Anyone know why CTRL-F2 no longer moves control to the menu bar?
In earlier versions of OS X, one could control drop downs from the menu bar using keyboard commands. In Safari, for example, CTRL-F2 would highlight the File menu. Arrow keys would allow the user to drop down the menu and select a command for execution, such as Import Bookmarks. I can't seem to get either that or CTRL-F3, which would do the same for the Dock. Thanks.
Both Control + F2 and Control + F3 work fine on my iMac, although when I use the combo in programs the Apple Menu Icon gets highlighted (not the File Menu) and I have to use the arrow keys to move to the menu I want to drop down.
I'm using the older wireless keyboard with numeric keypad, so there are no fn keys to worry about.

No, but if you really mean that the way you said it, I don't know that Print is the best way to this. If you haven't already, after selecting the images you want to get printed, try clicking the Export button in Book or Library module and then selecting format .PDF. Once you export the file to .PDF, try opening it where you saved it and printing from there, not in Lightroom but in Adobe Reader. If that doesn't help, here are a couple of videos that might--follow their instructions carefully with no shortcuts:

If Lightroom keeps closing even when you try all this, you may need to reinstall Lightroom because your copy may be screwed up. -
My search bar for my iTunes library no longer works. Also, the menu bar is no longer visible. Noticed this problem last Saturday. This might be an issue with my desktop, and not iTunes itself Can anyone help me with this?

When you say that the "search bar for my iTunes library no longer works" can you be more specific? The operation of the search function has changed in iTunes 12, essentially having two very distinct modes:
when Search Entire Library is checked, entering a search string will generate a dropdown of all matching items within your whole library, from which multiple operations are available via context menus
when Search Entire Library is unchecked, entering a search string creates a filtered view of whatever your current focus is (e.g., if you're looking at a playlist the filter applies only to items in that playlist) with none of the dropdown options as in the first case -

Now you've really lost me. How did we change the subject from not being able to play any movies from ichannel to being able to see the movie but not have sound to now iTunes not wanting to play downloaded movies.
Sounds to me like you have multiple issues... focus on one thing at one time.
Do ichannel movies play on your Mac without issues?
Are you trying to play stuff off your Mac onto your TV and are having video or sound issues? How are you connecting the Mac to your TV? (Output and cable usage, etc.)
In iTunes once a movie finishes downloading, it'll be listed in your Movie section, just click play from there. It should play unless iTunes is unstable or something. Quitting the app and restarting it via the iTunes menu should fix this unless the app itself has other issues. -

I have purchased an audio book from iTunes with my iMac.
Now I wanted to listen to it on my iPhone so I proceeded to transfer the purchase and looked for the book in the purchased section of the store in the iTunes on my iPhone but it did not show up.
Does anyone know why and how I can transfer the audio book purchased on my iPhone so I can listen while away from the desk?

Note you have to check the boxes in Books pane for the iPod in iTunes to sync books in general and another box to sync Audio Books. -

Anyone know how to fix this problem..... I am trying to update and download the latest version for my phone and it gets all the way to the end and says network timed out error 3259 or something. I have tried a so many times and get the same answer. I have restarted the computer, internet, etc. NOTHING. HELP!!!
Are you doing this over a wireless network. This happened a long time ago when we had DSL. I got sick of it and went to broadband thru our cable company.
If you are using wireles router, use a cable and connect your computer via the cable to the modem or wireless router if you have a location for the cable upon the wireless router. I think it is a cat 5 cable that connects the computer to your modem or wireless router. This way you Internet should not time out.
I hope this helps you. It is hard to identify the issue not knowing your Internet connect setup. Some modems and wireless routers have more Port options. -
downloaded madagascar 3 and every 15 minutes or so the movie would pause on screen but the sound would keep playing normal, each time i just backed out, then pressed play, resume, and boom, bad copy maybe? busy internet day?

happens with multiple sources (iTunes, Hulu, netflix) - I've done a full restore via hooking the device (3rd gen) up to iTunes via mini-USB, etc.
same issue persists. This did *not* occur prior to the last AppleTV software update

Im running a disk from a text book and the window is stuck in the corner and i cant seem to get it to move. Ive tried restarting the computer and the disk, moving it to trash, changing screen resolution, using mission control, command+M, and nothing is working. Everytime I open it up it goes back to the same location on the screen. HELP!
Remove the disc and don't use it again.

Bookmarks reappearing in old folders, does anyone know why?
I switched a few bookmarks from one folder or category to another one a few weeks ago. Today the bookmarks were back in their original folders or category. For example, I had apple.com in folder called daily links, moved it to favorite sites, then it reappeared in daily links, and it was still in favorite sites, so it did not disappear from the new folder.

you already have your self-contained .mov, right?
that's the file that you are importing into compressor?
from what you say, it seems like you are choosing presets, correct?
you are not accessing the files while they are compressing are you (opened in FCP for example)?
what else are you running on your G5 while you are compressing?

OK so I have deactivated and uninstall the version off the old laptop, then reinstalled the version on the new laptop. When you go to open a document it says it wants to do an upgrade check for some reason, anyone know why this is? It will not take the serial number after that and it doesn't show the version we have in the drop down list.

What operating system are you running on the new laptop? If it's a current OS, then it may be incompatible with Acrobat 9. Please see https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-acrobat-family-prod ucts.html.
It could also be that you're trying to install an upgrade, and the installer is looking for the serial number for the previous version (is the previous version listed in the drop-down list?).
