Anyone know how to revert back - iso7 has caused many problems
It seems many of us are having problems with this new upgrade. I too now am having difficulty in sending messages. Really frustrating this upgrade - i fyou haven't upgraded yet then don't - not user friendly.
Apple are aware of and are working on a fix for the iMessage problem.
Downgrading is not supported.

You may be able to go back with Time Machine but this may involve restoring other items too (https://discussions.apple.com/message/20441404). Alternatively:
Back up your computer first, in case the unexpected happens.
Quit iTunes.

Do a few preparatory steps by making sure all iTunes components are not running and cleaning old files. See https://discussions.apple.com/message/20475394. Do steps 3 and 4. Steps 6-8 may be also useful but I don't know if they are essential. Some of the other steps are not necessary, duplicate steps listed later in my post or are perhaps even unhelpful in the process.
Replace the iTunes 11 application with iTunes 10.7. Simply dragging the application to the trash may not work. Lion (OSX 10.7) and newer systems have iTunes integrated into the operating system and deleting is a bit more involved. Two ways to do this are:
1. Use the shareware Pacifist utility (http://www.charlessoft.com/) to install iTunes 10.7 including all associated system files. Details at http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=16400819&postcount=6
2. Check this reference on how to delete the iTunes application itself:

After deleting the application there may be other files that need downgrading too. See the note about error -42408 at the end of this post. You may want to tuck these away somewhere safe until you have completed the installation of iTunes 10.7. I have not tested this but ideally if newer versions are not found then the installer will put in the old versions. This may include these files in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ which apparently get updated by iTunes 11:

MobileDevice.framework
After doing one of the two procedures above you will have to rescue the most recent old iTunes library from your iTunes > Previous Libraries folder. Rename it "iTunes Library.itl" and replace the existing one in the iTunes folder. A newer version of iTunes irreversibly updates your library file so you have to replace it with the old one or you will get an error message. Note, this will revert your library to the version at the time of the upgrade and you will have to update any changes made since. See:

I lost my old iphone and have a new 5s.. i need to sync to itunes. i had to donwload manually via tools but i didnt download all four files. now when i plug my phone into itunes it says there is an error bc i didnt download all the files. so when i go into itunes now and check for updates it says its up to date. the problem is with the phone support file i didnt download.
Does anyone know how to get back to the pop up that has the music player update and itunes update bc this is the only place i have seen "tools" to be able to manually update all four files....

i have done this twice in two other posts..
here is my problem.. i started off trying to update itunes, it failed twice and said i needed to install manually via tools.
the only place to get to tools is the pop up box that appears when you click check for updates.. if there is an available update then the pop up shows up with the quick time and itunes files to download. so i finally figured that out. i clicked on tools and manual update, four files were saved to a file. Apple mobile device support, another one similar, itunes, and another one i cant remember. I only downloaded the itunes file seeing as though thats all i needed to accomplish in the first place.
so then i restarted my computer bc you need to reboot and then reopen itunes for update to take effect. once i have itunes back open i plugged in my new 5s which i am trying to sync to my computer to get all my stuff back bc i lost my previous phone over the weekend.. once i plugged the phone in an error stating i needed to unistall the apple mobile device support and itunes and then reinstall. well i dont know where those files were originally stored on my computer AND since my itunes was updated, just not the other 3 associated files, when i click check for updates it says its up to date and then pop up containing the quick time and itunes does not pop up thus i cant get back to the tools tab to manually save the 4 files again.
so i was just going to uninstall itunes all together and then i thought well what happens if it erases all my photos apps songs etc... which would defeat the whole purpose in the first place of me trying to sync my new phone to get all my stuff back.
so i literally have no idea what to do at this point.. if you have read this you are probably just as confused as me... -
CS6 Camera Raw - I can now only crop using aspect ratio in the custom crop setting rather than being able to set the dims in cm and inches? anyone know how to revert? ever since installing new mac operating system things have been strange!

I have looked at all of my settings both in Bridge and CS6 Photoshop regarding Camera Raw. I am at a loss how to set the crop tool in cm or inches as I once did - now the only option is to crop using ratios of 1:1 etc etc - This is infuriating as lots of my square crops I could set at 10" x 10'' specifically to print one to one to fit frame and mount size -
Now if cropping using bloody aspect ratio of 1:1 (square) the actual dims of the crop are roughly 4.25 inches x 4.25 inches. this means I then have to open the whole image in photoshop in order to crop at the dims I have set! It was so much quicker in terms of batch cropping in camera raw being able to set dims in centimetres and inches but they have gone and mucked around with it, with the new bloody update! Unless you are an absolute genius and know how I can go back to having an option of CM, Inches and aspect ratio within the custom crop settings? (Please say you do)

This usually indicates a problem with your router or cable modem, your ISP's service or cabling outside your house. First thing I'd try is rebooting the router/cable modem (turn it off, wait 1 minute, then turn it back on).

