Anyone know tips for displaying through a projector? I've having problems!

Hi,
I'm using my Powrbook to lecture now and often connecting to an external projector. Boy, I can't seem to get the Mirror Displays to do what I want!
I.e. I want to project the DVD player, Power Point, AND documents onto the big screen overhead, while keeping the controls for all these things on my PERSONAL laptop screen -- and OFF the big screen! Anybody have a resource for where I can learn how to do all this stuff? It's pretty tricky!

Hi, foof. Display Mirroring is exactly what you don't want for your purposes. You want to use Extended Desktop mode, and drag the windows that you want your audience to see from the built-in display onto the external display (projector). This will leave the menu bar and your usual desktop items on the built-in display, and only the windows you drag onto the second display will appear to your audience.

  • Does anyone know how to display (in LabVIEW) the memory use during execution of an image and data acquisition VI to predict when it is time to cease the acquisition to prevent the program crashing?

Does anyone know how to display (in LabVIEW) the memory use during execution of an image and data acquisition VI to predict when it is time to cease the acquisition to prevent the program crashing?
I am acquiring images and data to a buffer on the edge of the while loop, and am finding that the crashing of the program is unpredictable, but almost always due to a memory saturation when the buffers gets too big.
    I have attached the VI.
    Thanks for the help

  • Does anyone know instructions for putting earpods back in the case?

Does anyone know instructions for putting earpods back in the case?

I finally figured it out.  Here is the sequence:
    1.  Insert left and right EarPods into proper slots.
    2.  Wind both wires counterclockwise one-half turn.
    3.  Slide left Earpod wire into bottom of middle slot.
    4.  Slide right Earpod wire with controller into top of middle slot.
    5.  Align controller in center of middle slot.
    6.  Make sure little white slider is pushed close to where wires divide.
    7.  Wind counterclockwise one full turn.
    8.  Wire divider should now be at bottom of case.
    9.  Wind counterclockwise four full turns.
    10.  Connector plug should now be on right side of case.
    11.  Close case, taking care not to pinch wires.

When my mac finally turns on the date/time is reset a windows pops up saying, "Your computer's clock is set to a date before January 1, 2008. This may cause some applications to behave erractically."

  • Cannot display through a projector

we have 2 macbook pros. My old one connects to external displays and projectors without any problem. My wife's new one however will connect to displays but not projectors. Obviously as I can get my laptop to do it I guess I know what I'm doing ..... so is there a fault on the new one or is there a trick I am missing?

Lukewarm13 I think you should start your own post with that question! personally I think you have a faulty unit.
Did some more testing. My wifes laptop will connect to the projector when using a different (short) vga lead and works fine. Then I can switch to the long cable and it still works fine! BUT if I restart the computer it again fails to work with the long cable until I have used the short lead first. weird!!!!
My laptop works fine first time with either cable!

  • Does anyone know BAdI for EEW table in Business Partner Master?

    Dear Experts,
We added the customer tables like ZBUT0000* in BP by EEWB tool
and these tables appears in "Customer Data" tab successfuly.
Now we would like to do the input value check when users create/change the businesss partners in T-cd:BP,
but could not find any BAdI or customer exit.
BAdI "BUPA_FURTHER_CHECKS" seems to be good, but this BAdI is called by BAPI and not by T-cd:BP.
We think BAdI "BUPA_GENERAL_UPDATE" can be used, but we want to run the input value check
at the timing of pressing ENTER key, not the timing of before-saving.
Does anyone know which BAdI can be used?
If any further information is required, please let us know.
Any advice would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    F.T.

    Hi,
please use any ways for search Badi's:
    http://abap-explorer.blogspot.com/2008/07/how-to-search-for-badis-click-here.html
    for example:
    Method 3: Using FM SXV_GET_CLIF_BY_NAME.
These steps should enable you to find any BADI related to any transaction in a matter of minutes.
    1) Go to the transaction SE37 to find your function module.
    2) Locate the function SXV_GET_CLIF_BY_NAME.
    3) Put a BREAK-POINT there.

  • Does anyone have tips for using iphone with Microsoft Outlook ?

