Anyone know how to Save an Java Image to gif or png file?

I'm trying to build a Map Edito for game, I want to import some images which and a lot of tiles in each of them. I want to cut each tile 24x24 out, then save it in an invidual file.
Anyone know how to save to file? any easy way?
I know there is somehthing call JPEGEncoding to save into jpeg...
thanks!

Java Advanced Imaging does it nicely, take a look.
I do not remember the extact syntax right now, but have used it in the past.

    I was using photoshop CC as normal, when suddenly it started going haywire. It has corrupted all the open PSD files by distorting the images and colour. They are now completely unrecognisable and unusable. Does anyone know how to recover the original images as I was saving them as I went along but the files are now corrupt?

    What version of Photoshop are you running?
    I've seen a couple of instances over the last week or two where Photoshop has added masks, strange colours and also merged content from two separate PSD files that were open at the same time.
    This has occurred on two different iMacs, (both 10.10.x) running Photoshop CC 2014.2.2 (20141204.r.310 x64).

  • HT2008 Does anyone know how to save an ichat from my iphone to my mac laptop?

    A dear friend of mine passed away, and I want to save an important ichat of ours to my Mac laptop. (I believe part of the ichat an SMS text and part is an ichat but it shows up as one long text over several months). Does anyone know how to do this? I'm running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4. Thank you very much!

    HI,
    So this is a conversation that is on the iPhone that has taken place over a period of time and has involved SMS  and iChat type Messages.
    I did this on my phone
    Go to Messages
    Go to the conversation you want to "Save"
    Use the Edit top right.
    Scroll the Conversation to the top
    Tap each line you want to send (somewhere)
    Each will get a red tick and the Forward  and Delete option at the bottom become Active.
    Once I had several lines ready I chose the Forward Option and sent them to my Apple ID I use in Messages Beta  (i.e I sent is as an iMessage)
    The result is a single iMessage with all the lines (selected) justified to the left  (it does not separate you and your Buddy's parts)
    Picture
    If your iPhone is in the United States and the Carrier support AIM SMS forwarding you may be able to send it to yourself, in iChat, via that method.
    You may have some luck with http://www.apple.com/itunes/inside-itunes/2010/04/how-to-grab-screenshots-on-iph one-ipad-and-ipod-touch.html
    I have yet to find a way to email the Messages/Conversation.

    Does anyone know how I can add audio to a webpage without having to add an image and still be able to use the autoplay feature? Adding as hyperlink doesn't accomplish what I'm after. Thanks in advance for the education!

    You can use the "hidden" song file method...

    You don't have to hide it completely if you don't want to - just reduce it to a small dot.

  • Does anyone know how to save / preserve image maps when updating graphics?

    Hello all,
    I'm currently working on a RH7 HTML project, which I've designed to be used in support of a software application.
    Some of the application's dialogue boxes have quite complex multi-tabbed GUIs, so when it comes to describing their functionality, you often end up with a long list below the graphic image. What this means of course, is that the user is forever scrolling up and down to make reference between the GUI and the explanatory text.
    I hit upon an idea I'd used previously, whereby I created popups to multiple image map hotspots. It works like a dream and the client and users really like the concept - but there's a snag (apparently).
    Because the application is still in development. some of those GUIs are (and will continue to) change. No problem with that either - until I try and insert the updated graphic. Poof !! All my hotspots disappear . . .
    Surely I'm not alone in trying this approach and there must be some way of preserving the hotspots?
    Any suggestions?
    Bob (in a UK time zone)

    Hi there
    It sounds like you are using the standard methods of inserting an image. Don't do that!
    All you need to do in these cases is to use Windows Explorer to save the updated image using the same file name and replacing the former image. When you do this your other data will remain intact. If the new image is a different size, just right-click it inside the RoboHelp HTML editor and choose Reset Size. You also may need to tweak your hotspots if things shifted some.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Does anyone know how to save a document as a word document?

