Anyone having "URL not valid" error from Live Monitor?

I sent a support email to MSI, but they are on vacation till the 5th.  I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue.  Below is the message to MSI support:
Quote
MSI Live Monitor has started to behave strangely.  Yesterday I clicked auto-search and the dialog box came up as normal, I clicked "next," and an error message came up with the heading "LMonitor" and "The url is invalid."  So, I closed it and restarted Live Monitor.  I tried it again and received the same error message.  I uninstalled Live Monitor, (I didn't delete a file Windows stated as shared) and downloaded Live Monitor from the website.  Installed Live Monitor, started it from the installation, and ran auto search. It worked this time. But, I then tried it again, and again, the same error message occured.  I rebooted, and tried auto-serch again--once again, the error message occurred.  Anyway, prior to yesterday it seemed to be working fine. I did a second uninstall, and re-install. Again, it worked one time and the second time the error message occurred

CCB33,
I haven't received a response yet, but MSI has only been back since the 6th,  and after that kind of time out I bet they have a lot of emails to answer.  Funny thing about your post on this thread.  Just before I read it, I tried MSI Live Monitor and had the same thing ocurr. So, I uninstalled it, reinstalled it and it worked the first time.  I then crossed my fingers and toes, exited the program, restarted the program, tried auto-search, and IT WORKED!  No error message appeared.  I exited again, and restarted the program -- it worked again. Woohoo! This time after exiting the result window and the program still running, I then tried the auto-search which worked yet again.  It seems it's functioning now.  If I were you I'd uninstall the program and reinstall it again(I downloaded it from the MSI website ( http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_liveupdate.php ).  I'll try it again tomorrow and see if it still works.
Edit: This morning, USA eastern time, I tried it and it worked.  This afternoon I don't get the error but a message stating the server may be busy or no internet connectio. Seems to be working fine now.

  • URL not valid error message

    I have been successfully downloading podcasts for several months now and just a few days ago I clicked on "update" to get my daily dose of podcasts and each one gave me an "!". When I clicked there to see what the problem was, I got the "invalid URL" message. It makes no sense that ALL (a dozen or more) podcasts I get would suddenly have bad URL's and as I verified them, they were not bad. So what's the problem? I can't figure it out. Please help if you can. And thanks.

    I believe I fixed this problem in my iTunes. I literally had to reset all my podcast subscriptions. First checked all the URL's by clicking on the (I) button to the right of the podcast listing. Then I did a search on Google for the podcast and found it and rather than subscribing, I cut and pasted the correct URL for RSS feed into the "Open Stream" window that you can get to through the Advanced menu. Then I ubsubscribed to the current version of the same podcast and downloaded what I wanted. That seems to be working so far in terms of updating them. No "!" marks! Good luck.

  • Crystal report for visual studio 2010 data source object is not valid error

    Hello,
    I receive an "data source object is not valid" error when I want to print one CR document after setting an ADODB.Recordset on SetDataSource method of my report.
    On my developer station, this operation works without problem but on client station, I get this error.
    The redistributable package for client is installed on client side (CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_1.msi).
    Can someone help me?
    Thank you.

    Thank's for your answers
    Dim rsPkLst As ADODB.Recordset = Nothing
    Dim report As New crPickingList
    ' Fill ADODB.Recordset with SQL Statment
    If rsPkLst.RecordCount > 0 Then
          report.SetDataSource(rsPkLst) ' Error : The data source object is invalid
    EndIf
    This error appears during  "report.SetDataSource(rsPkLst)" instruction.
    ADODB drivers are already installed and my ADODB.Recordset is filled with good records.
    This project is an updated project from Visual Studio 2003 to Visual studio 2010 and the old version was running fine.
    Developer and client station runs under Windows XP SP3.
    On developer side I install CRforVS_13_0_1 (BuildVersion=13.0.1.220.Cortez_CR4VS).
    On client side I install CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_1.msi.
    Both stations use Microsoft .Net Framework 4.
    Move to ADO.NET is a solution but, for the moment, I do not have the time to change all applications from my company.
    (I get this error from all application updated from VS 2003 to VS 2010 developed since 2005)

  • How to deal with validation errors from DAO layer.