The functionality of the Iphone operating system with MS Outlook is very poor compared to a Blackberry.  Does anyone know how to:
    - Sort by name (the Iphone only sorts by subject, or "threads") ?
    - Sort Sent mail (the Iphone only sorts e-mails in the inbox) ?
    - Combine e-mails in the Inbox and Sent folders into one sort ... instead of sorting each mailbox separately, be able to combine them and then sort "?
    - Forward a meeting notice ?
    - Reply to all the invitees on a meeting notice ?

iPhone =/= iPod. You could go Ford or the site for MS sync and probably find which devices are officially supported.
Edit - So I just went too the site. It seems the compatibility varies between different configurations and between different models. I just looked at one, and the Ford Escape Hybrid with GPS system and all the stuff supports the iPhone 2.0. Mobiles are listed by carrier, so some may and some may not. So you would have to select what model Fusion you are considering and what options it may have.

I have 1600 emails in my icloud box....does anyone know how to delete them all at one time without having to do each one individually?

    Hey Koyster,
Great question. Utilizing iCloud.com, we may be able to purge these emails in a much faster way:
    iCloud: Delete email

    Delete messages
    - On your Mac, Shift-click to select multiple adjacent messages or Command-click to select multiple nonadjacent messages.
    - On your Windows computer, Shift-click to select multiple adjacent messages or Control-click to select multiple nonadjacent messages.

  • Hello. Does anyone know password for: EOS 7D Mark II AF-Setting Guidebook? Thank you.

I just downloaded this pdf guidebook from Canon Digital Learning webpage.

Large companies compartmentalize their operations to protect the integrity of their cost centers and to give their managers other managers to compete against for promotions, etc. Canon USA won't answer your question because they're paying for this forum and don't care to save money for, say, Canon Europe at their own expense.
I once helped design a financial system for a large American automobile manufacturer. They were very concerned about the security of their data, but their primary concern was not that the data would fall into the hands of their competition. Rather it was that one division's data might fall into the hands of a competing division of their own company. I don't suppose it's cause and effect, but that company has since been through bankruptcy at least once.

  • I'd like to know tips for sharing apps between my wife and myself on two iPads with two apple IDs and one computer.

I'm new to iTunes, app store, and managing content on two iPads and an iPod. I manage both iPads and an iPod on one computer, but we have two apple IDs. All my music is on a home-theatre pc. I don't really understand home sharing yet, and I am hoping for some tips from experienced users to keep me from losing content, or mixing up apps and confusing digital rights etc.

You cannot share apps, or any other content purchased from the iTunes Store, between two different Apple IDs.  Those purchases are tied to the Apple ID.

  • Anyone knows Code For Text Background Color

Hello Everyone. I am making a game Black Jack. I did averything the game is working perfectly but with one BUG!. I put a picture of casino table in the backgground...and when i ask the user to enter if he wants to hit or stay ...my backround color where im typing is WHITE ...so it screws half of the picture...it goes over the picture.....so im wondering if there is a code to set textBackgroundColor to "TRANSPARENT"...so when i enter "hit" or "stay"...it just types the words put behind the words is the picture i set...not the white background behind the text....i dont know if you can understand me good....but tnx for help anyways!!

  • Does Anyone Know How to Display Number of Items in a Folder?

After "upgrading" to Lion, none of my folder display the number of items in the folder --a nice bit of information that was available in earlier versions of the operating system.  Is there an automatic way to see that information? [I imagine there are other really inconvenient ways, but is there a nice CONVENIENT setting I haven't figured out?]  THANKS.

From your View menu in Finder choose "Show status bar"
EDIT: Also there is QuickLook which is no longer on the toolbar of the Finder window but you can choose from "Customize Toolbar".

  • Is anyone using PAM for archiving e-mail? I am having trouble opening archived e-mail attachments using Firefox. I know the reason for this is part of the url gets left out when using Firefox. Works fine with Internet Explorer.

This part of the path https://mail.domain.org/owa/ (see below) when place in allows Firefox to open the attachment.

Autodiscover service on Exchange seems to be ok from the result of testing. We might change our mind and check if this is a network issue.
If you are using Windows 7 or higher version OS, try to run the following command in CMD to disable the Autotuning function:
Netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled
