Anyone NOT having problems with ITunes 8 and latest firmware update???

I have really been put off updating to ITunes 8. The firmware update appears to be doing well. Is there anyone that uses a MacBook like myself who have had absolutely NO problems with new Itunes and firmware update? Answers on the back of a £50 note....

Not having issues now that I have updated all i(hardware) firmware to version 2.1, two phones and an iPod Touch, all work fine (So Far) (knocking on wood). As far as iTunes goes I have mixed feelings. It's a bit faster and more stable, however they removed the "Burn CD" ability from the software. That blows a bit as I would make CD's from some of my play lists to play in the car. Yes I can dock my devices in the car, but as a matter of convenience it's easier to fire up the CD when your in a rush.

MacFixit is an excellent trouble shooting sit. However, do not forget what their business model is: trouble with Macs. If anyONE post a problem, they post a fix. The point is: ONE.
Please search the Apple discussions and you will find very few reports about problems with QuickTime 7.1. In fact, it's one of the updates with the lowest number of problems in a long time.
But if you want to watch the grass growing, you better wait untill Apple releases QuickTime 11.8 in April 2024 - and hope it does not cause ANY problems to ANY user in the several million installations worldwide.

Make sure you have checked off iCloud contacts in your Contacts app under Groups in upper left corner.

Anyone else having problem with RAID and iTunes syncing photos in Vista?

For whatever reason iTunes can not load some of the photos from C drive. It can do it from D drive, though VERY slow. Both C and D are NTFS system, but C is a RAID 0 drive (implemented by hardware on motherboard, Intel 82801G controller). I just wander if this is something related to iTunes not working correctly with RAID drivers, or is it something else? I should say that ALL other programs and games working fine on this drive.

The problem is with Windows Vista using the NTFS file system, check out this post for the official solution. This has worked perfectly for me everytime I've tried it:

I'm having problems with Windows7 and latest itunes

There seems to be a compatibility issue with Windows7 and the latest version of itunes. The app will initailly launch when you boot up the pc, but if you exit and try to relaunch the app it dos not respond. I've installed an older version and it seems to work fine.
Any ideas?

Weird stuff happening with my iTunes. On Tuesday I downloaded the new iTunes as I just got my 1st ever iTouch...64GB. I also bought my wife a Shuffle for the gym. I already have a shuffle for the gym. I created a new Playlist for my Wife's iPod and started adding tunes for her. I also tweaked my my iPod shuffle list with some new tunes and removed some others, I didn't sync it at this point. I hooked up my iTouch and downloaded the entire library to it and everything seems fine. On Wednesday I bought Frank Sinatra tunes and put them on my iTouch. Still everything is fine. I decide to go to the gym today and remember I hadn't updated my gym iPod shuffle yet, so I hook it up...it gets swiped clean!!! Nothing on there now.
All songs are listed, but when I click on it to just try and listen to it,it says "The Song "xxxxxxxetc..." could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?"
All album artwork is gone, only songs I can access are the Frank Sinatra songs.
Needless to say, I've started a file with Apple and got their phone # which I'll call 1st thing in the morning at 9AM eastern!!!
Apple better fix this...I'm due for a new laptop and desktop. My kid uses Apple at school so it's only natural that I get an Apple Desktop and Laptop. If Apple doesn't fix, I'll buy PC...

Iomega network drive no longer connects under iTunes 10.5 - lost access to all my songs. Anyone else having problems with iTunes 10.5 / IOS 5?

I have an Iomega 500Gb network drive (Connects via CAT5 cable to hub) It contains all of the music in my iTunes. It worked fine until I upgraded iTunes to 10.5 (and installed IOS5 / iCloud). Now, I can no longer access ANY of the music. The drive shows as a device in iTunes, but when I click it, it displays the songs for a split second, but they then disappear and I connot access them. The Iomega drive functions normally when accessed via a Windows browser.
Anyone else with this problem?

FYI: It seems it was a network problem with my WinXP PC. After complete deletion and new installation of XP and iTunes my iPhone will be recognized correctly, Wifi synchronization works (mostly) fine.

When I move the mouse down the bottom of the page my dock doesn't come up right away, sometimes it won't - I have to command tab to go to another program.

Is anyone else having problems with iTunes 11.3.1.2 for windows8 64bit? Whenever I start it up, it crashes immediately.

I cannot run iTunes 11.3.1.2 and I cannot figure out how to reinstall the older version that it replaced. Any help?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

Problems with E71 and fearing firmware update

Hello, I currently have a Nokia E71 with phone software version 200.21.118 Installed and here are the following problems that i am facing
I cant install or run java apps anymore and whenever im trying to open a secure page on the internet my phoine locks up
also im having other problems with a few other apps locking up when they go online.
I thought that maybe updating the software will fix the problem
the fear that i have is i payed $700AU for this phone and im scared that updating it would make things worse or fatal

I fixed it! After calling Apple support, we tried every kind of reboot you can think of:
command-option-P-R
Command-option-R
Shift key down
unplug
unplug and hold in start button for 30 seconds
Nothing worked. So I was going to take it in to the "Genius" bar, but I tried one more thing. I unplugged everything from the Mac - monitors, USB, ethernet, everything. Rebooted and waited for a minute. I then plugged one of my monitors in and voilá! the progress bar was there. So there you go - good luck!

Sync problems with itunes and latest IPod nano

I have the latest IPod touch and later purchase the latest IPod Nano for GF. My problem is I can't sync itunes with Nano, my current itunes library is sync with my IPod touch.
How can we manage a reciprocity where itunes enables accessibility for Nano to sync with my itunes library has it does recognize my IPod Touch.
Hope you understand my problem, looking for your kind assistance.

There should be no problems connecting and syncing two different iPods with one iTunes library. In fact there is NO limit to the number of iPads, iPhones, and iPods you can sync to one computer/iTunes library.
There are several ways to manage multiple devices with one library. All of them are described in more detail in this Apple support document.

Having problems with iTunes and windows 8

I recently bought a new windows 8 laptop and at fiirst my music library was in the cloud through itunes match. Music played through the speakers, and through the headphone jack. But it seems that when I used iTunes match to download the library to my new laptop I have not been able to play anything on iTunes, the time indicator moves and shows playback but no sound. Help.

Is anyone else having problems with scrolling and games since the recent iOS7.1 update?

The scrolling on my iphone 5s has gone haywire since the recent update to iOS7.1.
Its worse in Twitter and FB. When trying to scroll down the page its sending you up the page or its just flashing and not scrolling at all.
When playing games it seems to be taking ages for certain games to catch up and the touch screen doesn't seem to work.

Did you do a reset?
Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data

Is anyone else having problems with SMS the new IOS update.

When trying to send an SMS sometimes it just hangs with the circle going round and around or it will not let me hit the send button at all and I have to shut my phone down completely and restart it, then do the message all over again. Very annoying especially if the message typed out is a long one.

After the second attempt to get this to DL and install and getting the same thing
ie DL finished, Install Done and nothing happening it has occured to me that maybe Apple has some restrictions on upgrading from Snow Leopard.
…but as usual, doesn't say and hasn't programmed the Installer to correctly parse the environment and provide feedback.
