Anyone know about the Novell Open Workgroup Suite for Small Business

http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/19813.html

Tim,
Yes Novell needs more commitment and win back the hearts of old Novell
supporters
like yourself and me included.
Unfortunatly, I can't see anyone from Novell let alone a VP or his boss
although I think
this would be a very good sign.
Even if a cleaner at Novell calls you its something!!!
Please post if you get a call!!!
Personally - I can live without Bordermanager, NSS and Zenworks
Netware is gone - there really is NO life left as there is no 64bit.
Lets move on and Linux is the way but lets not forget Windows & AD now rules
the world.
The new NOWS product looks good. Still a few rough edges but like you said
shows the product
had been moth balled for 18 months - still its an alternative to MS SBS.
Novell Small Business discussion group with ACTIVE support from Novell
employees much
like the MS forums would be nice.
Direct Support call costs need to come down.
Novell needs MORE distributors and offer a OEM deal for system builders
Novell need to court partners - otherwise its a dead duck
MS asks users for feedback - there was one last week on "Competition" in the
MS SBS forum.
In the UK - everything Novell does is based in Bracknell - they need to get
out and about in the country
and offer dealers FREE "Intro Training" so they are comfortable selling
Linux

Why do you want to purge this table?
If you want to delete your personalization or pages just use functional Administrator responsibility or use jdr_utils.delete_document().

  • Does anyone know about the Mackeeper? Is it needed to protect my mac?

Does anyone know about mackeeper? And is it needed to protect my macbook?

    Don't download mackeeper!
1st: when you get the pop-ups, they will get worse over time. I heard from other people they even could'nt open their Safari anymore. The problem with mackeeper pop-ups is that they you can't view a website before you press some buttons of them (wich leeds to problems) and that they aren't pop-ups from the site you're viewing (so the site you're viewing don't get paid for it).
To avoid this pop-ups: download glimmerblocker!
Really search on internet if you can trust it (I also did), but you'll see it's safe. Really great software. Since I downloaded it, and put it on, I never got these problems anymore!
I never downoaded mackeeper but still the pop-up would show up more frequntly over time, really frustrating.
2nd: When you download it, you got some serious problems. It isn't good software at all. It slows your mac to a new level. I don't know what to do  in this case.

  • Does anyone know about the Twinbios on the VIVO dongle???????

I tried to update my VGA BIOS with live update 3.  After doing so my card wont work.  I have a fx5600 vtdr128 card.  The twin bios is a switch on the dongle, but when I switched it over to the safe mode nothing happened.  Does anyone have any idea about this?  Is there a way I can fix this without the twinbios dongle?

Well I know about it now and I am awaiting an answer from my contact.
Nice how they don't say anything about it on the webpage concerning the product, I had to hunt down information from a review at Viper's Lair! http://www.viperlair.com/reviews/video_graph/msi/fx/5600/p2.shtml
It's not even in the online manual
No need to start another thread, it only makes it difficult to follow.
Did you shutdown, change the switch to safe and try to restart? I am assuming that's what you did.
I forwarded your thread to my contact at MSI BTW. If theres no fix you will have to flash manually or RMA the card...

  • Does anyone know about the Fakeflash virus and how to secure a patch for it?

Hi.  Read about the Fakeflash, or Flashback, virus today.  Have been trying to find my UUID number on my old iBook so that I can tell if my computer has already been infected, but can't seem to locate it.  (Seems as if old versions don't list it on the About panel.)  Also, can't seem to find the place to download Apple's patch for the security breach anywhere.   Anyone have any info?  Thanks, Chris

Two Helpful Links Regarding Flashback Trojan
A link to a great User Tip about the trojan: Flashback Trojan User Tip
A related link in the tip to a checker: Malware Checker Dowload Link
A Google search can reveal a variety of alternatives on how the remove the trojan should your computer get infected. This can get you started.

EverWeb has built in SEO and it is not hard to do.  All you do is add all the headings etc as you go along whilst in the application and at the same time as you create your pages.  Nothing more to it and you don't need anything extra to be able to do it.  It is not complex and is not a lot of hard work either.
WordPress is not dependant on whether you use a Mac or a PC.  WordPress is all done on line, so is accessed from any Mac or PC - it is internet based, so you access your site online.
You either use WordPress.com or WordPress.org and if you use WordPress.com, it is free and you publish to the WordPress servers.  If you use WordPress.org you need to install this on a web host of your choice and build your site online.
You can use WordPress locally on your Mac, but to be able to install it on your Mac, you need to download something called MAMP from the internet so that you can run WordPress locally because it is a Content Management System (CMS), it uses a database, which is why you need a web host to run it.
If you don't understand WordPress, then perhaps EverWeb is a better way to go for you.

  • Does anyone know about the privacy policies regarding Notes written on iphone? What about if they are synced with Gmail and get sent to All Mail folder?

I recently found all of my notes (written on my iphone) in my All Mail folder (of my gmail). I think this is because I had selected that my Notes by synced with my Gmail (under Gmail account settings). So I experimented by unsyncing it, then wrote a few more notes, and they stopped appearing in my Gmail All Mail folder. Then, to check, I re-synced it, and wrote some more notes, and they still have not shown up in my All Mail folder. I am freaked out about the unreliability of the systems regarding my personal notes I wrote to myself--both about personal things and to do lists... The fact that it is SO iffy and unclear (Where the notes go and why, where else they may have ended up), is super frustrating to me. What are Apple's privacy policies? Icloud's privacy policies? Gmail's privacy policies? Ergh.
-Frustrated by unreliability and lack of clarity pertaining to personal documents and where they go and where they are stored (even after deletion).

If you go to settings , notes , you can switch we're you want them to go for default. But both your gmail and iCloud have password protection so unless you give someone your password I'm positive nobody can see them. You should also have if you don't already a password on your iPhone to unlock it. Good luck

  • TS1702 Does anyone know about removing ads from game apps for $2.99?  I paid, but am still seeing ads and it says I haven't downloaded it yet.  What does this mean and where do I download what I need to?

I paid the 2.99, but am still seeing ads.  I click on the remove ads link again and it says I paid, but haven't downloaded  it yet.  Where do I go to download this?  Also, is this 2.99 a one time only thing or do I have to pay it every time I play?

Depends on how the app is written but I would personally hope it's a one time only thing. I'd look on the app's support page for how to download it. It's probably the equivalent of an inapp purchase that needs to be downloaded. The app developer should have instructions on how to do that or an interface within the app to download it.

  • Does anyone know about the future of movies on Icloud??

I spent a ton of money on movies and lost them all when I reinstalled windows 7. I am hoping that Apple will give them back to us when they have it on icloud like music. Does anyone have information about being able to get the movies back from icloud? Does Apple realize that people will buy more movies if they don't have to buy them again?

I have read your response in other discussions and this may seem like a stupid question, but how can Apple allow redownloads of TV shows? They obviously don't own those either. Do they work out some type of agreement with the distributors of the TV shows that allows them to offer this feature?

    Heya!
I have downloaded music (not from iTunes - limewire) and it automatically is placed in the iTunes sharing folder. The only way I can listen to it is when LimeWire is connected.
