Anyone know how to reinstall midi drivers?
Logic Pro hangs when loading. It hangs at the point that it is checking the midi drivers. I went into the utility midi studio to check the midi environment, and the utility hangs as well with nothing being found. Previously, it found my Mbox 2, IAB, and Axiom Pro 49 drivers, as well as the synths I had connected to them. I tried to roll back to a Time Machine backup from last week but that didn't help. Where do I find the drivers on my system. Macbook Pro, OSX Lion 10.7.5. Thanks.
No Midi driver are present in the audio folder.

i was getting error-50 after updating safari/firefox and most wmv files would not open. i deleted quicktime , emptied it from trash, did a restart, and tried to reinstall several versions of quicktime from apple with zero luck ... anyone out there know what i need to do to get quicktime back on this old G5?

Does anyone know how to remove IVI drivers..?
I am trying to install hp34401a_LV61 'installer' and keep recieving an error about ivi traditional / third party drivers need to be uninstalled.....

Most likely you have the traditional driver for the hp34401a.
If that is the case, you need to remove the hp34401a folder located in the LabVIEW\instr.lib directory. Removing this folder should be enough to remove the traditional driver.
If you have a older version of an IVI driver, go to C:\VXIpnp\WinNT\hp34401a. In this directory there should be an uninstall executable.

How Restore Deleted or Missing OS X Components
A few of the basic OS X installed applications can be restored from the Optional Installs installer located in the Optional installs folder on your Installer DVD. However, if what you need is not there then follow the instructions below.
How to Use Pacifist to Restore Deleted or Missing OS X Components
Insert the OS X Installer DVD into the optical drive. Use a simple utility like TinkerTool to toggle invisibility so you can see invisible items. Alternatively, open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and at the prompt enter the following:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles Yes
Press RETURN.
To turn off the display of invisible files repeat the above command substituting No for Yes.
The install packages are located in the /System/Installation/ folder on the DVD.
Download the shareware utility Pacifist. Use it to extract a fresh copy of the missing item(s) from the file archives on your OS X installation DVD. The file archives are in the /System/Installations/ folder (use Go to Folder option in the Go menu of the Finder.)
Here are Four Basic ways to use Pacifist (courtesy of George Orville.)
A. Drag a .pkg icon onto the Pacifist window .....proceed to step 7.
B. Click on “Open Package ....” and navigate to package desired and click “Open” in
the open/save window.....proceed to step 7.
C. Insert Mac OS X installer CD and when it mounts, navigate to .... Menu->Go->Go
to Folder. In the path field enter or paste ....
/Volumes/disc name/System/Installation/Packages (where disc name is the name of the CD/DVD that you inserted.)
Click on the "Go" button ..... • Drag a .pkg to Pacifist..... proceed to step 7.
The package you'll need will have to be discovered by trial and error, but for most applications you should start with the Essentials.pkg and/or Additional Essentials.pkg.
D. Insert your Mac OS X install disk 1 .... and open Pacifist.
1. In Pacifist, select "Open Mac OS X Install Packages" ... dialog may appear asking for disk 2, then disk 3 and finally disk 1 again.... {if DVD is not used)...If “Stop Loading” is selected...the procedure will stop!!!
2a. When loading is complete, a new window appears, click the triangle to display contents of each package...Select item and proceed to step 7.
2b. or click the “Find” icon in the Pacifist window and type the name of the software you need.
3. In the list that comes back, click the top most entry for the item that you want. ..... that is the one for the English language.
4. On the top of the Pacifist window, click “verify” .... you will probably be prompted for your password.
5. Enter checks for.... “verify permissions” and “verify file contents.” and click “verify” ....enter password when prompted.... you will get back output which may look like this:
20 files were scanned. 20 of 20 files were present on the hard disk. 0 of 20 files had file permissions that did not match those specified in the package. 0 of 20 files had checksums that did not match those specified in the package.
6. Click “close”. Go to step 7.
Extract or Install........
7. In the Toolbar (upper left), you now have the option to extract or install. Click a file in the lower list and those two icons will be enabled.
8. If “Extract to...” is selected.... navigate to the location where the file will be placed, select “choose”, select “extract” in new dialog that appears,authenicate , if prompted, click “OK”.
9. In the next dialog, click “Extract”.
10. If “Install” is selected... dialog will appear with the location/path of the installed software. Click “Install”
11. Type in your password, click “OK”
Pacifist will begin to extract files.
12. In steps 8/10ß.... you also have the choice to “cancel”
Notes: Pacifist may find that a file it is installing already exists on the hard disk. Pacifist will present you with an alert panel....
• Stop
• Leave original alone
• Update .....
• Default selection
• Replace .... (Replace option should only be used on full install packages) -
How to program a midi foot controller on Mainstage? Does anyone knows how to program the foot controller with exclusive solo channel in order not to dance "tip tap" while from clean guitar I go to crunch or solo? How to do this programming on Mainstage?
I basically managed to learn how to invert parameters which allows me to be as default in the clean guitar channel and if I switch the first button on the midi foot controller I switch to crunch, but at this point I tryied so hard to programm the second and third button to switch, only through a button in one step, to a third channel for distorsion or a 4th channel for solo guitar but I couldn't figured out how this work can be done!
I would appreciate if anyone could help or share this experience with others who are experiencing the same problem.