The 6.1.4 update had nothing to do with this. If it did, then every iPhone with 6.1.4 installed would have the same problem.
Apple doesn't support downgrading the firmware, which won't change anything.

If everything seems to be OK, you can reinstall OS X - just a 'fresh' install, it won't hurt your data (though it's always a good to backup your data) and it may fix the problem.

Being a fan boy I rarely complain about stuff but this is beyond ridiculous. Please fix the non responsive problem or allow us to revert back to 3.01. I have rebooted my phone a gazillion times and performed a complete restore. Now what?

BackUp the phone,
Then Restore the phone as a NEW phone with NO apps.
If it works properly at that point, you will know that one of your apps is causing a problem.
If it does not work properly after a clean restore with NO apps, you will know you have a hardware problem in the phone and need to take it in to Apple for repair or replacement.

Anyone know how to solve pink dot on iPhone4 camera problem?
I noticed recently that I have pink spots all over the camera screen when I shoot with my iPhone camera, in both picture and video mode. These appear in all the pictures that I take (refer to the photo below) There are no scratches or dust on the camera. The pink spots are magnified when I use the zoom-in function also.
Does anyone know how do I solve this problem? If it's not a software issue, I might have to send the phone in to get the camera replaced.If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.

Lion has caused many problems for me. display , flashing blue.
I have a mac pro early 2009. Lion will not support two displays. It was running extremely slow but now that I disconnected a display it seems to be working fine. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I have done everything I can think of and all that you have suggested.

Cleaned out computer
Made more then enough free space
I have not tried new user or known good display I dont know what "know good display" is!
I still can not get my second monitor to even be detected now let alone the random blur flashing episodes
that keep happening. Almost feels like the more I try to fix this problem the worse it's becoming.
I will say this , my computer is running very well after all this troubleshooting.
FYI I do have two slightly different sized monitors, I've heard thats a problem.
Also a new situation is spotifiy is now indexing I am assuming this is happening because of all the shut downs
and reseting.

Question: How so I get both moniters to be detected and work with out Lion freaking out on my and flashing blue light back to desktop and then blue light again over and over in 20 second intervals. Its like its trying to find it the second monitor but can't.
Wait a minute .... both displays are on now, however blue flashing still happening at random. Now they are both out, now just blue , now falshing again .
Seems to be a pattern with whats happening. -
Does anyone know how to switch back to 2.0.1?
I've nothing but problems with 2.0.2 upgrade: battery life if significantly degraded, goes to 10% after about 8-9 hours of none use (no calls, no email checking, Wifi is off). Dropped a few calls, where I normally drive to and from work, whereas before, same route, I did not drop any calls. Reception has been much worse now, than with 2.0.1.
Anyways, is there a way to go back to previous version, say 2.0.1?

<Edited by Moderator>I'm going to play in the side of caution here. I will back my HDD using SuperDuper. This way, if anything goes wrong, I can restore my internal HDD from SuperDuper, and get the same exact copy back again. Then I will:
1)Reset All Settings on the iPhone.
2)Un-install the current version of iTunes (7.7.1)
3)Install iTunes 7.6.1
4)Log into iTunes account
5)Plug my iPhone into the usb port
6)Itunes will detect the iPhone, and it should tell me to download the latest version for the iPhone which will be 2.0.2? Hmmm, I will be back to this version again, as iTunes will need to be upgraded to iTunes 7.7.1 , which will force me to download version 2.0.2
7) Probably not worth all the hassle. What do you all think?
BTW I did try to use time machine to go back far enough, but it goes back to only July 12 with itunes ver 7.7, which I'm guessing will result in the same ver 2.0.2??

It doesn't matter if it was unlocked. It still must be returned to Canada for repairs, either in warranty or out of warranty. That's the reason it's a bad idea to buy an iPhone in a different country than the one you plan to use it in.

Iphone 4 upgrade to ios 5 has caused many problems
Including lost apps, incomplete syncs (always times out at last step), lost music, itunes now hangs and needs to be killed by windows. Truly wish I hadn't bothered.
Sounds like you will need to do a restore but don't restore from backup... Treat the phone like a new phone when you restore. It will wip everything. First you want to get all your camera roll pictures off the phone and into a folder in your pictures.
Once the phone is initialized you will have to check or uncheck all the apps you want and music and your photo folders from you my pictures folder taht you want. Then Sync.
On Itunes you may want to turn off the Sync when I connect option so you don't have to stop a sync in progress when you plug in. Then you can make all your choices and sync when finished. I once ran into a problem after stopping the sync that automatically kicked off when I plugged in
