After I installed iOS 6.0, first thing I noticed was that YouTube was gone. Since I couldn't find the same youtube at apps store, I decided to install something similar. But it has been showing " installing", and "waiting " for almost a week. And I can't cancel it, either. Up to now, I still have YouTube, Line, Ted, etc. in the process of installing. I don't know what to do?

Does anyone know how to uninstall MacKeeper? Im pretty sure it is Maleware!

I have installed this program on my computer. I clicked on a pop which suggested they were selling a MAC cleaning software.
It did not suggest I had a virus but that it would help keep my desktop clean. When I checked the website it clearly had a bunch of fake recommendations/user comments. I was asked to give my card details over etc. Once I realized what was going on I tried to uninstall the program. But then a window pops up asking the user for their password and to select the reason why they want to cancel their subscription and will not allow you to close the window.Does anyone know of this particular virus/software and how to get rid of it. DESPERATE for some advise.

Anyone know how to uninstall Final Cut Studio?

I've attempted 3 installs and at the very end it says there were errors (of course, it doesn't say what errors), and to try again. Well, after 20+ hrs. into this I think it's time to start with a clean slate. But I can't find anything online on how to uninstall Final Cut Studio. I found several links to some mysterious document 93150, but apple's site doesn't have it anymore. Yeah, my luck.
If anyone could help me on this, you're sure to get lots of good karma this weekend, maybe even into the week.

Yeah, the Knowledge Base documents to uninstall FCP 4 or higher no longer exist. (only the doc for FCP 3 exists) That being said, the Troubleshooting Basics for Final Cut Pro 5 document does detail how to trash receipts and reinstall. Haven't needed to try it myself (knocking on wood) but I take it you've have and it still hasn't worked out for you?

I recently downloaded IOS 7.0.2 believing it to be a fix to a vulerablity as Apple's update notice stated. It infact proved to be a complete revison of IOS 7.0.1 and now I find myself stuck using what I consider a less than stearling Graphic/Human interface. I am more than willing to live with the vulnerablity in IOS7.0.1 just to haved the app graphics I enjoyed; a phone book that looked like a phone book, a note pad that actually looked like a note pad, and a internet browser I could easly deal with. I know why Apple did what they did but I would have liked to have the choice to revert back to IOS 7.0.1 on the off hand chance IOS 7.0.2 didn't satisfy me.

I can not hear music in iTunes when I select a song for play in the "Store", but I can when I select them from my Library? I can hear music offered in "iTunes Preview", just not in the actual store. Contacted Apple Support and was advised to uninstall/re-install iTunes, but found you can't do that because it is integral to OSX? I previously downloaded Audirvana software after reading about it in Stereophile Mag. I could hear Store songs with the original version of Audirvana, and later updated it. After the update, no audio in the Store. I've had no luck with email exchanges to date with Audirvana, or with Apple Support. Any suggestions appreciated...

Try opening Audirvana and in the "Audirvana Plus" menu uncheck "iTunes Integrated Mode".

I came back to this forum to share my experience. I'm working with a 2007/08 - 17" MB Pro. With the LEOPARD OS, not Snow Leopard. I used my original discs and reformatted, reinstalled Leopard. I was able to open Time Machine and restore the files saved on on an external drive. I used this time to make changes to my Apps, and having just doubled my RAM prior to the 'Lion Upgrade', had no issues of slowing or freezing as others are apparently having. Like you, this was relatively painless, though it did take some time to transfer all of my files.
I hesitated performing this process for nearly a month, but kept checking my back-ups to ensure that I had still some saved from the Leopard days. Unfortunately, I was unable to do much of anything. I'm a graphic designer and sell items online, EVERYTHING came to a complete stop with Lion. I couldn't communicate with my printer at all, no fax, no copies, no prints, no scans. I couldn't download images from my camera. Some of my Apps, stopped working, I hated the missing 'Save As' feature. My image viewer and browsers crashed constantly, and my home network 'LOST' me! I couldn't take another day of NO productivity!
My advice to anyone changing or upgrading ANY O.S., whether Mac or PC, always; ALWAYS back up your drive first! We should be backing up often anyway, but it is certainly important to ensure the security of all of your files and program downloads or installations by copying everything prior to making any hardware or software changes. For a small investment of $50 to $100, you can get an external drive. Having the capability of restoring all of your data is . . . priceless!
Thanks everyone for sharing. Good luck to those experiences these problems. Have Faith, Apple will fix it's issues, and the other manufacturers WILL catch up on the driver codes. We all just need to be patient, until then; keep on 'backing up'!
*** JJ; were you able to restore an earlier back up? Did that fix your issue? I found a great deal on RAM from Crucial, sometimes this will help increase our speed and performance . . . . just a thought.