I have an older version of itunes stuck on my computer and because of an apparent pathway missing it wont let me uninstall and reinstall the newer itunes....anyone know how to fix this issue?

Strange System Font in Dreamweaver. After I installed Dreamweaver CS4 on my Mac, it loaded this strange font as seen in the photo attached. Anyone know how to fix this? I have uninstalled/reinstalled many times to no avail. There are no other problems with w/ other CS4 programs, they all have the normal system font. I can't figure it out. Thanks!

I had my computer repaired, and when I got it back I had to reinstall iTunes. Now iTunes won't authorize this computer because it says we already have 5 devices authorized, but this is the same computer. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Deauthorizing won't delete anything, and all your purchased content is safe. You will just have to reauthorize any of the other computers that get deauthorized along with your computers old machine id.
To get your purchased content back on that computer, just use iTunes to redownload it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US). Of course, music you ripped from CD or got from another source you'll need to copy those files back over. -
I need to reinstall my Final Cut Express. I have a version of 3.5 and then an upgrade to 4. Somehow I have managed to mislay the serial No for 3.5 so cannot install. Does anyone know how I can resolve this.
If version 4 is an upgrade only, you will have to have the serial number of the 3.5 full version.
If you can't find it try contacting Apple with your proff of purchase, they may be able to help.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

You've tried logging out and back into your account on your iPad ?
If that hasn't fixed it then try closing Settings and iTunes apps via your iPad's multitasking bar :
iOS7 : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the Settings and iTunes app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
iOS 6 and below : from the home screen (i.e. not with Settings or iTunes apps 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Settings and iTunes apps to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
When your iPad has restarted see if you can log into iCloud and if the iTunes store works. -

This article was archive so I can't reply to this, but I wanted to bring this back up.
As Christian pointed out on converting your notes to P-Press, then random DataByte 1 then convert back to a Note...
I used this approached but was able to add in a macro I created to save the generated random DataByte 1 so that when the Note OFF message came around, I can apply that saved random DataByte 1 to the Note OFF in question.
One thing I did notice when working this out was there's 2 differences in processing the messages when it comes to using a MIDI Input Device or a MIDI Performance (midi file).
After I was able to figure this out, now I can randomize on notes using either of the 2 Inputs.
While randomize notes probably won't sound nice to the ear, I apply another macro I created and I'm still adding too, and that's Music Scales.
So while I randomize notes, when applied to this last macro, the random notes now get mapped to notes in a music scale of your choosing.
