Anyone know if O2 will lock my new 4S?
I am still under contract with iPhone 4, on O2.
Bought a 4S (unlocked) from UK Apple store.
If I use my new phone (4S) with the existing SIM card (from the old 4)
Will my new phone get locked to O2?
It doesnt matter that much - just like to know first! Thanks
I'll be doing the exact samething when I get my 4S from the Apple site.
The 4S will NOT be network locked.
This is from the Apple site:
"Do I need to commit to a long-term contract for my iPhone?
Buying an unlocked iPhone allows you to choose your own GSM carrier, change carriers at any time, and even use multiple carriers if you travel frequently."
The 4S will remain network unlocked even after you insert your O2 sim card in, So if at a later date you wanted to put in a Vodafone card for example, this sim card would work fine.

People at our company installed the latest Java for OSX 2013-004 1.0 Apple Update and all of our software installers failed to run anymore. The only way to kill the installer was Apple Menu -> Force Quit after that. We all had to downgrade to Java for OSX 2013-003 to work.Welcome to Apple Support Communities
I have heard problems with that update. Unfortunately, we don't know when an update will be available. Apple often releases Java updates at the same time as Oracle, but we don't know more things -
I have just purchased a new iMac OS Xlion version 10.7.3 and I'd like to install Windows. I have a disc for XP but the Boot Camp Assistant manual only refers to Windows 7. Please does anyone know if it will it work with XP.?
Get a Virtual Macine software program, Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox, and install XP in a virtual machine.
You can't install XP in a Boot Camp Partition with Lion or Mt Lion, only Win 7. -

Let's see if we can't get this phone working for you! What exactly is happening with the device? Is the screen just out and you can hear that it will still ring, or is the phone completely dead? Please elaborate more on what you are experiencing.

I have 4s. After I updated ios7.0.3 my wifi is geyed out. I expected after ios7.0.4 update wifi will work again, but does not. It annoying, because I have to use my data... Does anyone know when it will be fixed or does anyone have the same problem?
I have the same problem. After the upgrade, my wifi is greyed out, and the battery won't hold a charge long. I reset all the settings, tried all the things suggested by Apple, but it didn't work. I took the phone to Verizon, but they said they can't fix it, go to Apple
I made an appointment at the Genius bar, where the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive. A representative told me that the wi-fi is broken and I would need to buy a new phone for $200, because mine is out of warranty. I'm due for an upgrade in a few months, so I'm not going to pay $200 for another 4S now. I'm also not going to buy any more Apple products. Their upgrade caused this problem, and they are not standing behind their producet. -

Looks like it's only available in the US at the moment.When Apple tells us. They are pretty secretive about new developments until they are ready to announce them and we're just other users like you. If you want rumors, speculation and guessing you'll have to browse the web because we're not allowed to do any of that here.

Thank you for the question. Are you seeing the previous Apple ID in the iTunes and App Store? If you are, use these steps to sign in with your new Apple ID:
Sign in with a different Apple ID
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
Tap your Apple ID.
If you see the option to Sign In, you can change your Apple ID now.
Tap Sign Out.
Enter your Apple ID and Password and tap Sign In.
Or if you don't have another Apple ID, tap Create New Apple ID.

If you trying to change the Apple ID signed into iCloud, use these steps:
On your iOS device’s Home screen, go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Delete Account.

However, the top of range 3.0 Ghz Quad-core CPUs are 'only' available in their 80 Watt design yet (same consumption as current quad models used in the eight-core). Now, with Intel having announced a 65W version and Apple's drive for VERY low noise level, I'd not be surprised if Apple were to hold back until the 65 Watt edition is available.
But these are just my personal musings, I have no inside information. -

Anyone know when Apple will bring out a patch to fix the volume problem you get on mac mini after downloading OS 10.8.5?
Only Apple knows the answer to whether or not there is a verified problem and if so when will a fix be released. As is their custom, Apple does not talk about these things and the rules of these communities prohibit speculation about future udates or upgrades. It is probably safe to say if a fix is deemed necessary it will be called OS X 10.8.6.
