Anyone in the know please about power..
I think I have worked out what is wrong with my macbook 2.4ghz, regarding it doing hard shut downs etx while plugged in.
I have been gaming on Crysis with it, and it look absolutely fantastic, as my MBP runs natively on high, very impressive.
But i think what happens is that the power adapter provided by apple is not strong enough to supply enough power to the game.
I noticed that if I did not plug it in, it would drain like in maybe 45mins.
BUT if plugged it into the wall, it would still go down, only slower.
Can this be fixed anyone, cause my MBP is running Crysis better than my PC!!!
In other words i cant play for more than an hour - which is so annoying if you have to restart a few times, you get no where.
ANy help appreciated.

Hey guys, basically I ended up getting a new battery. ANd that seemed to help me for a while. Then it started happening again.
The reason that it was such a hard problem to isolate, it turns out that it actually was the power adapter only charging a little.(which probably also damaged the battery)
As for Crysis running on my machine.. I have a 256mb 2.4ghz Macbook pro.
When I ask the machine to come up with the defaults, it all comes up as high, I run it at about 1440x900 usually as well.
I hope i do not sound like I am being "creative".
This is simply what I am (luckily?) getting, I hope you are to. I though, am running windows XP. Which isnt as taxing as Vista? Also its not running via a window or anything, its a proper boot camp install.

I just installed LR CC and am having trouble opening catalogs where I followed the instructions to upgrade. Just posted a question about it.
Discovered a problem when I went looking for some images that were not included in the most recent catalog. After opening up a couple of older ones and upgrading, I went back to the most recent and couldn't opening. Message says it is not writable. And also says it may be due to incorrect permissions. If you have any suggestions for this, I would love to hear them. -

The only thing that I like about the ipod and itunes is the fade out of the current song and the fade in of the new song, which works well in all playing modes.

MattI'm not 'in the know', but my suspicion is that we are all done for the Zen Micro now. There aren't any bugs left in the firmware, and generally the Micro does all it was supposed to do. The market is moving away from the 5gig(ish) hard dri've players (being replaced by high capacity flash), which means the micro is running to the end of its life.
Thats not really a bad thing, the Micro is stable, and we have some new features (Audible) that we didn't have when purchased. I think that is about all we can hope for.... -
Does anyone out there know anything about RAIDXpert? software ?
I have several ??? about RAIDXpert.
1: If I have 2 computers, can I use RAIDXpert on computer # 2 to makle the HD on computer # 1 act as a second HD on computer # 2 ?
2: If so, can I do this wirelessly from a diferent location? Like from liviing room to the den?
Any help I can get on this senario, would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone read the sticky above about syncing issues?
I am talking about this sticky "Troubleshooting iPhone contact and calendar syncing on Windows". I have tried everything but the last step. Uninstalling itunes and reinstalling it. they say remove itunes completely from your computer and then download it agian and reinstall.
I upgraded to 7.7 no problems but I had an older version like many others on my PC. If I follow these directions and compeltely remove itunes then reload 7.7 won;t I lose all my itunes information since it was removed before upgrading?
Just want that clarified before I have to add all the music back to my PC with lyrics and artwork...that would take forever...When you refer to the 'iTunes information' do you mean your music collection? The answer is that you wont lose it - the software will be replaced with the new version but all your music will still be there. However, as they say in this IT business, always make a back up before making any drastic changes...

Not a biggie as Apple don't really cater for my needs anymore, but I was under the impression that my 2006 Mac Pro was full 64-bit.

After installed mavericks i cannot sign in to my facetime and i messages. i tried it 100 times, but it is showing couldn't sign in check your network and try again. there is no problem with my network. if anyone knows the solution please help me .

What version of the OS did you upgrade from ?
Anything before OS X 10.8.2 may have an issue if the Logic/Mother board has been replaced and the Serial Number not "flashed" back to it.
In the Apple Icon menu use the About this Mac item.
In the new panel click twice on the line that tells you the current OS level
It will change to the Build number (and alternative count to the OS versions) and then the Serial Number.
If it is missing you need to get it replaced.
(It is supposed to be done on Repair or Refurbishment).
An Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider as the best choices.
There are apps you can download (They are Mac Model specific) but needs careful typing as it is a once only trip.

I am trying to copy photos from an iPad to a Mac Air, but iPhoto does not recognize them. Please forgive the ignorance, but we have just started moving to apple products and I know nothing about them. Do you have to use PhotoStream to do this?
How did the photos that you want to copy off get on the iPad ? To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page - on a Mac you should be able to use iPhoto, Aperture or Image Capture
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app on your iPad such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer. -