    I have been pondering on how to deal with validation errors from DAO layer.
    Lets say you have a DAO that can save a car object. A car has a year, make, model, vin and so on. During the save operation of this DAO, it validates the car attributes to see if they pass some business rules. If it does not it throws some validation exception that contains all the validation errors. These validation errors know nothing about jsf or my components it just knows what attributes on the object are invalid and why.
    If I just want to show those errors at the top of the page that would be no problem I could just create some FacesMessage objects and add them to the FacesContext messages. But if the DAO layer is telling me that the make attribute is invalid it would be nice to map it to the make field on the screen. I am wondering if any of you have tackled this problem or have some ideas on how to tackle it?
    Brian

    Let it throw an exception with a self explaining message, then catch it and embed that message in a FacesMessage.
    Or let it throw more specific exception types (InvalidCarMakeException extends CarDAOException and so on) and let JSF handle it with own FacesMessage message.

  • Object in URL not valid

    Hello,
    I hope that someone can help me with my problem:
    I have a BSP-Application where I have attachments.
    and if I want to show one attachment i most of the time get the error object... in URL not valid.
    For example: BSP Exception: Das Objekt 7D49254945056D07E100000080010A92 in der URL /sap(bD1kZSZjPTAzMw==)/bc/bsp/sap/zrdv_benuantr/7D49254945056D07E100000080010A92 ist nicht gültig.
    But sometimes (after 10-15 attempts) it works...
    The attachments are Excel-Sheets or Word-Dokuments.

      endif.
    Thanks for your help
    Helmut

    Hi,
    I guess you will find the entry everytime in the server cache, but only in one of the four application servers. So your applications works only in the few cases that the request to the URL is routed to the server where the cache-entry exists.
    I don't know if there is a possibility to share the cache between the application servers. You may find further informations in SAP Help: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/d7/446f3b19d99b0de10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
    Instead of server cache you can also use the response object to provide the attachment:
    * set the mime-type and file size in the response
              runtime->server->response->set_header_field(
                name  = 'Content-Type'
                value = value_mime_type ).
              runtime->server->response->set_header_field(
                name  = 'Content-Length'
                value = value_length ).
              runtime->server->response->delete_header_field(
                name = 'Cache-Control' ).
              runtime->server->response->delete_header_field(
                name = 'Expires' ).
    *         set response data to be the file content
                concatenate 'attachment; filename=' attachment-name into value.
                runtime->server->response->set_header_field(
                                 name  = 'content-disposition'
                                 value = value ).
                runtime->server->response->set_data( hex_content ).
              navigation->response_complete( ).

  • "Entitlements are not valid" error message when trying to sync ipa file from iTunes to iPad

    Is anyone else getting this error message, "Entitlements are not valid",  when trying to sync .ipa file from iTunes to iPad?
    The issue I'm having is getting the ipa file that was built by the 'Adobe Flash Packager for Iphone' installed into my iPad.
    So, I have a swf file that works and was able to publish it into the Android Market.  I then compiled and build the same flash project with the Packager for Iphone into an .ipa file.  But when I try and install this .ipa file into my iPad to do my testings, i'm getting the error message.
    I would like to test my ipa file in my iPad device before submitting it to the Apple Store.
    Any help would be appreciated. thank you.

    Developing for iphone can be amazingly complicated and frustrating.  (even before you start coding).  The process of having to create a Certificate, to approving the Certificate, to Assigning the deviceIDs to the certificate, to creating the AppIDs, to creating the provisioning profiles and then creating the .p12 file... is just too tedious.
    I solved the problem of the "Entitlements are not valid".   The AppID i had set in the iPhone Developer Portal did not match that of the AppID i had set in the Adobe Flash CS5 -> Publish Settings.  (ie. com.yourdomainname.yourappname).  After I re-entered my AppID and compile, i was able to sync the .ipa file into my ipad.
    I wish the error message had been a little more descriptive.  Could have saved me a whole day.
    I hope this helps others.  But my guess is, if you don't set the 40 character device ID correctly, or the email in the signingcertificate correctly, you'll get this same generic error message.

  • URL not found error while loading photo on Linux

    Hi,
    I have a AIR 2.0 appliaction which works perfectly well on Windows but while I run it on Linux Loader object can't load any photo. I tried many path variations but I always get Error #2035: URL Not Found.
    Here's how I load a photo (with hard coded URL)
    _imageLoader.load(new URLRequest("/home/piotr/105755/damage_photos/17.jpg"));
    I'm sure that "/home/piotr/105755/damage_photos/" path is correct. I pasted it to files explorer address text input and expected directory was opend. I'm also sure that 17.jpg file exists in that directory.
    When I trace IOError message it says: Error #2035: URL Not Found. URL: app:/home/piotr/105755/damage_photos/17.jpg
    My questions are:
    What "app:" does in my URL... can it cause the problem? If yes, how can I get rid of it?
    Is there anything specific about UNIX systems and Loader that should I know about?
    How can I load file from hard drive other way than by Loader object?
    I use AIR 2.0 SKD, Flex 4.5 SKD and Ubuntu 10.04. Could anyone help me, please?

