Anyone notice...??

has anyone noticed in the iPhone Keynote that when steve is showing the email app that he has a split screen (top different emails and bottom is the email that is selected.) And also there are 2 buttons on the top screen that have the different views. I like the way that works, is there a setting i can change to view my emails like that?

There is not a setting to change this.
While I do not personally remember this, it is possible (even likely) that he had a pre 1.0.0 version of the firmware which was changed before launch day.

How many photos do you have in your iPhoto library? As your library grows, it will take more time to load when the app launches.Personally, I have not noticed any slowdown.
And my question was meant to find out whether you import process had gotten slower than...a year ago, a month ago, compared to other photo apps? Running Mountain Lion..since you upgraded? In the end..what? Hence, I asked.

Correction - I HAVE reported the fault to Apple and to my network provider who have informed me that they have received numerous complaints from their customers and are sending out replacements to them and to me. As I hadn't stated what steps I had taken in my original post you shouldn't be so fast to assume what I have or have not done.

What you posted looks like the iTunes Library.xml file I will let you read about how iTunes works but not only is the .xml not your main library it is just the listing of tracks in your library and where the music files should be located. Your music is actually in media files (by the way, it is pointless to zip those as they are already compressed). Anyway, read these and you will see that your true library file (iTunes Library.itl) is only a small, but still important, part of a complete library.

As you can see, a library has several components, so "getting it back" depends upon what is missing, what it was you actually backed up in the end, if any of this music was purchased from the iTunes Store, etc.

Anyone Notice Wirless Sync

Anyone notice that you don't need to have the phone plugged in for it to sync wirelessly? They seem to stress that the phone needs to be plugged in for it to sync. Is that a bug or something?

I have had this exact same thing happen to me. It is really annoying to have those pauses. Some songs have multiple pauses. I hope this is resolved when the final product is released.

Yes Jason, I had the same problem you seem to be describing. It's been happening for a couple of days now (at least since I noticed) and I was able to get it to work tonight. I finally installed the new upgrade and once I did, iTunes was once again available. So if you haven't taken the update, I'd recommend maybe trying that. At least it worked for me, though I don't know why.

Anyone notice distorted bass in songs after updating to iOS 5

I have a 4th gen Ipod Touch and just upgraded to iOS 5 today. When I play a song the bass sounds all distorted and rattles as if I am using incredibly cheap headphones or something when I am using good quality Bose headphones. I did not notice this in iOS 4. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did you fix it. I am thinking or resyincing and setting up my ipod as a "new ipod" to see if that works, but have to wait until after work.

Anyone notice a factory protective overlay on their 3G screen

I was using my iPhone 3G today and noticed something I have not noticed before.
Has anyone noticed that there seems to be some short of protective shield on the touch screen? I noticed this because when i looked at the speaker area and the home button area I can clearly see that some sort of film is stuck on top of the glass.
Has anyone else noticed this? What is this film for? Can I remove it?

As I stated, there's not one pre-installed on new iPhones. If you purchased your phone used, one may be on there. Also, if you received a refurb phone in exchange for a defective one, there may be a protector on there (they are supposed to replace the case, not sure if they replace the glass; I know that I have returned iPhones with the protective film I installed left in place).
If there is one on there, it's safe to remove it if you want. You can remove the films by applying a piece of transparent tape (e.g. Scotch® tape) and lifting from the corner.

Anyone notice that Firefox downloads and load a page a lot slower then Dolphin HD? That has been my experience all morning. I'm on Verizon Droid 2.
I been testing various web pages using Dolphin & Firefox Mobile, and I have noticed that in general, web pages takes longer to download and slower to render in Firefox Mobile then in Dolphin HD. It is not a cache issue as I clear my cache between tries.

If you feel as though your Shuffle has a slight defect, it might be worth having it looked at by bring it into your local Apple Store/Genius Bar. Otherwise, if it is functionality properly, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
