Anyone know how to select only even or odd numbered files in lightroom? I need to reduce the quantity of images in my timelapse sequence and this would help me greatly since there are 8250 images and doing this maually would be tediuos and make me want to kill myself.... : )

Do this.
If they are jpegs, use .jpg instead of CR2
Be sure to save this as a preset, as you WILL need it again. Mine is named "select even CR2", that is why it says that in the upper right.

Hi Friend,
You need to connect your iPhone in your computer and open iTunes.
1. Place your rintones file (.m4r format, up 30 seconds) to a designated area (e.g. desktop)
2. Import your ringtones file into your LIBRARY, NOT directly into your iphone.
3. "TONES" or "RINGTONES" icon will appear on the left hand column under LIBRARY. (You should see Ringtones there. If not..... Click Edit --> Preferences --> General Icon Ensure that Ringtones is checked. If not, check it then click OK…)
4. Drag your ringtones file from your LIBRARY into your iphone.
5. "TONES" or "RINGTONES" icon will appear in your iphone under devices (the tab where Summary, Info, Apps, etc are located)
6. Click Under "TONES" or "RINGTONES" (as mentioned in Fifth) and tick SYNC tones.
7. Look inside your iphone... and there it is
*Set Message Notifications:
Settings > Notifications > Messages >
     Notification Center: ON
     Show: choose 1/5/10 Recent Items
     Alert Style
          choose Banners or Alerts
     Badge App Icon: ON
     Show Preview: ON
      Repeat: choose up to 10 times
     Show iMessage Alerts From:
          choose Everyone/My Contacts Only
     View in Lock Screen: ON
To see Notification Center, on Home Screen where your apps icons are, swipe from the top to the bottom.

Select a non-header cell in the table.
Open the Inspector and choose the Table Inspector.
Click to check the 'Alternating Row Color' box in the Cell Background section.
Click the Color well beside the check box to open the Color pane.
Choose a colour.
The alternating colours are applied only to the non-header rows and non-header columns in your table.

Does anyone know how to convert iTunes TV subscription downloads to files that I can put on a backup drive and watch on my TV vs. MacBook?

I purchased a TV series from iTunes and downloaded the HD version. I then copied it to a backup drive so I could plug it in to my DVD player to watch. This would not work. Does anyone know how to convert the files so they are watchable on TV rather than on my MacBook?

I'm new to Mac operating system. Can anyone tell me how to select multiple images in cs6 photoshop? Without having to hold down a shift or cmd key and clicking on each one.

I assume you are using the Shape tool to draw your hexagons. After you drag out the shape, use the Transform controls to tweak the size, so that the width is evenly divisible by 4, and the height is an even number. If you wand a gap between shapes, include that in your adjustments. Make a note of the new width and height.
Once the scaling is committed and the shape is selected, Control+Alt+T to Free Transform Copy, and in the Option Bar, set the X and Y to Relative. Set X to zero, and Y to the height you set earlier, and commit the Transform. Then Repeatedly press Shift+Control+Alt+T to make more transformed copies.
With a vertical column of shapes, Alt-Click on the Shape Path in the Paths panel to select the whole path. Control+Alt+T again. This time, again using relative, set X to three-quarters of the width you noted earlier, and Y to one-half the height, and commit
Finally, again Alt-click on the Shape Path in the Paths panel, and Transform Copy relative with X = one and a half times the width you noted, and Y to zero. After committing this, Shift+Control+Alt+T as above to extend more columns.

Does Anyone Know How to Select a Frame?

Hello Folks,
I am trying to select a certain frame (from three frames) to display only that particular frame's content. I'm doing this to select and display a certain hair_mc from a master layer.

I can't seem to figure out how to select the desired frame number. I'm obviously missing a few concepts. Do I create and insert the _mc on a keyframe, blanks kf, or regular frame? I've tried several times, but just can't figure it out.
Could somebody explain, in detail, how to do this in CS5.5?

Yes. It appears I changed the ones on the stage. I haven't (directly) touched or modified anything in the library.
I have run into another snag and it has to do with your last question.
I have a three-frame graphic that is playing like a movie. I thought I was to select the desired frame to show the position I wanted the hair to be. Without even getting that far, I set up the last keyframe and scrubbed the time line only to notice the three-frame succession.
One other thing was the webpage link above has these folks doing this with movie clips and not graphic files. Is this because they're working with earlier versions of Flash? Maybe the original files were movie clips and they changed them to graphic files?
More importantly, how do I remedy the problem with the three frames playing in succession?
There was this quote from the webpage: "They are all nested into a master hand symbol and each individual hand pose resides in its own frame. This is so I can control what hand is visible throughout the animation by controlling what frame of the symbol is displayed on the parent timeline." (I added the italics).
I wondering if I'm not correctly "nesting" them.

Selecting even or odd numbered files

I've got hundreds of files with the following naming scheme: "IMG_0001, IMG_0002," etc.
I need to select every other file ONLY... or just odd or even numbered files. Is there any way to achieve this on my Mac?
I've looked around a great deal and can't find a solution to this.

I've been making time-lapses and often have around 2000 high resolution DNG files. I recently made a mistake, where every other photograph had a slightly different exposure and needed to be moved to a separate folder. Manually selecting every other photograph was ridiculously tedious. I figured someone must have created some shareware for this, but it appears that no one has. Luckily, Martin Pace has come up with a creative solution that works great! See above.

Anyone know how to selecting a printer on 0S9?

I have and application on OS9 that has some information that needs to be printed. For some reason the default printer is set to color stylus pro, a printer that I don't have and never hooked up to this laptop. I am unable to change the defalt printer to one of my own. I cant seem to find the proper menu for this operation. If someone could give me a little insight on how I might be able to solve this problem it would be appreciated.

Hi, Rodrick -
If you use Desktop Printing, click once on the icon of the printer you wish to use; a new menu, Printing, should appear in the menu bar. You can set that printer as the default one in that menu.
I would also select the printer you want to use in Chooser, then close Chooser. Then open Extensions Manager control panel, and disable the Chooser Extension named Color StyleWriter; you can also disable all Chooser Extensions for other printers you will never connect to. Then restart.

Does anyone know how to make itunes to locate ALL unfound files??

i have a bunch of missing itunes songs.. no one really knows why itunes says they can't be found because the harddrive songs are already pointed to itunes
(might have something to do with the most recent iTunes update?)
basicaly, i am getting a bunch of exclamtion points next to the songs when i try to play them..??
i have not moved anything, but it's weird, when itunes asks you to locate the files, how does one select every song, as opposed to just one at a time, in order to get all the missing songs back?

I would pull your save data loop to it's own loop then make it event driven like I did in the example. This is just an example and there are probably ways to make the code better and faster but I am just trying to give you an example that we can build on. I am not reall sure what you itterations was for other than to give your loop enough time to save. By seperating the two loops the save no longer depends on the data acquisition loop.

On a Mac, 'home and 'end' take you to the beginning and the end of document, respectively. Getting to the beginning or end of a line is done with cmd- leftarrow and cmd- rightarrow. Emacs shortcuts, such a ctrl-a and ctrl- e also work in most places, where the app is done right.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone.