IPod 1st gen does not work after upgrade to iOS 3.1.3. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I upgraded my iPod 1st Generation from 1.1.5 to iOS 3.1.3. through iTunes. After it went through the upgrading process, I received the error message, "iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (6). I went to another PC and was able to restore to the original version. However, I would like to be able to upgrade to 3.1.3 so that I can buy some Apps that requires 3.1.3. Does anyone know how to fix this or have any suggestions? Thanks.

After being tricked by the fast talking smoothy helper at Apple store in London to buy a micky mouse ipodtouch (fourth generation) two years ago I am stuck at ios 4.1 and find that all the useful applications need 4.3 or more. So I went to the trouble of letting the macbook stay open all night to load yet another micky mouse version of itunes so that I can upload the more recent version of ios and now (since I don't want to continually have a lot of rubbish on the ipod I disabled the automatic sync "feature") I can only go round in circles whereby the only real possibility left is to turn on the autosync feature. I have had messages like "your ipod will be completely erased if you proceed" and "do you wish to fiddle another few days with this nasty system, then click on continue" and so on.
Does anyone know how to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.3 ios?
That would be great (maybe) because otherwise I will toss this children's waste product on the floor and set up my HD camera to show how easy it is to smash the brightly lit screen into pieces and relieve myself of trash which Apple sell to unsuspecting gullible humans who believe that they are not being tricked by such a nice company who produce shiny colourful gadgets which only work for a month or two before becoming 100% obsolete.

1. There is nothing "mobile" under Application Support. For whatever reason.
2. Devious - that Apple has set up iPod to not show in Finder - a red herring and sign that corruption is visible.
I will try iFunBox next and it sounds like they provide this for the more serious users but use a trivial name to excuse further strangeness.

and so we are back to where we always land - the user is left in the Apple designed sabotage situation which annoyed me so much initially.
"Most users will give up at this point, loose all the data or buy yet another disposable from Apple. Recheck: Under Application Support "mobilesync" folder has appeared (MobileMeSyncClient has also appeared [while again trying to update iPod] with zero size) - Good news, a Backup file is there, but it is only 3GB while my iPod has 32GB and is close to full (800MB free space).

So it looks like I may have lost all the important pictures documenting various items all around Europe for the last two years - luckily I moved a year ago from the iPod toy camera to a Panasonic real camera with SD card which can be read on any computer. Hence important items lost may only be older than one year rather than the most recent items.
Glad I have changed to Panasonic since they don't try to screw you when you don't use their system.
I will now check the "more information" rather than just click on "OK" since I am of the 3% who "don't accept cr*p".
For full information I quote that the iPod now shows a screen with a USB ikon, an upward arrow and an iTunes ikon (all micky mouse language which reduces transparant, clear and technical discussion and thus covers the trail of "where things went wrong").
The iPod is still attached to the computer but the above MMTALK may mean that the iPod should be attached via USB to the mac. I record much of this activity on Video to be able to later prove EXACTLY what occurred, rather than having to rely on screenshots and opinions. We are after all dealing with important items which may later be required to be shown in court, as evidence against fraudsters.

But since I have not removed the USB and keep returning to this message I am able to write for a few seconds (now 30 seconds or more) and the message remains on the screen but not blocking this conversation. It appears to be random but in fact as you can later see from the video, it is not reappearing each periodic number of seconds but as I reach a new comment.
I will try to close iTunes so that this can be stopped (I clicked on OK and it appeared another few times, each time I clicked on ok and now it has left me in peace to write here although iTunes is still not yet closed).
Difficult to log down all the strange behaviour but I think you can get the gist of what is going on.

Should I remove the iPod and stop iTunes? I have a nasty feeling turning to indifference since I have video footage which will verify all the above in a court of law if later required. The truth must always win over any devious attempts at forcing people to do things they don't want to ;-)

The feature has been removed to make safari even less useable. You need to download a third party browser like atomic web browser to get the functionality you want back.
Like many new IOS 7 "features", safari on the ipad is a FAIL.
At least you can now bury safari in a folder containing hundreds of icons that you can only view 9 at a time.
