Hi Allister,
Thats what you should be seeing. The pixel count for both 4:3 and 16:9 are the same. It's the pixel aspect ratio which change. Unfortunately Quicktime doesn't have an aspect ratio flag setting. Hence you get your stretched look.
With respect to the DVDSP settings. As far as I am aware Pan / Scan in DVDSP is still faulty. But it was DVDSP 3 when I last checked this. So, letterbox is the choice for you.

Use FNDLOAD, it's the only way.
There are 2 seperate scripts, 1 for the Integrator and 1 for Layout.

Create custom java function in graphical mapper for Global use?

I created a java function (remove leading zeros in string field) in the graphical tool.
The problem custom function is at local map level only.
How can i make custom java function global for use in all SWC/namespaces/interfaces.
Can this be done with XI 3.0 SP 13? Any suggestions on how to do this.

Custom Icon for Lync Custom Menus

Creating Custom Solaris 9 x86 boot CDs

Does anyone know how to create custome Solaris 9 boot CDs for the x86 platform? I want to try and remove some of the packages that I don't need and see if I can get the boot CDs down to 1 CD (as I did with the Solaris Sparc version). I tried the steps layed out in "Building a bootable JumpStart Installation CD-ROM", but the CDs do not appear to be in the correct format. If I put these new CDs into a SPARC station, they appear to be layed out correctly. After some research I determined that the x86 CDs use El Torito with the .boot-image in the s2 slice, but it still doesn't work.
Here are the steps I have tried:
From the Jumpstart whitepaper
1. Extract slice 2 from the CD: find . -print | cpio -pudm /bicd/s2
2. Stop volume management: /etc/init.d/volmgt stop
3. Extract slice 0 from the CD: dd if=/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 of=/bicd/s0.image
4. Modify /bicd/s2
5. Make an ISO file: mkisofs -R -d -L -l -o /bicd/s9.image -B /bicd/s0.image /bicd/s2
6. Burn the CD: cdrw -i s9.image
I modified step 5 for an El Torito image:
Make an ISO file: mkisofs -R -d -L -l -o /bicd/s9.image -B /bicd/s0.image -b .boot-image /bicd/s2
The Jumstart whitepaper says to extract the vtoc separate, then calculate the cylinder boundaries and include it on the new CD. Whenever I include the extracted vtoc, the CD is completely unreadable. If I leave this step out of the Solaris Sparc version, everything works okay.

How to create customized F4 Help of InfoObject in BW

Does anyone know how to create customized F4 help for an InfoObject?
What I need to do is when user clicks F4 help on the variable screen of query, only certain master data values should be displayed, not all of them.
Currently, I can only make setting in InfoObject to restrict the F4 value either in master data or in Cube. I couldn't create a customized F4 value list.

As the title suggests, does anyone know how to create Custom Content Types in Adobe Livecycle Content Services ES? I have looked far and wide across the www, and haven't had any luck with a straight forward, easy to follow, tutorial on the subject. I have seen it for Actions and Aspects, but not Content.

Thanks for your response. I've spent the past couple of days trying to get it to work, but I still cannot figure it out.
According to all documentation I have found, I have modified the files I thought were the same as the Alfresco files:
C:\...\jboss\server\all\deploy\contentservices.war\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\extension
+ .\liveCycleContentModel.xml
Added the <types> tag above the <aspects> tag, and created my type as specified online and also in a book
Then I copied the web-client-config.xml to the extension folder and renamed as web-client-config-custom.xml and added the code to Content Wizards and Action Wizards to display it in the web ui.
Am I missing anything? When I re-package the .war file and redeploy/restart JBOSS, my localhost:8080/contentspace is completely broken. no login in or anything but workspace is still in tact.

Yes, aggravating. But it's not possible as far as as I know. Maybe a homebrew solution exists, but I have not gone down the homebrew route.

Custom menus for DVD's

I have been on the hunt for an app that would create custom menus for DVD's, I have toast but, the menus are rather tacky IMHO, I was hoping that maybe somebody here may have a good recommendation.

Most of what I make is under 90 minutes and,I work mostly with stills for now.
I like Toast a lot and really wished they had more professional looking menus.
They have released Toast 9 that has more menus but they still seem rather tacky, not to mention I bought 8 just a few months ago and, it rather miffs me to pay $50. for an up-grade, I just don't think that Roxio should charge that that much.
Now I have gave some thought on getting an external CD burner so I can do light scribing.

Creating custom reports with Pie Chart

I've got a little problem while I'm creating custom reports with SQL Chart.
For example, I want to have a Pie Chart that represent the distribution of the version for a software, i wrote my query with no problem, the result is in good format.
My Pie Chart is fine except there are no percentage displayed. The legend on the right is fine with correct count of different version, but no percentage on the pie chart.
Any idea?

well, I think this is not possible to ask OEM to print the percentage over the chart.
Anyway, I sugget you to rewrite your query to compute the % in the query itselft thus to have the pct displayed on the rigth.
Let's say you want to display the database files' size with such a query: select file_name name,bytes val from dba_data_files;
This is the way to display the % of each file size over the total (remark the above query has been embeded in the new one).
select name,ratio_to_report(val) over() pct
from ( select file_name name,bytes val from dba_data_files )
order by val desc
It is quite easy to adapt such a tip to your own query.

Missing performance counters when creating custom dashboard?

I've run into an issue when trying to create custom dashboards with performance views.
For example I have 2 servers with the same OS 2008 R2 one does not show the problem the other does.
The issue is that when I go in to create a custom dashboard and add a performance view the only counters listed for the problem server are network adapters. If I go to performance view on the server in scom it shows all the counters. The only place the counters
are missing is in the selection area for the dashboard performance view widget.
Do the performance views pull counter data from a different place then the dashboard performance widgets?

Problem when create customs BP number through PCUI

we are working on CRM 5.0 & EP7.0
i have created custom function module (z function module) for generate the customs BP number( Dep country ,region) for BP t-code in GUI (CRM) System , when test through PCUI i can not get the PCUI field values like counry , region....so i cant generate the custom BP number depend upon the country and region,
when user type the country,region,company name,city in PCUI
how can i get PCUI field values ( country,region,company name,city)
in GUI (SAP- CRM) System.
PCUI field values ( country,region,company name,city) is not stored in ABAP memory, like
