Hi SAP expert,
Anyone heard & experience implementing UFIDA NC before?? It is one of well-known ERP in China . Just wondering whether you can help/ comment for these areas:
1. UFIDA vs SAP- which module that UFIDA outperfrom & more user friendly than SAP? )
2. Interface UFIDA and SAP. How hard it will be as our customer keen to implement CMMS, HR and inventory management in UFIDA, while the rest in SAP, esp FI/CO??? will that possible??
3, How reliable of UFIDA ERP software/ company itself in term of Stability, Maintainance and Support after sales??
4. Any successful site that implement UFIDA and SAP at the same time??
5. Any link that have more info or white paper for UFIDA besides the company website??

Sounds like someone is doing some funny business. The successor to POSReady 7 is Windows Embedded 8.x Industry, which comes in two flavors - Pro and Enterprise.

Has anyone heard about Windows Embedded POSReady 7 Pro? We manufacture ATMs and were forced to switch from Windows Embedded POSReady 7 to Windows 7 Professional FES last year due to changes in the additional terms (ATs) which stated that
POSReady 7 (without the "Pro"-suffix) must not be used with ATMs.
Since then we started implementing OA 2.1, for being able to activate our machines automatically and had to inform all our customers that we now have to buy more expensive licenses with reduced functionality (no BitLocker in Win7Prof, no Embedded Enabling
Features, no LP support, etc.).
Last week I found a very interesting EULA on MyOEM.microsoft.com for the new OS-variant "Windows Embedded POSReady 7 Pro", which suddenly is allowed on ATMs explicitly:

Our distributor supported us and already found the ATs for Windows Embedded POSReady 7 Pro, but was also surprised that Microsoft introduced this new variant.
Does anybody know more about it?
Where can we (indirect embedded OEM, who purchases through distribution) get such relevant information earlier? ( The only source of information I know is the MyOEM-portal) And why did Microsoft release the new variant now?

has anyone had anything to do with hotspot shield and is it safe

It's a public VPN service. The point is to prevent other people at a hotspot from seeing your network traffic. It will do that, but the people who run the VPN server will see all the traffic, and moreover they will know your identity. How much do you trust them?
With or without a VPN, the traffic all ends up on the open Internet eventually.
If you connect only to secure websites (such as this one) and other secure services, the content of your network traffic is protected anyway.

I have set up Raid 0 on the Via controller and lost my array 5 times, this was on the Nforce150 and the Asus K8V and the MSI. No more VIA SATA for me. Anyway use the Promise controller its faster than the Via, and has no issues.

Anyone heard of static Constructor? Pure Concept Question

Hi All,
I guess this is a little obscure but let me ask this anyway.
Has anyone heard about a "static constructor"? No I am not talking about a static block in your code. I am talking about a static method which will be called every time you make a static call on a particular class. Just like the constructor gets called every time you create an Object. The difference will be that the static code will be executed only once while the static constructor will be called every time you call a static method.
My question: Do you see a need, from the experience you have got, about such a construct being a feature of a language? I was talking to some people of a very well known company - who were telling me about this special feature - as they put it - being part of their Proprietary language. They couldn't convince me as to why this "special" feature was required. I seek help from the Community to help me think about this. I tried seeking an answer to this question on the net but to no avail.
I for one, am not going to stop my quest after posting here - but I would be grateful if any of you could help me.

javax.pert : No. They tried to tell me things like initializing static objects which I could have as well done in a common method which I call in the start of every static method. Basically they could not convince me about the use of a static constructor. May be they did not know too well why it was put in the first place. Because I was talking to programmers rather than Designers. But I did not want to stop at that. I wanted to tickle my gray cells and yours to find out why would someone put this as part of a language? I agree with most of your posts but instead of telling me that this is not going to be very useful ( which I already thought of), I would appreciate if you can help me think Why would someone have put it at all. You see what I am saying?

javax.pert: Yup. I am aware and use static factory methods. But this is a little different. This is called automatically by the VM - just like a normal constructor - whenever a static method is called.

javax.pert: True. I agree with you about this being a wrapper for security purposes. Maybe this is what they thought of. One reason I see is that because they expose the APIs to third party vendors. These APIs can talk, by extending certain objects, to the sensitive areas of the database. I guess this could be one of the reasons. I will share it once I know more about it.

Has anyone heard anything about 2.0.1?

I've read some reports that the folks from BGR claim to have found Apache server logs making reference to 2.0.1 but not much else. Has anyone heard anything more definitive on the topic?

Likewise, no problems with 2.0. Yes, there are a lot of posts about problems. There are a lot of sick people in hospitals, also. That doesn't mean that the entire population is sick. If more than even a tiny percentage of the 6 million iPhone users had problems with their phones these boards would shut down from overload.
This is not to say there are no real problems, but that it is a small minority that has them. People with no problems don't go to message boards just to say "I have no problems".
I'm not saying the problems aren't real, but rather than wait for Apple to produce a 2.0.1 that might or might not fix the specific problem you are having try to do a little troubleshooting. Even it it's an Apple problem you can probably fix it yourself.

01/06/12 I am waiting to have movies in the cloud. Has anyone heard anything??

I have bought a lot of movies from Itunes and lost them when I had to reinstall Windows 7. I did not take the time to make a backup and I am hoping Apple will put movies on the cloud. Has anyone heard any recent news about this and doesn't Apple realize that people would buy more movies if they didn't have to worry about losing them??