    Hello anyone out there?
    First of all thank you for the help. I am new to the program pages and I am trying type an old version of my resume and save it as a word document. I did check out the tutorial and I tried to follow the steps indicated there but the problem is that there is no "SAVE AS" as the option that I need to choose. Does anyone know why I dont get the option "SAVE AS"? is it because I am creating the document from scratch?
    Please help I need a job
    Sincerely
    Anonymous

    Thank you. I am new to word processing anything more than letters but have got myself into a real pickle with a 12 page document. I used pages but in future I will probably use Word, I have both. I worked out that a PDF exports a document fully but I do need to reorganise the pages and am really stuck.
    I have just posted this on the pages thread
    "I have created a 12 page document  which I want to create a newsletter out of in the format of an A5 pamphlet. So at the moment each page is an A4 size but I need to reduce the size to A5 so that I can fit 2x A5 pages on each A4 in the pamphlet.  It will also need to be double sided!  I seem to have fallen at the first hurdle ie reordering the pages in the document. I have searched the forums for help and everyone says its all about ceating sections. Well. when I click at the end of the page and go to INSERT then SECTION BREAK, the section break is greyed out.
    I have tried “showing invisibles” but this does not seem to make any difference.
    Its a word processing document to which I added text boxes, photos and colour fills.
    Can someone patient person kindly advise?
    Thank you.

  • Anyone know how to add a string to a 1d array with file info, then be able to read back, display string, and sort data array.

    I need to store a data array and include text that describes what the data is. (using for various configuration files.) Anyway, I would like to be able to save the string as part of the txt file, and somehow read it back, remove the (various length string), and display it in an indicator. All the while, not causing too much problem with the initial data array.
    Thanks in advance!!

    There are several ways to do what you require. A simple method would be to use an ASCII text file. When writing one of those, you just need to basically build a gaint string starting with the description text you want. We like to call that a header. Once you've got the header, make some sort of delimiter like a bunch of "-" or two sets of ( EOL = End of Line = CRLF = \r\n ). After your delimiter, concatenate your array in string form or flatten your array from its native form into a string and tack it on the file (append).
    See the (very quick) example attached.

  • How to save content of JPanel into jpeg or png file

    I have to independent classes: Class A and Class B. Each class constructs its own graphical objects:
    Class A {
    //do something
    public void paintComponent(Graphics g)
    int x = 0;
    int y = 0;
    int w = getSize().width;
    int h = getSize().height;
    bi = new BufferedImage(
    w,h,100,BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
    g2d = bi.createGraphics();
    // draw lines
    g2d.drawImage(bi,0,0,ww,hh, this);
    Class B {
    int x = 0;
    int y = 0;
    int w = getSize().width;
    int h = getSize().height;
    bi = new BufferedImage(
    w,h,100,BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
    g2d = bi.createGraphics();
    // draw lines
    g2d.drawImage(bi,0,0,ww,hh, this);
    Two buffered images get properly displayed within JPanel component. However, I need to save two those results into one file. If I add saving file routine into every class, at best I can only get them to be in two different files.
    Please let me know if anyone can help me with this problem.
    Thanks,
    Jack

