Anyone recognize this mother board

I sure would appreciate some information about this mother board:
http://paulpinkstaff.com/20100116_Compaq_mother_board_web_ready/20100116_Compaq_mother_board/index.h...
Some day, when I can get some money together, I would like to try and get a system up and running that is based on the mother board.

Thanks very much,
I did not realize this was PA-RISC architecture, but given that, I am not sure if I will try to get it  running.  Most of my systems are old and slow so that is not much of a problem for me.  I currently have one PA-RISC box.
Thanks again,

The middle one, on the sword... can anyone identify this font? It dates back to roughly 1998.

Yes, but I very quickly made the background of the image black in Photoshop to make it work.

  • Anyone recognize this error message?

Getting this lately.  Not sure which software 'vendor' to look at for a fix.  Anyone?
The system extension “/System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext” was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product’s vendor for an update.
    Thanks much!

If you are willing to use the Terminal try this:
Open Terminal in your Utilities folder. At the prompt paste the following:
         sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext
Press RETURN. Enter your admin password when prompted. It will not echo to the screen so type carefully. Press RETURN again.
    Restart the computer.

  • Anyone recognize this Window or LAF?

I found a screenshot of this window by accident.
I like the LAF but dont recognize it.
Is it a native LAF to some OS or is it a Java LAF?
    Thanks.

    Hi!
My guess is that it's the native LAF for windows with some skin applied, like those at http://www.wincustomize.com for example..

  • Anyone recognize this?

I am trying to re-produce this effect. I recognize the background effect called "ethereal" in the 'Synthetics" group, but not the rest. I am looking for the text effect that makes the ray of light shine through the text. Is that a plugin?

I would bet on Trapcode Shine.

  • Anyone recognize this font? Client gave us vectorized number set but not the font.

I'm building a flash app that has a lot of dynamic content so I need this font so I don't have to replace each number with a vector graphic. The client doesn't have the actual font and they do not know what it is.
Hopefully you can see this link - http://i.imgur.com/cLrca.jpg
Thanks in advance for you help.

    Hi Tai Lao,
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately all I have of the type is 0-9, "$" and a ",".  And I just have vector graphics, not editable text whose font I can check. I looked at Russell Square but the numbers did not match.

  • Anyone recognize this paper stock?

An older gent came in for new bus cds. This was done a long time ago. The stock is something Regency or one of the other invite companies used to carry. Haven't had an invite catalog in at least 5 years. He authorized me to special order if I can find it and get it in small quantities.
The stock feels glossy but could simply be laminated. I bumped up the contrast so you can see the pattern. Any brand or name for this paper would be appreciated.
I already googled marble cover stock and didn't find anything.
    Thanks in advance.

That is a current offering in the Admore Folder Line.   12 pt Green Marblecoat

  • K9AGM2 Mother Board, Related to the USB Ports

I have had this Mother Board for about 3 years now and ever since I have had it. I can't seem to get any speed out of the USB ports. They all seem to be 1.1 and they should support 2.0. I downloaded Live Update 5 and installed some drivers and carp like that. I scanned the drivers for virus and so on and I still can't get any speed. I try and copy files from my HDD to a USB 2.0 SATA Drive and I can't get any thing better then 4.x to 5.x Mbps. and using USB 2.0. I should be able to get 480Mbps. I didn't see any thing in the Bios to change it or to set it. It seems to be running at 1.1 speed.
Does any one have any ideas on how to get these USB ports working up to speed.

Sorry, No that didn't work. and from what I been reading that 480 Mbps is not a theoretical. From what I have fount that the drivers are not setup and that the drivers should say USB2 in the descriptions and they don't on my PC. I have 4 other PC's and they all have USB2 in the descriptions in the Drivers list. So for some reason this PC has defaulted back to USB 1.1. and I don't know why.
I tried to update the drivers. I tried to remove them and reboot. and I still get the same results. when I try and copy 2 gigs worth of file from my HDD to my Flash Drive and it says I will take 3 hours to do that. Then I know there's some thing wrong. I tried the same thing on one of my other PC's and when I copy 2 gigs worth of files from my HDD to my flash drive and it it only take 5 sec's. Again. There's some thing wrong with this PC
I'll have to call MSI Support on Monday. Unless you have any ideas, I been searching for some results on google.com my mother board didn't match with what they have. What I did find, that it has to relate to the PCI Bus. And I updated those drivers with Live Update 5.