    Hi,
    Just a test, can you try to do this:
    var f:File = new File(File.userDirectory.nativePath+File.separator+"105755"+File.separator+"damage_photos" +File.separator+"17.jpg");
    _imageLoader.load(new URLRequest(f.url));

    I'm a newbie to Oracle SOA. So perhaps I am missing the obvious. But I haven't read much in the documentation specifically about using the XSD validation option on the mediator and have seen nothing specifically about catching this sort of exception in the fault policy (apart from the faults I already have in my policy). Can anyone suggest what I am doing incorrectly here or perhaps whether what I am attempting to do is not possible? Thanks.
    - Cris

    Has anyone got it working yet?
    In my case, I have the following sequence:
    FileAdapter -> Mediator1 -> Mediator2->DB Adapter
    I am deliberately introducing validation error in File. Isn't it correct to assume Fault framework would get triggered at Mediator1 level since we are invoking FileAdapter service?
    I am getting a strange behaviour. If I enable XSD validation at Mediator1 level, process is Faulted with no re-try option. However, if I enable XSD validation ONLY at Mediator2 level, I get Recoverable fault. There seems to be some disconnect between documentation and reality. I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 version and SOA Suite 11g.
    Thanks,
    Amjad.

  • Shared Datasource Is Not Valid Error

    Using Reporting Services (SQL Server 2008 R2), I have a VS SSRS project with 23 reports, all running off the same Shared Data Source.  They all execute in VS.  I have deployed the datasource, datasets & reports to server.  From the Report
    Manager, I can execute all reports except 4, which have the same error:
    The report server cannot process the report or shared dataset. The shared data source '22d600c2-a3d5-4178-8a39-d05361607ebd' for the report server or SharePoint site is not valid. Browse to the server or site and select a shared data source. (rsInvalidDataSourceReference)
    I have tried the following, without success:
    1)verified that the datasource exists in the Data Sources folder, and is Enabled
    2) Checked and reset the Shared Datasource to point to the deployed datasource in the Data Sources folder
    3) Recreated & redeployed the datasource
    4) Deleted the 4 reports on the server and re-deployed
    5) Deleted the reports, used Upload instead of Deploy, then set the Shared Datasource to point to the one on the server
    6) Verified that the Link column in ReportServer.DataSource is NOT NULL.  Actually have the same Link as the other 19 reports.  Verified that the GUID in the LinkID exists in Catalog table and is the id for the Datasource.
    No matter what I have tried, for some reason, the GUID in these failing reports appear to get set to '22d600c2-a3d5-4178-8a39-d05361607ebd', which does not exist in Catalog table.  The other reports never fail, these reports never execute.  Anyone
    have any ideas?
    Victor

    As I recall, I went into the Report server db and updated the Catalog table.  Open the table and you'll find your reports listed with a link to their datasource (in the DataSource table).  I found the 4 reports that failed had a different value
    in the LinkID column than the reports that executed, even though they use the same shared datasource.
    So I copied the good LinkID value (a GUID) into the 4 reports that failed, and then they ran fine.    For some unknown reason, there was an invalid value stuck in the LinkID column which pointed to a datasource that really did not exist.
    Go figure.

  • Specified cast is not valid errors

    Hi all
    Sometimes, but not always, I'm finding that the Layer.Add, Cell.GlueTo and Window.Select methods throw errors similar to:
    Specified cast is not valid at System.StubHelpers.InterfaceMarshaler.ConvertToNative(Object objSrc, IntPtr itfMT, IntPtr classMT,
    Int32 flags) at Microsoft.Office.Interop.Visio.IVLayer.Add(Shape SheetObject, Int16 fPresMems)
    I'm using VB2010, Visio 2007 and currently testing on Windows XP 32 bit. The program is a stand-alone .exe program using Visio via .NET interop. The same program, with the same data can run several times without problem and then once this error
    has been thrown, the same error will be thrown every time until the Visio file is closed and re-opened.
    This VB2010 code was derived from a VB6 program which has been working fine for 2,000+ users over a period of about 15 years.
    Unfortunately I've not been able to replicate these problems in a small test program which is making the debugging process rather tedious and it's another aspect of this problem which is worrying and confusing me.
    The program is adding a 100 or so shapes from a stencil and gluing lines between them. I've tried playing with the settings of such properties as DeferRecalc, EventsEnabled, InhibitSelectChange, LiveDynamics, ShowChanges and UndoEnabled as I thought
    Visio might be having a problem updating the screen or allocating memory to the undo manager or something. I've also tried Application.DoEvents.
    I've re-written some of my code to avoid using Window.Select which I was using to select shapes to create groups. I guess I could also re-write the code to avoid using GlueTo, but I don't think I can always avoid using Layer.Add.
    Any thoughts or comments would be much appreciated.
    Best regards
    Roger Billsdon