    You didn't mention what should be the format of file that the combines the images. Here are two options:
    1. Create another BufferedImage, and draw the BufferedImages from class A and B over this BufferedImage and save it as JPEG or PNG.
    In each of the class, you can add a method like getBufferedImage(), which would return the local BufferedImage. A third class, say class C, needs to call this method in each of the classes, and then draw the BufferedImages returned by these methods over another BufferedImage. Save this BufferedImage as a JPEG or PNG.
    A disadvantage of this approach is that you can't easily retrieve the individual images from the resulting file.
    2. Create a single zip file by adding the individual JPEG/ PNG images created from the BufferedImage in class A and B.
    Here is an example that creates single zip file of JPEG images from an array of BufferedImageObjects:
    public static void zip(String outfile, BufferedImage bufimage[]){
         if(bufimage == null) return;
         try{
             File of = outfile.endsWith(".zip")? new File(outfile): new File(outfile+".zip");
             FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(of);
             ZipOutputStream zos = new ZipOutputStream(fos);
             for(int i=0;i<bufimage.length;i++){
                 try{
                    ByteArrayOutputStream boutstream = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
                    JPEGImageEncoder enc = JPEGCodec.createJPEGEncoder(boutstream);
                    enc.encode(bufimage);
    ZipEntry entry = new ZipEntry("bufimage"+(new Integer(i)).toString()+".jpg");
    entry.setMethod(ZipEntry.DEFLATED);
    zos.putNextEntry(entry);
    byte[] fileBuf = boutstream.toByteArray();
    zos.write(fileBuf,0,fileBuf.length);
    zos.closeEntry();
    } catch (Exception e){ e.printStackTrace();}
    zos.flush();
    zos.close();
    }catch(Exception e) {e.printStackTrace();}
    The above method uses the JPEG codec and the zip package, both of which available in J2SE. In other words, you need to import com.sun.image.codec.jpeg and java.util.zip packages.
    With this approach, you can easily retrieve the individual JPEGs using the java.util.zip package.

  • Anyone know how to save messages/photos once Ipod is in locked 'connect to iTunes mode'/recovery mode?

    Is there anyway to get back to normal mode after the image of the 'USB connect to iTunes' appears? I have many texts that I need to save, and I'm afraid the only way to exit this mode is to restore my iPod. I hope this could some how be avoided, whereas I could avoid restoring my ipod so that I could keep all my messages. Does anyone have a clue on how to fix this issue? Is there a way to save my data on my ipod, or exit this locked screen image while keeping my data? Please, anything helps!

  • Does anyone know how to save to sharepoint from Acrobat XI pro with SDK or Javascript?

    The goal is to have Acrobat Pro watch a folder, OCR any document that appears, then save it to sharepoint using the contents of the file name to determine certain meta data.
    If watching a folder is not practical then it can be run manually, but it would be better if it could watch the folder.  I tried searching but I am having difficulty finding examples of saving to sharepoint using the built-in javascript capability or the SDK.
    If anyone can point me to or show me an example of any of these issues I would appreciate it.  In the end I will need to find the documents, OCR them, take apart the file name to determine metadata and destination location, save to sharepoint, delete the original file.

    I think I will need to see a javascript sample that sets key metadata for the document to be saved, and some kind of documentation on how to tell the Action to save to sharepoint.  I assumed it would be pretty straight forward but I am having trouble finding any kind of documentation.
    Also as files are processed, I need to move them so they don't get processed again.  I was thinking that in addition to putting them in sharepoint it would make sense to move the move to a processed directory as a backup and delete the original.
    I did not see that option in action either, so I could use come guidance.

  • I am short of HD space to save the ipad ios5 download in itunes. Does anyone know how to save it to a location other than the c:?

    I have just bought an ipad2 (great except when have occaisonal wi fi issues) that I want to upgrade to ios5
    I have itunes on version 10.5.1
    When I plug in my ipad - I follow the route to obtaining the ipad update but it is 700MB and I have limited space on my c:. I have 4GB on my partioned D: and this is the location where I have my itunes media files, plus also some on a 1TB external HD
    It doesn't seem to matter what I do - but the ipad update seems to be being saved down to the C: [as I'm getting PC messages saying that I'm running out of space]. I've spent 2 nights stripping it back to free up 800MB but the ipad download stops at about 600MB
    Is there a way I can force the download to go to the D:, where I have plenty of space?
    Any ideas appreciated?
    Thanks

    How do you move the frame? Like I said, it is not how it was filmed.  In the smaller version that you can scroll through, it looks normal, but in the viewing window it looks like it is zoomed in.  I tried pinching with my fingers (how you would to zoom out of a photo) and it didn't work.
