Anyone know how to assign a 'tone' to WhatsApp in iOS7?

I have a new iPhone5S. Found I can assign specific tones to Text tones for people, but can you assign a tone to WhatsApp? Don't see how to do it.
Hope someone can help.

If available for the app, that would be included with the app settings.
The same sounds available for Apple included apps are available for FaceBook and Twitter since FaceBook and Twitter are incorporated with iOS. WhatsApp is not.

I'm not affiliated w/ the developer, just a happy user that gave up fighting the apple podcast app a while ago. I used to have a bunch of smart playlists in itunes for my podcasts, and come home every day and pathologically synced my phone as soon as I walked in the door, and again before I walked out the door in the morning.
Since my wife was doing this too, we were fighting over who's turn it was to sync their phone.
Since I've switched to Downcast, I no longer worry about syncing my phone to itunes at all. I can go weeks between syncs.
Setup a "playlist" in downcast (ex., "Commute") and add podcasts to that playlist. Add another playlist ("walk" or "workout") and add different podcasts to that one.
Set podcast priorities on a per-feed basis (ex., high priority for some daily news feeds, medium priority for some favorite podcasts, lower priority for other stuff). Downcast will play the things in the priority you specify, and within that priority, it will play in date order (oldest to newest).
Allegedly, it will also sync your play status to other devices, although that is not a feature I currently use and can't vouch for. It uses apple's iCloud APIs, so to some extent may be limited by what Apple's APIs can do.

Does anyone know how to send additional tones after initial phone number?

I dial in to many conference call services that require a code to be entered once the initial call has been connected. Is there any way to configure a phone number so that it delays sending the last few digits? This would be very helpful as i cant always remember the code once i have dialed the initial number. That won't work on the iPhone - the reason is that the other apps (Mail, browser, 3rd party apps) hand the number off to the Phone app via an html code (which is why the phone numbers appear as 'links'), and that code does not recognize pauses. It works for contacts because those are 'embedded' in the phone app so the number is dialed directly. Unfortunately, there's no workaround for what you're trying to do.

An alternate way is to insert the needed characters in the Favourite page of the Character Palette. This way you would be able to insert them double-clicking the wanted one.

Try restarting your iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, double check the volume button just in case. If you still can't hear the tones go into your settings>sounds and make sure the options are on.

I need to be able to filter on node 3, 4 and 5 and then after
the filter if they don't exist get rid of node 2 level and then do
another filter function to check if node 2 level is there and if
not.. then filter out node 1 level. Basically this is a bottom up
filter. In Flas 2.0 I would filter out the base level by deleting
nodes.. and then run through the next level and check if they had
any children or not.. if they didn't then I would delete them.. and
then I would repeat the step for the last level.
Does anyone know how to do this without having to remove the
items from the collection.. basically perform a filter rather then
a delete. I know the filter function only returns the first element
of the xml struct.. which is annoying. If anyone can help me out I
would sure appreciate it?

I guess the filtering on a tree only passes in the root
nodes... This is hugely lame on Flex's part. I basically had to
make my own functions to delete the nodes dynamically.
Remember this only works on an array item which is dynamic.

I feel like the MB Pro would be a better fit for me, so I wanted to exchange my Air for the Pro. But also, if I end up not liking the Pro and want to go back to an Air, would I be permitted to do so with another exchange? (all still within the 14 day window after purchase of course).
Also, are there any specifics I need to know in order to return my product and get a new one? Obvioulsy, I would be sure to remove all of my personal files, music, etc...but is there anything else I need to do?
And lastly, and im sure this question is irritating to you Mac wiz kids out there, but are the two models im comparing really all that different? Just play with each and figure out which one you want. I believe they only allow 1 exchange unless it is a defect issue. You can always return the exchanged item and rebuy what you want if they will not allow you to do multiple exchanges.
But again, you need to really figure out which one you want.

If you are talking about some "Karaoke" method using Logic I'll try to offer one. Before that I must say that most of the Karaoke methods are based on reversing the Phase of one of the stereo channel and bussing or merging the stereo into Mono. The result is: killing all Pan Centered in the mix - like Main Vocal, Bass, Kick, SN ect.
The artifacts of the Stereo FX of the main vocal will stay in the Karaoke, cause the FX is stereo etc.
Here is the Logic Setup I can offer to try some Karaoke trick using Logic.
1. Import a Stereo mix into a Logic Stereo track.
2. Create another stereo track and duplicate (copy) the Original Mix region to the duplicated track.
3. Hard Pan L/R both stereo tracks.
4. Insert an EQ and Gainer plugins into the duplicated track (R).
5. Set the Output select of the both tracks to a Bus and assign the new Aux Track Switch mode to "Mono".
6. Open the Gainer plugin and thick the "Phase Invert" Right button.
7. To keep the "lowend" instruments like the bass and kick, open the EQ plugin and enable the Low Cut filter and try some Hz settings 80-115, or different Q which will sounds better for your Karaoke.

Anyone knows how to set printer to economy mode from your ibook?

I am using a HP 1320 laser printer for both my ibook G4 and a pc. With the pc there is no problem to set the printer to economy mode for toner saving, but I can't find a way to set up the same mode from Mac. Is it because of the version of the printer software? Does anyone know how to do it from your mac?
Any suggestion will be appreciated.

My Canon driver gives me the ability to create presets based on specific types of pictures (high quality color, draft mode, black & white etc.). It sounds like the HP driver is not as generous.
All printer settings for ink, paper handling, etc. occur on the screen appearing when you select "print". If "economy" does not appear, then the PC driver probably (no surprise) gives more options than the related Mac driver.
Have you contacted HP directly? If not, it might be your best tact, at least to offer suggestions for future driver options.
In the 3rd party "driver" world, a favorite is Gutenprint (formerly known as Gimp-Print). This driver package may offer you more print options than HP.

I figured out my problem...... I have custom text tones set up for certain ppl and had the default text tone set to "none" well with the iOS6 update it made it so if your default text tone is set on "none" then you won't hear what I call the send and recieve text sounds when in a converstation... if you change the default text tone to any text tone other than "none" you will get your send and recieve sounds back.... kinda annoying if you don't won't random texts from ppl waking you up... so I made a custon text tone that is called silence with just recording a few seconds of dead noise then edited it and turned all the sound levels down to 0 and set that as my default text tone.... now I have the send and recieve text sounds in a conversation and everything is fine! Sorry Nehucskter the first time I had this problem thats the first thing I did was reboot my phone.... first thing you do for everything lol....

Did the selller tell you what version of OS X was installed when the machine originally purchased. If it had Snow Leopard on it you have an illegal verison of OS X, as the license for Lion and ML upgrades are not trasferable, they're also pretty useless to you because they're tied to the old owner's AppleID. If you are not sure or cannot find out then call AppleCare.
However if the machine originally shipped with Lion on it, the simply restart in the Restore Partion, do and erase and install and you're set. You can start in the Restore Partition by holding down the Command + R keys when you hear the startup tone and then choosing the Restore Partition and open Disk Utility.
