Anyone know of software (preferably freeware) that can be used in adobe pro 8, which will allow a user, using a tablet PC, to capture digital ink signatures, within a PDF form?

The time code will be present once the video has been imported, but to do that you need to use an analogue to digital converter such as, for example, the ADVC110.

For example, if I am downloading a paper by smith called "Surgery" that was published in 2002, it will automatically set the file name in the download to smith- surgery 2002. I have heard pages is smart enough to do this.

Pages can export only its own documents. They may be exported as PDF, MS Word, RTF or Text files.
Pages can import (ie. Open a file as, or Insert a file into, a Pages document) documents in several formats, but won't rename the document as you describe. Documents that can be Opened (eg. Text, AppleWorks 6 WP, MS Word files) are converted to Pages documents, and retain their original names, with .pages replacing the original file extension. Files that can be Inserted (generally .jpg, .pdf and other image files) become part of the existing Pages file and lose their names.
It may be possible, using AppleScript, to extract the text you want and to Save a Pages file using that text as the filename, but that would depend in part on being able to identify which text is wanted and which is not.
How will the script determine where the author's name begins and where it ends?
How will the script recognize the beginning and of the title, an decide how much of the title to use in the filename?
How will the script recognize the year of publication?
For papers published in a specific journal, with a strict format for placing each of these pieces on information, or containing the needed information as searchable meta data in the file, this might be possible. But it would require knowledge of the structure of these files, and would probably handle only papers published in a specific journal or set of journals.
Outside my field of knowledge, but there are some talented scripters around here who might want to take a closer look.

It's not entirely clear what you are trying to acieve. I think you're trying to add menu items to an exsisting exe without recompiling it, from LabVIEW. If so the following applies.
You have to hook the winproc. When a menu item is selected, windows send a message to the window's winproc. There are some API's that can be used to point the address of the winproc to another routine. This routine can do filtering, and then call the original routine.
Note that LabVIEW doesn't (or didn't until LV7) use windows menu's, so when a LabVIEW (or exe created with LabVIEW) menu item is called, windows will not send anything. That is the price for platform independency.
I think the OpenG site (or perhaps Winutils from NI) has some vi's to hook windows messages that are send to LabVIEW. Perhaps you can also use them hook another application.

Does anyone know how to clear the fields between uses of a form used in Adobe Reader on an iPhone?

The iPhone app for Adobe Reader is automatically saving the form each time it is filled out. (Windows Adobe Reader does not do this.) This means that you have to manually clear each field before you can use the form again. Does anyone know a work-around?

How to disable digital signing and saving of PDF form?

I have a PDF form that I have created. It does not have a signature field becuase I need them to print and physically sign the form. However no matter what I do Adobe Reader offers the option to digitally sign the form (as well as save it). How do I disable this?? Thank you for the help in advance.

It is a business application for a city site. As a result the limit of 500 is obviously not going to work. Also for legal reasons they need the form physically signed.
The original hope was to provide a PDF form that could be filled in (almost entirely) on the computer if desire and then printed, signed, and turned in to the city.
What they don't want is for someone to fill it out on the computer, use the echosign and email it as they need the physical signature.
Sounds like we might have to choose between:
- not having it interactive (so they can just print it out and fill it out)
Or
- make it so they can fill it out on the computer, but include instructions that they need the print it out and physically sign it. And hope they follow the instructions.

So what kind of error am I dealing with when a movie clip I've loaded is trying to open an external file and that file doesn't exist? In the Output panel I see a message like "Error Opening URL 'blah'". Is that something that can be captured and displayed in a textarea? And if so, is it possible to write a global error handler so that any errors that occur would be processed in the same way? The reason being that I can't modify anything except for the clip I'm creating - the clips I'm loading can't be edited by me.

Make sure you click in the text box for username and password to bring up the keyboard.
Try powering off your iPad by holding the power button and sliding the red slider when it appears, or try resetting your iPad by holding the power and home buttons together until the apple logo appears.
I would also highly recommend an app for facebook, it's called MyPad.

Are you downloading iTunes form an Apple website or somewhere else? If the answer is somewhere else, try downloading it from Apple. Click on iTunes in the black menu bar above and go from there.

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folders. In OS X 10.9 there are two sandboxes, while in earlier versions there is only one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Log out and log back in. Launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Repeat with this line:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.

I have had this happen as well. What I had to do was sync the iPod to remove the album and the resync the album back to the Classic. I've had this happen with my iPhones as well. Must be a bug in either the current OS or iTunes versions.

I've tried everything...help from where I bought the books, surfing the net, etc. but even though the book is in the library of my Adobe Digital Editions I can't drag it onto the Kobo library. The dragging stops at the border of the Adobe site. I've spent hours and am SO frustrated - hope somebody can help.