    Hi Paul
    Many thanks for your reply and I hope all is well with you.
    I spent quite a lot of time trying to replicate the problem in a small test program created from scratch. All the offending methods (Window.Select, Layer.Add and Cell.GlueTo) worked fine in the test program, as indeed they often do in my main program.
    I carefully compared all the project references and everything else I could think of in both the test and my main program. I added loops in the test program so that it added many shapes, etc in an attempt to create some stress on the Visio UI, Undo manager,
    etc. Not being able to replicate the problem in a small test program is one aspect of this problem that is worrying and confusing me.
    The main program is quite large (I guess about 60,000 lines of code) and contains code for many other functions. An alternative approach would be for me to take a copy of the main program and try chopping chunks out to degenerate
    it into a small test program. However, at present I have a looming project deadline so I'm now putting my effort into recoding to eliminate the Window.Select, Cell.GlueTo and, where possible, Layer.Add method calls. Fortunately Visio provides alternatives
    which seem to be working. For example, rather than Cell.GlueTo I'm setting the relevant cell formulae and instead of Window.Select to form group, I'm creating a shape, converting it into a group and then dropping the other shapes into this group.
    Back in my VB6 programs I had some problems with select and group so I think this conversion is worthwhile, but I don't recall having had any problems with Cell.GlueTo or Layer.Add. Because I don't understand what's causing the problem I'm concerned that this
    re-coding work is just fixing the symptoms without actually getting at the root cause.
    In general I am finding rather more problems and performance issues with VB.NET Visio programs than I did over all the years I used VB3 and VB6 to program Visio.
    Best regards
    Roger

  • Printing user validation errors from .php file back onto a form

    Hey all. I have written a simple contact form with the extention .php. It includes the php validation and the form inputs on one page. If the input does not validate, a warning in red is printed at the top of the form after the user pushes submit. When I cut and paste the php validation code into a seperate file, the validation errors print on a blank screen. What I want is to have the same results with a seperate php file as I do when I include the php code on the form. (print errors from the seperate php validation file back onto the form).  Thanks for taking a look

    You want the form to submit its results to a separate file which processes the data.  If this separate file finds errors, you want it to return control to the form page which would a) display the error messages, and b) populate the fields with the data entered?
    If that's the case, then the processing file would have to send the errors and the data back to the form page either as a) URL variables, b) a cookie, or c) entries in a database.
    Does that help?

  • File not found error from scheduler

    Hi,
            We have a scheduler file with .cfa extension  in the cf scheduler  which trigger some mails to certain recipients on execution.
    At the bottom option fo the scheduled task, we have checked the option to 'save output to file' and has given the file
    path. On direct execution of the given url, the  file is executed successfully and mails are fired.
    But while trying to execute the same via scheduler it is not firing the mails. On investigation of the output file,
    found the error message 'File not found'.
    Is it possible that the file get  executed when directly browsing the url and shows 'file not found' error
    while executing via cf scheduler?(CF 8 is used.)

    To be more specific,
    the url format given in the cf admin scheduler is like this:
    "http://www.domainname.com/myfolder/myfile.cfa"
    A file path to log the output is also given to publish.
    If we copy the above url to a browser and execute, the file gets executed and mails are fired.
    If we set the interval or run the scheduler from the administrator,mails are not sent.On examination of log file given in the scheduler section, it is
    showing error '/myfolder/myfile.cfa' file not found.

  • "License Not Valid" Error on BOE XI 3.1 for Web-Intelligence

    Hey Everyone,
    This has been going on for sometime now. I downloaded the trial version ( BOE ) and installed the temSporary key in it. Now when I go to Infoview it doesn't show the option for Web-Intelligence document. So I went over to Rich Client and tried to log in. Now it gives me the error "License not Valid".
    The weird part is I can log into the Designer, DeskI , CMC , and it works perfectly, the only problems I'm getting are in WebI. I've tried doing a clean sweep and still it doesn't work. Any ideas on how to fix this?
    Thanks

    Can you run the following query in Query Builder and check whether SI_ENABLE_WEBI is true ?
    SELECT SI_SYSTEM_INFO FROM CI_SYSTEMOBJECTS WHERE SI_ID = 4
    Also, have you tried using a different temporary key?