First of all - if anybody did know - they could not discuss it on this site since I'm pretty sure they would be violating a non disclosure agreement with Apple - if somebody actually knew. Any other knowledge would just be rumored or speculation and that is also prohibited on this site.
Not being able to redownload purchased movies has nothing to do with Apple not wanting to offer the feature. I'm pretty sure that It has to do with the movie studios not wanting to grant the rights to download the movies again at no cost. It really is a decision that must be made/approved by the movie studios.

Talk about frustrating - I bought the xoom on black friday - at the great price of $199.
Problem is the sales rep at time of purchase, said I would get NFL games televised live - same as on their cell phones.
After not be able to connect to the NFL Red Zone Sunday I contacted Verizon customer service. They tried to get me to sign up for Direct TV - very strange. Finally telling me to go back to the Verizon store I made the purchase at.
So Monday after vwork that is where I went. The rep still thought I should get NFL Mobile for live TV coverage only to find out he was wrong.
What sense does it make that you can access live nfl games on Verizon cell phones, but not through their serviced 4G tablets.

my system running not allways stable!I got some bluescreens of the art "STOP COMMAND"!
Exactly this three ones:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and
BAD_CALL_POOLER
HERE are some information about it,but sorry,it's in german!
I think that the faults causes maybe in that two ways!
Once is a Memory error,because I become sometimes error Popups,that adresses can't written or read!
I use one TwinMos Modul of PC3200,512 Mb!
At the moment I test it in slot 3 and it seems to be more stable as in slot 1!The time settings seems to be not so important,I can use either 2.5-3-3-6,or 2-3-3-6!Normal is(I'm not sure 2.5-3-3-8)!
But more important I think is,that the motherboard monitor shows me a core voltage of under 1.5V~1.48v!!!That is also the reason I mean,that I can't overclock my system over 205 MHz frontsidebus stable!In 3D Mark 3 I get instantly by the first test Wings of Fury a totaly blue screen(not the error bluescreen!Much darker and without any message!)
So I'd heard about a bug in the AMI bios,that you can't store a new core voltage!Either increase,nor decrease!My settings are on 1.55 Volt!Isn#t that the right voltage for the prozessor and if,why it isn't there a possibility to increase the core voltage for overclocking!But that is a must for a good result!I'm a little bit confused about that!The other possibility is,that my PSU is not strong enough!What for a Voltage is important for the CPU Core?I mean the 3.3V,or?My customer had said that he test the PSU and it's stable!It shall be have 32A,normaly it is enough to hold the voltage correct,but I knew that in china the electric is another as in germany!!!
Another problem is that I have change my drive from the VIA controller to the promise,because I would first test the speed and if this controller is able to read the correct monitoring data(Firmware,temperature,UDMA mode...)!The VIA doesn't do that but the promise can!And I use now together my old seagate drive on it.
Because HDTunenow show me the correct UDMA mode,I'd seen that both drives are not running at their best settings!The samsung run at UDMA5,but can run on 7 and the seagate run on UDMA2,but can do it on 5!So I would change it,but I have no idea where I can do that!In the hardware manager it isn't a possibility,neither on IDE(there is only the VIA),nor at the SCSI devices!I cannot see any settings therefor at the promise controller!And if I change the settings in bios on RAID(for S-ATA) and go into the RAID Menue with Ctrl+f on bootup,I can see keys for changing values,but their shows no result!And I think if their would working I can't use it,because with the RAID setting the computer will not boot if you don't create an array!

How I write it in my system specifications,I'd try to change the slot and it seems to be better with the RAM in slot 3!
But,is it my not so good english or why you did not wrote anything about the bios bug I'd heard from!Is it true that it gives a bios version with this bug,that doesn't allow to store another core voltage?Because I think that is the problem!That my core voltage is only at 1.48V,wether I changed it to 1.55V,neither if I do that in bios,nor in bios on auto and do it with core center!
What is the "normal" processor voltage?1.5 V?And if,why it gives no possibility to increase it higher than 1.55V for overclocking?What for voltage amounts are important for the processor to run stable?Only +3.3V or also the +5V and +12V amounts?
But anyway, it seems to be that the +3400 version of the processor is coming at its end of power and isn't so good to be overclocked!Better I'd bought a +3200 one I think!
But my system is also good without overclocking if I take a look at my 3DMark and Aquamark results!!:worship:
And my system isn't so old,only 2 month,but the errors comes also in the fresh system at the first days!

reasons they hire me is that they don't have the time or knowledge
to design a site themselves but on the other hand they don't
necessarily want to pay me to maintain it forever either. I'm
wondering if this might be a way to address that. There is also
Contribute, right, but would each client have to buy his/her own
copy in order to use this method of maintaining the content?

I gave Plone a very brief try and was horrified. As I recall,
it's a
collection of two or three different languages, including
Python. It
struck me as very anal retentive; it looks like you can do an
awful lot
with it, but, on the other hand, you have to jump through a
zillion
hoops just to do the simplest task.
Of course, I'm sure it's really much simpler once you get the
hang of
it. I recently saw a thread about updating sites at
SitePoint.com. As I
recall, Contribute (one of Dreamweaver's sister programs) and
WordPress
(a very popular CMS/Blog program) were both heavily
recommended.
WordPress would probably be much easier to learn than Plone.
If I remember correctly, the Animal Diversity Website uses
Plone.
