Anyone know how to connect to a Diamond WR300N?

I live in a very narrow three story house. My wireless router is on the first floor but my iMac is on the third floor. I get a weak and slow connection up there. I picked up a Diamond WR300N repeater and set it up but I'm not sure how to connect to it. Using the tool here: http://tools.meraki.com/stumbler I can see two networks with the same name, with the repeated one being much stronger than the other. How do I tell the iMac to connect to the stronger one? Network preferences pane just shows one router and judging by the ip address I'm connecting to the first floor router rather than the second floor repeater.

Hello;
I don't know the details about that particular sensor, but as long as the sensor gives a voltage signal, you can use the SCXI-1328 Users Manual to double check how the connections are made.
You can download the Users Manual from NI's home page.
Hope this helps.

I have tried everything to connect my acer to a wirless network. Does anyone know how to connect to a wirless network?

Did you already try to reset the router?
Did you reset the iPod by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?
Did you reset the network settings on your iPod in Settings/General/Reset?

Does anyone know how to connect wireless speakers with itunes through airplay? I am not getting the airplay icon in itunes.

JBL doesn't have any speakers called "Spiral" that I can find, but anyway, perhaps something in this Apple support article on AirPlay troubleshooting will help:

  • Does anyone know how to connect to Bell South DSL under PPPoE?

I am having problems connecting to the internet.I have Bell South DSL. I was using a Dell laptop which used a USB cable to connect to the internet. Now that I have my first Apple (Macbook) I have been told to use the Ethernet cable that Bell South gave me instead of the USB. (They gave me both and they are labled) But the Ethernet cable B.S. gave me doesnt seem to fit into any ports on my Macbook. Once I get that situated, I was told to set my settings to PPPoE. Does anyone know how to do this or have any suggestions to my cable problem? And how do I get to Tiger from my Macbook? I cannot seeem to find it. Any input is appreciated.

Assuming "BellSouth" uses the same procedure as "SBCGlobal", which are now both ATT/Yahoo, as far as I know:
Take router from box. Connect to power outlet and phone outlet.
Take Ethernet cable, plug one end into the router's jack marked LAN, plug other end into your computer's Ethernet jack.
Point your Web browser to 192.168.1.1 (enter this into your browser's address bar, actual address might vary, check your router's documentation.)
A Web form will appear. Set router to PPPoE, if necessary. Enter the user name your ISP gave you. Enter the password.
Watch all the lights on your router go green.
Or, if the router is already set up, since you used it with your Dell laptop previously:
Take Ethernet cable, plug one end into the router's jack marked LAN, plug other end into your computer's Ethernet jack. Done.
The second from the left is your Ethernet jack:

  • Does anyone know how to connect the iPhone to a peripheral and keep it charging?

Now that a number of medical devices can be attached to the 30 pin or to a lesser extent the lightening connector this creates the obvious conundrum of what happens when the battery of the iPhone dies and you still want MORE data?
The answer came in this review for a pulse oximeter
    http://www.amazon.com/review/R2LR18B4LT26F8/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00A1 G7VRS&linkCode=&nodeID=&tag=
The problem is that I have not been able to find this device that he references that describes a 30 pin extender that also has a connection to a USB (albeit mini USB) connector to allow charging and connection to an additional device.
Now granted that this may pose risks to the iPhone & as you can see in the review many of the device manufacturers don't like it, but this could come in handy and very useful for certain applications.
Does anyone know what this is called and where to find it online to buy?  or does anyone have a better solution such as a 30 pin splitter that will actually allow each device on the split to still communicate with each other (my guess is most splitter would allow dual charging, but will not allow you to actually get data sent across from the one device to the other).
    Thoughts?

What exactly is this "text divider"?
A graphic? If so what format?

  • Does anyone know how to connect an external zoom to a canon FS20 camcorder.

Is it possible to connect an external zoom remote to a canon FS20 camcorder?  With no LANC port i would assume those controllers are out... anyone know of a different controller/ remote that might work?  I want to use the camera on a taller boom to tape soccer games but i am concerned that there is no way to zoom in.

Hi cardsdude2015! Without a remote port or even a wireless remove sensor (like the FS22 has), it is not possible to use a remote with the FS20.

  • If anyone knows how to connect e7 with linux let m...

sorry guys, it seems that the problems will never end,i just have a problem with my computer because i'm using linux and can't connect it with my phone .which is really not good for nokia,i hope they read what we write because from now on i'll not recomend nokia to any of my friends who wants to get nokia phons,if the company we are using and love won't give us what we are looking for or need then there are no need to have her products, does not deserve us as clients.one can destroy 10. that's what i believe.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Nokia's Ovi Suite (etc.) is as incompatible with Linux as diesel fuel in a petrol car, so let that idea go.  But there are Linux solutions.  For me, I have two 8 GB memory cards, both nearly full with mp3's, and all those songs were installed to the cards using drag-and-drop.  You don't necessarily need a software program, just Mass Storage mode.  I made a folder called "Music" in the root area of the card and moved all the band/singer folders (with individual album folders inside) there.  The Music Player should find them, or manually refresh the database.  The same thing should work for pictures, although there may be some differences between your E7 and my E73.
As for the other functionality, I did a few web searches and found several "Suite" programs like Wammu, Xgnokki, and Nokuntu.  Search these forums for "Ubuntu" and you will find many other similar discussions.  /t5/PC-and-Mac-Software/Nokia-PC-Suite-Ubuntu/td-p/247373 is the one that got me started.  Wammu and Xgnokki should both be available through the Ubuntu Software Center (Applications ->  Ubuntu Software Center, unless they changed the menu layout).  Nokuntu looks really interesting, but you have to get it separately from http://sourceforge.net/projects/nokuntu/ .
Embarrassingly, I have never used any of these programs, so you will have to experiment to see what works.  You won't have full Ovi Suite support, like firmware installs and maps downloads, but it's something.  If you realize that most Linux programmers are university students, or people like you and me, writing software for fun, I think this is quite acceptable.  Not to mention that large companies like Nokia aren't always forthcoming about how their own software works.  Linux can be a chaotic OS, so take it slowly don't expect everything to work as smoothly as commercial software.  If you have specific questions about programs like Wammu, most have their own web site and support system (i.e. http://wammu.eu/support/ ), or you could visit the Ubuntu forums http://ubuntuforums.org/ .  Or you could follow-up here.   I hope that helps!

I want to play my itunes library through my home amplifier and speakers?  Is it possible to do this?

For stereo sound, you can use a normal stereo cable.
For surroundsound capable video/audio, optical TosLink connection through the headphone port using an adaptor cable.
