to my iPad WITHOUT using a computer or iTunes? I'm going to Europe for a month and want to use my iPhone to take pics and video, then come back to the hotel room and use my iPad to edit/store each evening. I don't want to use my iPad to take the video...too large/bulky. And I WON'T have a computer with me...I purchased the iPad to take with me so I could use the RDC to my home computer and avoid taking my computer at all. Is this possible?
here is a cheaper solution than camera kit and a lot easier if you have WIFI available.
I use the PhotoSync APP (I think its a $1.99) will transfer videos and photos over WIFI to any other IOS device or even PC/MAC. Great app since I like doing video and photos on my IPHONE and transfer to IPAD2 without synching through computer or doing cloud based storage.
You can even send photos/videos from your MAC/PC to your IOS devices that way too. Makes it so much easier.

I recently got a MacBook Pro and want to burn my videos, taken with my iPhone, to DVD. What is the easiest way for me to accomplish this? I've been told I need to download a DVD creator/burner. I've downloaded 3 different free versions, but none of them seem to recognize the video files from my iPhone. I don't need anything fancy or complicated. I just want a way to store these vidoes and be able to play them on our DVD player. Help!
Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder on your PC to /Music/ on your Mac.
Then delete what you don't want.
You will need to authorize yrou computer for the iTunes account yoru mother has.
You should create & use your own iTunes account for any more purchases.
You don't need to export anything and definitely don't need to (and shouldn't) convert anything. -

Why can't we see the details of a picture or video taken with our iphone or Ipad? Detail like when it was taken the picture or when the movie was filmed. I think that this very very important for our memories.
Yes, I know that, but it was easier to see it on the Iphone self, like the other company phones. The name of the picture taken should be the date when it was taken.

When I import videos taken with my iPhone 4S to my Windows PC, some of the landscape videos are upside down and all of the portrait videos are rotated 90 degrees. It makes a difference depending on what position I hold the Iphone when taking videos. Help!!!!
Sometimes syncing will have problems with very large video files like this. I'm not sure you will be able to overcome this, but if the videos are important enough you may consider purchasing 3rd party software such as Touch Copy to transfer them.

I'm having trouble viewing video's on my macbook.

I have a macbook and for some reason, I've been having trouble viewing online video's. And it happens with all sites, youtube, dog world, ect.
The video stops and has that circle in the center, then plays a little more, then stops again. I have version 10.6.8. I don't believe it is my internet connection, i can watch video's on my ipad.

Fairview Heights, ILTry playing at a lower resolution if that option is available (for example, in youtube the controls are in the lower right of the video window). Some sites, particularly youtube, seem to have problems playing some (not all) videos at 720p and 1080p.

Why does iMovie not recognize video taken with my iPhone that is in Aperture
Since "upgrading" (not sure that is a good term for this project) to Lion, I am unable to see or import .mov files taken with my iPhone, on a Mac using Aperture and iMovie. I uninstalled 3ivX and now can see them in iPhoto and Aperture but when I try to import them into iMovie you cannot see them in the media browser.
You have to import the movie into iTunes via iOS file sharing, then drag the movie from the file sharing window in iTunes to the desktop, then you can import the movie into iMovie. Here are the details.

Unable to move videos taken with the iPhone from the phone to PC
I am having difficulty moving videos from the iPhone to my PC. To be clear, I am talking about videos that were taken using the phone, _NOT videos downloaded to the phone_. I'm on a PC, I am using Scanner and Camera Wizard. I've been able to move videos to my PC in the past with no trouble. Now, the wizard gets to 100% progress, sits there for a full minute or more, then pops up a message saying it could not be copied. I've repeated the process each time getting the same results. This seems to have started after the last OS update. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am having a similar issue with my Mom's iPhone 4. She has a PC. I was able to move the files off the iphone (dragging and dropping them from the folder to the file of photos). However, the issue now is to sync the photos and video (shot from the iphone) from the PC back to the iphone. It says that there isn't enough room to copy the files. There aren't that many photos/videos. When I uncheck the "include videos" it won't let me sync.

I can see all photos taken with my 4s in Iphoto easily. But where do the videos that I took go?

Videos are not currently part of photo stream. You might find some third-party solutions useful, such as "video stream for ICloud", which syncs your video between your iOS devices and allows you to publish a URL, so that you can download it to your Mac. -
When I take a video with my iPhone 5, it plays back great on my phone. However, when I upload to my computer it plays back extremely slow, or the image freezes while the audio keeps going. I've tried Windows Media Player, Quicktime, VLC media player, and they are all updated. So is my computer software. I never had this problem with my previous iPhone 3Gs. This is very annoying, help!!

I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????

I'm told it's a "compatibility issue", but that seems ridiculous and completely neglegent, I have to say. You would think they would have tackled this issue by now?
I transfer photos from my iphone to my PC, and the majority of them are sideways, some even upside down. The videos are almost all that way, as well. I used to just select the pictures, right click, and choose "rotate clockwise", but with the 4s that doesn't even work anymore.
So now I have to load each picture into a photo editor and rotate each picture individuallly. That just seems RIDICULOUS. I mean, really. And I've yet to come across a way to fix the videos.
I take pictures and videos with my iPhone for the convenience. But to make them usable, it takes a lot of extra work, which makes it NOT convenient anymore. (And it still doesn't fix the problem with the videos!)
I can't believe this is a problem Apple hasn't fixed yet.The camera roll should be seen just like any other digital camera when connected to your computer. Anything else had to come from your computer to begin with and can not be transferred without purchasing 3rd party software or individually saving them to the camera roll, emailing them, or otherwise finding another way to transfer them.
You do have iTunes installed on the computer, right? The drivers required are included in the iTunes install package.