  • Hi, recently my MacBook pro 13" late 2011 model stopped powering up. I did looked into the internet they were saying memory problem. when I took it to Apple service center they said mother board needs to be replaced. could anyone help me please?

my late 2011 MacBook pro stopped powering up. Service people are saying motherboard needs to be replaced. The worst part is motherboard cost is 2/3 of the laptop cost. Could anyone help me to understand the issue please?

The issue is simple. Your Mac computer has failed because of a faulty Logic, Mother, board. Happens all the time with many make and model notebooks
Yes Apple Mac computers, even though more expensive than most any other brand, have these problems just like all the rest.
Only thing you can do is either pay to have the logic board changed or buy a new computer.

  • Pavillion DV4 mother board replacement

My Pavillion dv4 VM298UA won't charge.  I tried a new battery, charger and DC jack but no luck.  After searching the forums it looks like I need to replace my mother board.  Does anyone have answers to the following questions?
    1. What causes a mother board to go bad like this?
    2.  If I replace it is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?
    3.  I have seen new and refurbished boards avaliable with the refurbished ones being about half the cost of new.  Is it ok to use a refurbished one?  The benefit is lower cost, but what is the risk?
    4.  Is there anything else that needs to be replaced at the same time?  ie fan, heat sink, etc
    5.  The boards I have seen do not come with a processor.  Is it a big deal to take the processor off my existing board and transfer it to the new board?  Any special tools or techniques needed?
    6. How likely is it that the mother board is the problem and not something else?  Is there any way to look at the mother board and tell?  Any tests that could be done?
    7.  Anything else I should be aware of before I invest any more $ into this thing?
Thinking about this another way, with the hard drive from this computer fit into any other computer?  I really would like to reserect the computer, but wjhat I really need to do is to get some stuff off the hard drive.  Is there another compure I could get that I could plug this HD into?
Are there any post that address these issues that I just haven't found yet?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Hello , the mother board notebook burned . How and where can I buy a new one, being in Brazil ?
Check with HP of Brazil or if they have eBay in Brazil and search for your board number to see if there is someone selling a matching board.

  • HPE-400f running but no picture or beep/manuf defect mother-board/should'nt HP fix it?

This is the letter i just sent to the HP CEO.
    PLEASE HELP!
I have been trying to get to the bottom of my HPE-400f problem for months now, and now I found an article disclosed by HP, that my model is included in the models that have a MANUFACTURER's DEFECT!
I believe it stated that the ongoing defect was with the mother-board.
I am hoping you will help me, because I am trying to avoid having to call India, and be put on hold for 1 hr., like the person that give me the link for the recall did.
I purchased my PC on 01/12/11, with the 2yr. extended $120.00 warranty,
Hp states they are adding 1 yr to that, but that still puts me out of warranty for like 7 mths now.
Why was I not notified by mail, that my investment in an almost $900.00 HP PC, had a DEFECT?
I hope that you will help me by doing the right thing, and taking care of this problem for me?
If you will, I will continue to be a loyal HP customer, as I have been since the 90"s.
If I have to pay, to fix HP's screw-up, I will NEVER have another HP product no where near me!
This Manfactured Defect, is the same thing to me, as an automobile recall.
I have to take my Toyota Prius in now for a problem, which has been recalled!
Of course , there will be NO-CHARGE at all, for this was their screw-up!
Please put yourself in my position, have some compassion/sympathy, and treat me the way you would want to be treated.
Please respond as soon as you can. I have been w/o this PC for some time now.
I have already purchased a video card replacement, due to its fan not working, and a power supply, because I thought maybe that was my problem, until I found HP's recall on the motherboard.
Here is the link to the RECALL information, that was NOT sent out to their customers!>>>>>>>http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03199423

  • Has anyone seen this MacBook Pro 15" 2008 problem before?

Hi. My MacBook Pro has developed a fault whereby a horizontal line appears on the screen, the mac freezes then a host of vertical lines gradually appear on the screen until it is obscured. Something similar happened in May last year and Apple charged me over £300 to repair it, replacing the 'mother board'.
I have so far taken it into the Apple shop twice in the last week (a two hour round trip). Both times they have opened it, cleaned it and declared it fixed. This time it lasted about an hour before happening again, although this time at least I've been able to restart it.
Has anyone seen this before, or have any advice about how best to proceed?
I have put a video of the symptoms here:
    20120915 135612 - YouTube
Thanks for reading. This is my first post so apologies if I've rambled a bit!
    Steve
    MacBook Pro 15", late 2008.

I wasn't notified that you asked me a question or that there was a new post on this topic. I should have been, that bugs me.
    Anyhow... Mr. Ah
The problem that some people, mostly with a certain video card, were having was when they updated from 10.5.4 to 10.5.5. For many of them the problem went away when they went through the hassle of reverting back to 10.5.4.
Did you +just recently+ update to 10.5.5? If you have, then their fix is for you too, going back to 10.5.4. If you have had 10.5.5 installed for a while now, and this just started happening, chances are good that it is your video card, or perhaps something affecting it like dust and dirt like DP says above.
If you have another start up drive, firewire or internal, and you had enough space on it you might consider installing a previous OS 10.5 on there and start up from it. If the problem went away you would know it's 10.5.5. Perhaps even if you started up from your OS disc the problem might go away and again you'd know it was 10.5.5. Apple was made aware of the problem on some machines and said they were going to come out with a fix, but I don't think they ever did.
Post back and say what the situation is, especially if you just recently updated to 10.5.5.
And post back with what kind of G5 you have, look in the "About this Mac" window.
Your card may be dying, but on the other hand it might be as easy as pulling it out, blowing it out, and putting the card back in again.

  • Weird Problem with Mother Board/CPU

English is not  my native language so if you don't understand something I will correct my post.
I bought a new PC 1 month ago.
    hxxp://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documentlc=en&lang=en&cc=us&product=425916&dlc=en&docname=c00189405
I only paid 50$ because the store did not know what was the problem.
I changed the orignal mother board for a 865g-m.
The computer always boot correctly until I add/remove hardware from it...
Last night I removed the the 256 mb dimm and replaced them with 2* 512 MB. It was working ok until I decided to put back the 256 mb DIMM to ad an extra 256 mb(without removing the new DIMMs). Since that my PC won't boot, my screen light stays orange, the hard drive don't make any sounds. The Back fan and the CPU fan are workging...
So I removed the 256MB DIMM and the PC still won't boot.
The last time I had this problem I reseted the BIOS/CMOS and the problem was solved. But sometimes I had to resest the bios a few times to solve the problem.
Now I tried to reset my bios 5 times and the problem is still here...
The PC speaker do not make any sounds.
I removed all IDE drives + the flopy drive + all the front and back USB/Firewire/on board sond card connecter
Could it be the CPU since I already changed the original mother board.
I think it's the CPU but could it be the power suply ?
Anyone already dealed with a similar problem ?
Is it possible that the CPU is making that kind of problem. (I added a 256 mb DIMM tried to boot with bad result so I removed the 256 mb DIMM and I cannot boot anymore)
    thanks
By surfing on the ECS website I noticed that my mother board SPEC are not the same as the one on this website... For exemple I have 2 SATA slot but on the product specification website there is none.. Even the product picture is not correct...
On this link you will find the website product spec :
    msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=495
On the second link you will find my  real mother board
    cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=80159&item=6830055645
On my mother board there is a sticker with the name "865g-m"
Can anyone help ? Since I need the real motherboard spec if I want to change the CPU

Adding RAM = make sure you have the power!
My bet here is that your power supply is to blame. Your sig line says "compact power suply" and that cant be good. Most of the time manufatures try to cut down the costs but useing cheap power supplies.
Best case: its just your power supply that you need to get a quality name brand...antec..ocz..and so on.
Worst case: i have heard that sometimes the manufactures have a certain voltage on thier power supplies that will only work with thier mother baord. I heard that dell does this. So if you mix and match the psu and a different board...well it wont be good.
I say get new power supply, if that doesnt work just return it.
